Message from the author:
A few things before we begin. I know I said that I wanted to keep this small, and I do. However, if this begins to get popular, I will allow others to join if they so wish. To ensure that things go smoothly, any character not posting regularly will be killed off. If they were important to the RP, I’ll work around that by either taking control of their character or finding other ways to write them off. So, if you want to have a continued purpose in this RP, post.

Furthermore, I expect you all to discuss in this thread. Not sure where things are going? Post. Work out plans with other characters. Talk to them and cooperate. Don’t “Rambo” the RP. I do hold the right to godmod your character if you start getting out of control as well. However, I don’t think I’ll have to use this. We’ll see.

One more thing… as far as posts go, I’m not expecting long novel-like posts. But I also will not tolerate short posts that consist of little more than a paragraph. Also, I expect the grammar to be top notch. Nothing is more annoying that having to translate a post to acceptable grammar while you’re trying to read it. I understand that we’re not perfect, but please try and stay on your toes when it comes to grammar. Also: FORMATTING, MOTHERFUCKER, DO YOU USE IT?! Paragraphs consist of 4-6 sentences, not 25-30 sentences. No one likes a wall of text.


Premise: The story takes place in the fictional city of New Bedford, USA (for climate purposes we’ll say it’s on the east coast). The date is January 13th, 2013 and the city is rather cold and it snows just about every day. During the previous month of December 2012, the prediction of the world ending, of course, went completely passed and nothing of significant importance happened at all. Despite making a lot of people look rather foolish, it did manage to do something else. Hardly anyone noticed it at all.

A certain group of people started feeling sharp pains within them. Normally, this only happened once, perhaps twice a year. During the month of December and after these individuals have felt this phenomenon more and more. Sometimes this is to the point of where it’s happened multiple times a day. The feeling is a deep feeling of loss for some, and for others the feeling is a loss of an annoyance. It tends to differ with each individual.

The people in question can be seen as special, and their existence isn’t very known at all; even to themselves. Each of these people has a gift; an ability that they can use however they wish. Some know of their ability and can use it well. Others don’t have such a grasp on it. Each of these people has gotten their abilities in different ways. Some have had theirs given to them. Others have been forced into theirs. Some have even found and taken them by force.

However, there exists a small group of people who make hunting these people down and killing them a sport. These people call themselves “Seekers” and want nothing more than to wipe those with power off the face of the planet. Yet it seems that recently they’ve been out to kidnap them rather than kill them. Their methods are rather unknown by everyone except for themselves. But they do have skill in capturing most that hold a power.

Our story begins on midnight, the beginning of January 13th. The sky is dark as no moon is out and the cold is enough to make the most hardened person shiver.


The Holders: These are the people that hold an ability. The ability in question can be nearly anything. From shooting lightning from one’s fingertips to rendering themselves invisible. There exists many of these people, and their abilities are as vast and different as the many people of the world. Each of them are invincible; meaning that they cannot die a natural death. However, they can still be killed. Injuries heal quicker than most, but most certainly not instantly. Anyone can be a Holder, all they must do is be given a power. The only way to do this is for the Holder of an ability to give up their power to someone else. One Holder can have multiple powers.

Note: This does not mean that all Holders are on the same side. In fact, many are more than open to the idea of torturing other Holders for their power.

The Seekers: The individuals are highly skilled at what they do: tracking down and killing Holders. For the longest time these people have simply been killing Holders. However, when they learned that the powers from a Holder simply jump from one person to the next as they’re killed, they’ve taken to kidnapping them. Their bodies are typically never found. People that have been captured by a Seeker are typically never seen again. Despite not having powers, they have proven time and time again that they are a force to be reckoned with. Their weapons are typically man made inventions designed to combat Holders. (Example: Staffs that generate electricity and fire at the target)

Note: This does not mean that all Seekers are against Holders. Many simply seek so they may gain the powers of a Holder for themselves.

Abilities: The abilities of a Holder are what make them special. You will never find two Holders with the same ability. Some are offensive and not to be trifled with. Others are defensive and not to be attacked. Others are simply helpful, while others are merely passive.

Meaning, everyone that makes a Holder will be given certain details that people who make a Seeker will not get and vice versa. Meaning, the story isn’t completely thought up yet. Personality: Most people describe Alyss as being a spoiled brat, and to be honest they’re completely right. She is rather used to getting what she wants when she wants it, and is not very used to taking “no” for an answer. The vast majority of people find Alyss to be a pain to be around. Her social skills are rather… non-existent. She will tell you what she thinks and most of the time it’s nothing good. She doesn’t really like other people due to the fact that she hasn’t had much experience with other people. She smart, so she views anyone who can’t think on her level to be a waste of time.

She likes to think rather logically, but finds herself unable to do so if she’s being rushed or panicked. While she is cold to most people, she doesn’t have the capacity to be horrible to them. Under no circumstances could she ever bring herself to harm someone. If one can actually manage to get around her somewhat bitter, cold, and bratty personality, they can find a loyal friend in there somewhere.

When placed up against someone willing to harm her, most find she’ll either run or fold up. It’s not hard to scare her into that kind of situation. Until that point, most people simply leave her alone. As stated earlier, she can be a very loyal friend, but it's learning how to get close to her that can be hard. She expects the absolute worst out of people and as such cannot see a good reason at all for getting to know anyone.

She is terrified of any things that most would consider silly. She is afraid of open flames, water that she can't see the bottom of (dirty lakes and things of that nature, a muddy puddle wouldn't have an effect on her), spiders, bugs, random loud noises (thunder especially), and being publicly humiliated. Yet, even then, she refuses to accept the help of other people. She tries to be independent even when she knows she can't be.

If one were looking forward to getting on her good side, they would do well to bring up anything that she actually likes. Some of her favorite things are cats, chicken alfredo, and butterscotch candies. However, anyone attempting to actually get to the point of dating her would be very hard pressed in doing so. No one has ever successfully gotten to that point.

First Impression: Most will find her to be extremely bratty when they first meet her.

Distinguishing Marks: She has a small triangle shaped birthmark right in the middle of her spine in the small of her back.

Style: As pictured above, Alyss wears fancy clothing. She enjoys being dressed for success and will not tolerate to wear clothes that show skin below her neck, save for her arms. Her hair is always let back and can be a tangled mess at times. When perfectly straight, her hair goes all the way down to her lower back; almost touching her bottom.

Attire: As pictured above, she wears a rather loose white shirt (she doesn’t enjoy tight clothing) with another, smaller, white undershirt under it. The sleeves go past her elbow but stop at her forearm. Around her neck she wears a stringy tie-like accessory. Her skirt is rather long and goes all the way down to her ankles. Below her skirt she wears a pair of thick, pitch black stockings that are nigh impossible to see through. The skirt itself is brown.

Special Talents/Abilites: Strangely enough, and unknown to most people, Alyss is a rather good cook.

Weapons: n/a

Strengths: Her mind. She can think light on her feet if need be, and is incredibly intelligent.

Weaknesses: Due to her small stature, she’s rather fragile. A well placed punch would knock her out. She is also prone to panic attacks when she is placed in a situation where she has no control. When she was younger, she was prone to asthma attacks, but hasn't had one in years.

Speed : Being as small as she is does have its advantages, though. She can run rather quickly.


Stamina : However, she can’t maintain it for long. Another part of being small is that she simply doesn’t have muscles, or the muscle endurance to run fast for long.


Reflexes : Tying into her small stature is her ability to dodge. It’s nothing fancy as she’s not a fighter. But she can dodge quickly if need be.


Fighting Style : Not one to fight, she tries her best to run at all times if faced with opposition. She’s trained somewhat in fencing… but due to the lack of rapier, it’s not like it helps her much.


Weapons : n/a


Magic : Her ability is the ability to teleport. She can teleport from one location to another instantly. However, she either has to be able to see where she’s going, or have been to the place she wants to teleport to before. She cannot, under any circumstances, teleport to a place she’s never been to. Furthermore, she cannot teleport while someone is holding her; but she can teleport if holding someone else. She will bring that person with her as well. If she is in too much pain, she cannot teleport. If she is restrained to an object she cannot move, she cannot teleport. She can’t teleport objects she cannot move either.

Due to the nature of her abilities, she can only teleport about six times in a day before she’s had enough. If she teleports too quickly after a previous teleport, her nose will begin to bleed. She does this so much that she regularly doesn’t catch that her nose is bleeding and someone has to point it out to her.

Speech: Alyss speaks with a rather high class/bratty tone in her voice. It doesn’t help that this is underlined by the fact that she has an English accent. As soon as she opens her mouth people tend to realize that she’s a spoiled little rich girl. As she speaks, she never uses contractions. Words like “can’t” or “don’t” never go past her lips as she prefers to say the whole word. “Can’t” becomes “cannot”, and so on and so forth.

Alyss isn’t very close with either of her parents. The only thing they ever provided her was a private education, money, and nannies to take care of her as she was growing up. None of which, she was very close to.

History: Alyss comes from a rather rich family. Her entire life she has been sheltered and given everything she has ever wanted. Not once in her life has she actually had to go without. Her parents got her everything she wanted. However, she was never very close with them. They had no time for a daughter, but had one anyway. This didn’t give her any hatred towards them. While she doesn’t particularly care for them much, she doesn’t hate them, and as long as they’re giving her what she wants, she couldn’t care less.

Because of this upbringing, she doesn’t exactly have people skills. She was homeschooled, so she didn’t have any friends, and her teachers described her as “the best, but most horribly behaved student” they had ever had. She was smart, and did well on all of her tests, but had no patience to stick with one thing for too long. Never finding anything particularly interesting, she was never really able to pick just one area of study to go into. Still, she moved out into a place her parents are paying for that’s somewhat close to her school. She walks there every afternoon, stays for a couple of classes, and goes back home.

However, it was actually one of those days at the age of eighteen that she first got her power. As she walked home one day she was pulled into an alleyway by an older woman. Nothing was said to her but “you look like the type who could use this one” and then she embraced tightly. It took Alyss a month to figure out what happened that night. As she was walking home for school on a different day, she simply thought about being back at home hard enough, and found that she was suddenly there. Ever since then she’s figured out what her ability is but doesn’t actually know too much about it. For the last month she’s been feeling strange pangs of what feels like guilt. Before it was only once every few months, but it’s escalated to the point where she feels it multiple times a day. Not only does she not like it, it’s a horrible inconvenience. Now she wants to find out where her power came from, and why she’s feeling something she doesn’t want to feel.

fuuuck me that's a good bio template, I haven't had to think about that shit for a long time. I started it the other day already and have two pages of history, but it looks like THAT won't even be as important. Ah well, keeping it anyway.

This is just a placeholder post for a Telekinetic/Psionic powered Holder character, wanting to reserve the spot/power. I won't get to finish my bio which is on another computer until I get back home for another day or so.

Personality: Living in a poor country for a good portion of his life made Levont into a humbled but calculating man who is smooth with his words when he wants to be if it were to benefit himself in any way and his fist tends to do the talking when his words fail him. Despite all this, Levont is an OK guy to hang around so long as they can tolerate him. His social skills is honed sharp to keep his words from having an unintended effect.

He is logical in any situation and rightly so until one tries to stack many problem on him at the same time.

First Impression: Many people will see Levont as a humbled schemer.

Style: As stated above, Levont wears a simple shirt, pants, and jacket. The shirt is a sleeveless shirt and the jacket is also sleeveless with the tail end that stops at his knees. He is dressed for practicality and comfort as well as movement.

Attire:
Levont Mires wears a tan coat with a black shirt and grey pants. All of which has signs of wear and tear on it.

Special Talents/Abilites: Despite his looks, Levont can drive a motorcycle extremely well since there is a low age limit to drive in Vietnam. A great martial arts fighter and a decent chain fighter.

Weapons: His fist/feet, a seven foot long chain and whatever he can pick up.

Strengths: A Flexible fighter that can take quite a few hits (roughly 12-15 non stomach/non head attacks. 3-5 stomach/head attack)before going down and a good motorcycle driver.

Weaknesses: Being a flexible fighter makes him a rounded fighter that does not excel in overall strength or speed. He also have no response to range attacks, forcing him to try and get to mid range before he can make an attack

Vitality : Read Strengths

Speed : He can run as well as an average 18 year old cross country runner.

Stamina : Levont has a decent stamina that allows him to run and fight for a period of time. Nothing comparable to a person who has done sports throughout their life.

Reflexes : Moderate reflexes that allows him to dodge attacks with relative ease.

Fighting Style : Tae kwon do. Levont loves to kick people a lot and this fighting style appeals to him more so then anything else. He also incorporated fighting with a chain to cover a fair distance from him. If he is on a motorcycle when he gets into a fight, he will most likely try to knock the driver out using any methods to get them off of him. He will also use his chain on a motorcycle to harass the driver into making a mistake.

Weapons :
His Fist and Feet, a seven foot long chain, and anything he can pick up to use.

Magic : Wind Manipulation. Using the Erg of magic, Levont can create a powerful blast of wind to the point of pushing items or people away from him or towards him. The manipulation of wind can also be used to create either tornadoes, sandstorms if he were in a desert, or water tornadoes if he were in or close to any sort of large body of water. But due to the implied application of the magic, it is mostly impractical magic for Levont to use due to the collateral damage that the ability causes.

The downside of the magic is the fact that the he himself is not immune to the stronger applications of Wind Manipulation, meaning that he himself could be caught in his own tornado/Water tornadoes/ Sandstorms if he is not careful. Another downfall to the magic is that if he uses the magic more then 7 times in the day, he will start to succumb to oxygen depletion meaning that if he were to use the max of 10 magic in a day, his body will not handle the strain and he will lose consciousness.

Speech: Levont's speech is obvious with the accent that comes from learning a new language. So he can't pronounce hard words like desecration without messing up at least once. But that could also attribute to how quick he took to that language.

History: Levont Mires was born to An Duy Mires and Ba Lan Mires in Hanoi, Vietnam. Being the younger sibling of his brother Tri Mires, he was exposed to the harsh lifestyle of Vietnam where everything he wanted, he had to work for. That was fine with him up to the age of 6.

At age 6, both of his parents died from an illness that Levont can't remember. With the sudden burden of his parents not there anymore, Tri Mires made Levont work with him in the Mechanical shop to support themselves. At the same time, Levont started saving money to go to school so that he could find a better life in another country. To that end, he started to learn English since it was an universal language.

His efforts paid off at age 15. Through an international program, a wealthy family has sponsored for his education as well as supporting his brother financially in part They would also pay for the first three months of his apartment. The stipulation for that was Levont was to come to America and work for his living since the family will only support his education and pay for his license to drive as well as pay for only one car or motorcycle.

Knowing that, Levont said farewell to his brother and flew to New Bedford. It was during the flight over international water that he acquired his Wind Manipulation. Not knowing that the woman beside him at the time was his sponsor, she started to talk to him in English. Levont started talking with her and enjoyed a nice talk. He knew something was off when the lady suddenly said to him in his native language, "Gió ủng hộ bạn.Vì vậy, bạn sẽ vui lòng gió." (The wind favors you. So you would please the wind.)" Not knowing what was off, Levont laughed it off and decided to sleep.

It was a windy day when Levont reached New Bedford. A limo await for him infront of the airport, but just before he got to the car, a strong gust of wind blew his passport out of his hand. Chasing after it, he desperately wished that the wind would stop long enough for him to get his passport, for he knew that the passport was everything in the new country. The wind died down suddenly as Levont looked around. Looking confused and pondering a bit, Levont grabbed his passport and ran back to the Limo just before the wind started to pick up again.

It took Levont two years to figure out what happened that fateful two days. On December 2012, Levont started to have the feeling of homesick that occurred more often then he wanted. It was then that the apartment room he was living in was breezy and papers started to fly around. That confused Levont greatly since all the windows were closed. After a few minutes of running and trying to grab his papers with little success, Levont grumbled, "I wish this weird breeze just stop already." With that, the breeze stopped and Levont suddenly had his answer that he was somehow able to control the wind. Questions started to fill his head as it created the yearning for who put this mysterious ability into him and why he can't stop feeling homesick.

It is now Janurary 13,2013 and Levont is now ready to search for the answers to the questions that plagued him.

Personality: Andrea is a happy and kind person that don't let anyone stomp all over him, ever.

He is a free kind of person and don't like people who try to rob him off that freedom, may it be a friend or a enemy. He follows his own heart and have til now thrown away most rules that have followed him from Russia. He is rather unreliable and can help out if it gains him something, and leave the next second if he feels the goal of the group does not follow his own goals. Also his ways of dealing with things often go against the ways of others, however the amounts of f**ks he gives are zero to none.

He is a rather civil human being that don't start conflicts, but if someone starts irking him, he will surely make it very clear that they are pissing him off and show it with great determination. Talking about determination, he is a very determined person that won't stop at anything to get his way.

Other than that he is a happy person that loves life, and may no one screw with that.

First Impression: Well for one thing he looks very much like a she. Even his voice is feminine and quite light so most people who first meet him will think he is the cutest girl.

Distinguishing Marks: The fact that he looks like a cute girl could be counted as a huge mark it self.

Style: As pictured his style is feminine, lolita and androgynous. He loves women clothing and dresses, especially lolita styled clothing, even if it is designed by himself. His hair is always dyed pink, always and he uses hours styling it in its overly long princess curl style that reaches beyond his hips in a side ponytail.

Attire: His most used outfit is the most practical he has for movement, as most lolita dresses are either way too expensive, or too restrictive. He wears completely white half-coat half-dress. At the chest it is designed to look like a clean looking corset with a zipper in front with frills on the side and have two straps over his shoulders to keep it up. From the waist down it cuts off and looks more like a coat then anything. It extends to her ankles and the entire edge lining is covered in frills.

To cover up his more private area he wears a pair of rather tight and white pants that barely reaches his knees with frills at the edges. Over the “dress” he wears a short jacket that he can't even close. It has poofy shoulders and the sleeves are rather loose, tied up at his wrists with a pair of bands.

When it comes to his legs he wears a pair of tight fitting lilac shoes that sit tight and won't come off even if he tried to kick them off. For accessories he wears a headband tied around his head with a small looking white top hat. Also for his hair he has a bunny hairband that ties his hair up rather nicely.

Special Talents/Abilites: He is a very good clothing designer. And is also one who has a great eye for matching clothes to suit his preferred style.

Weapons: n/a

Strengths: He is very athletic and can easily move very on point and controlled. Due to his dance training he is deceptively strong physically, but not as strong as a muscular brute.

Weaknesses: Due to his nature, if he steps one step out of line when he dodges things or move really fast his entire rhythm falls off and can be exploited easily.

Vitality: He is able to take a few hits before falling over, but isn't a freaking tank that can withstand several ongoing hits to his body.


Speed: He has a very normal running speed, maybe above average at best.



Stamina: His stamina is remarkable. Even when hit he can gather enough strength to withstand one more hit and he can run for a great amount of time. Thank lord for dancing.



Reflexes: He has rather on point reflexes that should not be messed with. He is used to pin point choreography and dodging a flailing hand whenever it comes towards him. He however can't dodge a bullet if it was shot 5 feet away, barely anyone can do that.



Fighting Style: If Andrea gets in a fight he will fight rather swift and is very mobile about it. History: Andrea was born and raised in Moskva, Russia by his mother Alicia and his father Kain that was of English decent. He lived a pretty normal life up until he hit age 6. His mother started to teach him dance something his father completely detested. He joined many dancing tournaments and won a lot of trophies for his unmatched dancing ability, however his father never praised him one bit.

When he became 12 he started to step away from dancing and put it as a hobby. His mother was fine with it, and his father was ecstatic about it. However his father got really surprised when he started to sow instead. He also started to develop a rather feminine way of acting and started to speak rather feminine as well. It was the his father decided it was a great idea to have an affair, and shortly after he left for England with his new whore girlfriend.

His mother was always supportive for whatever Andrea did. And at one point in his life he started to wear dresses and started to idolize Japanese Lolita dresses and models. And it did not take long until he started to design his own designs and sell them online for quite the profit.

Many people started to point out Andrea's oddity and it was then he changed his name from André to Andrea so people could just get of his back. It was not official, but he liked the name a lot. He never looked upon himself as transgender, he just felt it fit him better.

When he turned 16 his mom fell ill and he started taking his business more and more seriously to help pay for treatment, but it did not help much. His mother died when he was 17 years old and he was left alone. His father took contact shortly after and made him move to England.

When he got to England his father did not pay much attention to him. It was like living with someone who did not exist at all. It wasn't until Andrea started bringing guys and take them home that shit started to go down and Andrea was beaten to a pulp by his father in a weekly matter. It was harsh, but he discovered make-up through this. Whatever his father did it made whatever he hated worse, in the end he could not handle this anymore and killed himself by drug overdose.

And once again Andrea was alone.

When Andrea passed December of 2012 he started to feel weird having stinging headaches more frequently. He could remove them with painkillers, but they started to appear more and more frequently. It was then he noticed that he could breath abnormally well. He thought this was weird as if he could feel all the air in the room inside his lungs. He then let out a large cough and everything in front of him pretty much scattered across the room as if a powerful wind had wrecked the room. He then started to think he was going crazy now, but surely he found out that he could control the air around him and even create it. It was a revelation to him.


“Maybe … Maybe I can do something right.”

And now the date is January 13th , 2013 and his quest to unravel his full power finally comes.

Personality: Altera has shifts in personality. Her dominant personality is cold and methodical. She thinks nothing of casually ending a life and rarely shows emotion. She is ruthless, thinking nothing of torture and murder if it furthers her goal.

However, she is not so psychopathic as to think of violence as the only option, and will not target innocent humans. While she will happily harm them as collateral damage to further her goals, she will not go out of her way to make them suffer or kill them where she can avoid it.

She is a logical thinker, and plans things with as much precision as possible, thinking up every logical conclusion and altering factor she can in an event and come up with as many possible solutions as possible to any one situation.

Her secondary personality tends to arise as a direct result of the necessity of socializing, and she will often keep this personality even as she threatens peoples's lives and engages in torture and homicide.

Altera can create shockwaves, bolts of electricity, and localized thunderstorms with this power. She can also hack into electric locks, using this to break into places. If she is more than 50% wet by any means, this ability becomes much less effective.

Ability Three: Ephemeron (Laser Generation)

Altera can refract light to create multicolored lasers, which she affectionately calls Ephemerons. These can come in single, thick pillars, thin prongs, rain from the sky etc etc. She can create these lasers anywhere within a one hundred foot radius. The thicker the laser, the more energy is drained.

If she overuses her magic, she will receive headaches, alternating fever and chills, and nosebleeds. Continued use after this will result in bleeding from the eyes and light foaming at the mouth. A few hours of rest after this will result in a complete recovery. However, if she continues to use magic after the stage two symptoms show themselves, Altera will collapse involuntarily for ten to twelve hours, becoming completely vulnerable.

History: For as long as she could remember, Altera was in a foster home. While she was cared for well enough, she never received much attention, being part of a community of twenty or more children, and was never adopted.

She suffered from depression in her teenage years, though never enough to even consider suicide. However, this depression followed her into her adult life. She continued to feel unwanted as she engaged in meaningless relationships defined only by sex in a desperate attempt to feel necessary in someone's life.

As someone who was always skeptical of apocalypse stories, it came as no surprise to her when December 2012 came and went without incident. She simply continued her meaningless life in her dead end job, as she always had.

However, she was among those who experienced pains and aches as January 2013 rolled on endlessly. Yet as she realized what she was, and how to control the force fields she could create, the pains became worse. Worse than most or everyone else who had experienced them, to the point she would wake up at night screaming her lungs out. Before long, the pains were ruining the fragile, pointless life she had built up. She lost her job, her "boyfriend", and received an eviction notice on her apartment; the screams had been disturbing the neighbors and people as far as five miles away.

As she packed up to leave, numb; not knowing where she would go or what she would do, a bang startled her. Turning around, she was knocked to the ground before she knew what was happening.

The next few nights passed in a blur. Her arms and back were burned with acid and cigarette butts each time her force fields were broken. Molested, threatened in broken English and Spanish, and eventually raped. Seeker was the word she heard the most in her steadily breaking mind, from his mouth; emitting breath that smelled like nicotine and gasoline, and after one particularly violent night, she unclasped her captor's gun and turned it on him, already manic and terrified; too much so to show either mercy or brutality. The aches and pains layered over with new physical and mental trauma, she killed her tormentor where he stood and went out into the world.

Her injuries healed quickly. Too quickly. Yet scars were still left, as they were with such things; both mental and physical. And so she wandered on for a long time; days, maybe. Hours most likely.

The world was going to Hell. Biting down the pain, she hid in dumpsters and alleyways as she made her way through her home; corrupted and brutalized under cover of night or shadow, depending on the time of day.

Two days after she killed her captor, she took refuge in a warehouse, yet heard screaming and clutter from further within. As she ventured further inside, she viewed a battle similar to that she had undergone herself two days hence, and watched as a lightning wielder and a man capable of forming and firing lasers annihilated several men in white coats, before collapsing.

Altera ventured forward, and the lightning wielder and laser former looked at her and spat, willing away their powers with spiteful glares. And yet her wish was fulfilled, and the power transferred despite her skepticism. However, without the healing factor of a power wielder, the two quickly succumbed to gunshot wounds the white coated people had inflicted.

Venturing further into the warehouse, Altera came across a great machine. Her eyes lit up as she stared upon it. It felt unusual, yet familiar. But as she approached it, a pair of hands reached from the darkness and grabbed her, clawing into her scarred, burned, and still healing arms.

Their fight lasted several minutes, and eventually Altera pushed the deranged man, capable of inhumanly fast movement, away. As he stumbled, he tumbled into the great machine behind them, and was gone.

But the sounds weren't. The man screamed and bellowed for help, willing it from God, his mother, his older brother. But none came. And yet as his screams grew fainter and became silent, Altera's pain faded. Not a lot, but enough to become bearable; enough that she no longer needed to scream or cry every few minutes.

What was this machine? Was it a savior? Was something waiting on the other side that would save her from this pain? That would save everyone from this crumbling world? Surely yes, she thought as the final echos of the man's screaming died, and something hardened inside her, becoming like ice in her veins.

She no longer remembered her old life; no longer recalled her depression, her pain, her indirection.

For the first time in life, she had a purpose.

And if that purpose required more sacrifice, then so be it.

Personality: Connor is a devious prankster. he loves playing tricks and has been in the trickster business for many years. Many would say he is Gentle demon. Despite the insults about being a "Stupid little sneak-thief prankster" He is actually rather smart and likes to talk about the world. he knows his life lessons and knows when things cross the line. He is easy to trust and easy to forgive.

For him though, he is easy to trust you. But you will have to go through hell in order to gain his forgiveness. It's not everyone who can genuinely say they are friends with Connor Spiritum.

Weaknesses: Sometime he thinks too much, and his hand to eye coordination can suffer. He is also very focused to the point that when exciting a prank someone can sneak up behind him and he might not notice.

He also doesn't pay attention to the background, so someone from afar could notice him and he wouldn't.

He doesn't like being rejected for love. It makes him depressed and mopey. Did i mention he's scared of the dark?

Magic : He can posses object. a Simple touch and focus of the mind can insert his body and soul into in object. (A La Ghost trick) He can move freely within the object and can transfer into other object if they touch.

As the power progresses he can "Jump" into objects. Even if they aren't touching. it also allows him to possess animals and humans. the more the power grows, the bigger the animal you can possess.(And object)

Some humans however. have the mental will to stop the possession and will kick him out of the body immediately. causing him to reappear on the ground. They don't even realize he tried to possess them!

When he wants to exit the object, he must think hard and will his body to separate from the object. A Flash of light will signify his return.

Any objects on his person will be brought into the object will him. e Cannot possess his own clothes or studs of earrings of necklaces lest they are hanging off his finger. The possess would fail and could possibly trap him into nothingness.

While he can travel as fast as he wants in Possession form. returning to the world will cause him to be disoriented and nauseated for a short while.

History: Connor was born in Glasgow Scotland. December 25 1998. His mother, Skye Davis. Had met a Greek man over in Greece and had dated him for a while. Upon return home to Glasgow 6 months later. She found that she was pregnant.

Skye went through a lot of trouble to notify the man she had dated. Titus Spiritum. Titus had quickly come from Greece to Scotland to meet up with Skye. He stayed with her and learned English in order to be with her.

When Connor turned twelve, Skye was killed in a plane crash as she was flying home from Glasgow. This was right when Titus was about to ask her hand in marriage.

After that..Titus became quite unemotional. Taking Connor and moving to America. trying to forget everything about his past life.

Connor grew up with the help of many people on the streets. He wasn't a gangster. but the things he learned have saved his life many times.

His father had recently gotten a new job. It was a as a Advertising campaign of sorts. He was required to fly to his location when the time for a meeting arose. unable to leave Connor alone.(And unwilling) He brought Connor along to New bredford

While roaming the streets of his neighborhood. a Sharp pain pierced his head. then his entire body. A combination of all the pains he had been feeling. pushed into one. He fainted.

when he awoke, he was laying face down in the hotel Feeling like his previous encounter was just a dream, he attempted to melt into the pillow. Rather weirdly for him. He did melt into the pillow. He tried moving his arms and legs. but the only thing he accomplished was zooming around the feathers. passing through each one. Jumping.

He pushed against the pillowcase. Trying to break free, His body slamming hard against the blue and white sheet. And with a flash, he was back.

He sat up and looked at the clock that rested beside him.. 12:10 December 25.

It was then, Connor realized. Tricks could be played. He had a strange new power. One he was rather confused about.

And so the 14 year old child, began his new game of powers. Connor Spiritus Became a ghost.

The meeting continued for many a week. endless conversation based on the complication of advertising. January 13th rolled around. His father currently in a heated debate, when he felt it. A sense of total unease. a Sense of forboding. resting a against a nearby wall, Connor reached up and grabbed a falling leaf.

His hand shone blue.

Our story begins on midnight, the beginning of January 13th. The sky is dark as no moon is out and the cold is enough to make the most hardened person shiver.

When we start, It would be about halfway through the year, depending on the date Set. So he would be 14 for at least a little while

Though, I was kind of hoping that your character killing others or feeding them into that machine would have been the reasons as to why everyone’s characters were starting to feel that way, but I’m more than happy with what you put in. :grin:

Connor, before I accept you I’m going to have to call you out on this: In a lot of areas your grammar is… off, to say the least. A lot of words are misspelled and random words are capitalized when they shouldn’t be. There are places that need commas as well, and I’m a huge stickler for commas. You claim your character resides in New York and lives with his Father, yet provide no explanation as to what he’s doing in New Bedford. Not only this, your character is a thief who is “whimsical”. The manner of speech that he uses doesn’t seem to go very well with a thief. However, I think I can let that slide.

For your stamina you mention he can run three miles before he’s tired. This is very much on the unrealistic side. The world’s top athletes can run three miles easily, but they’re pretty tired when they do it. Plus, it’s not so much a run as it is a jog. I’m afraid I can’t let that one slide.

Also I state in the first post that the date in the RP at the time the RP starts is January 13th 2013. This isn’t half way through the year, so your character will be 14 at the start of the RP.

As for the magic, I said it was fine. Just bear in mind that you can’t use this ability on a player character, only NPCs and the such.

Just fix everything else, especially the grammar.

I'm not trying to be a bitch or anything, but one thing he mentioned was the random capital letters in your bio. Your post here has a lot too and I'm not... sure why you do that. As a general rule, only capitalize names/places/titles (proper nouns, in other words), the first letter of a sentence, and the word "I". The post I quoted would read:

I'm looking to create a Seeker character... It's not really mentioned, but is there a clear philosophy behind their interest in killing the Holders? Are they all doing this for the fun of it? Or is there some deeper meaning behind their actions?

More importantly, are they all working as a sole organization?

Ah, and theoretically speaking, if some Seekers take the powers for themselves, wouldn't that make them Holders hunted by their fellow Seekers?

That, and since there's this technology for combating Holders, has a tool for identifying Holders been developed for the Seekers?
 
If a Seeker takes a Holder's powers, they can still technically be a Seeker if they desire more. However, other Seekers will probably hate them. Some operate in groups, others do whatever they want. So when it comes to Seekers, they're vastly different. However, each of them want a Holder dead for whatever reason. (For sport, for their power, or simply because they don't like the fact that a human can have that kind of power.)

Anarchia is a pale woman. Her skin colour is rather light and has a rather pleasant pink hue to it. Her face is pointy in shape and her features are equally sharp, giving her a less homely and more independent and rather stunning look. This sets her apart from the "cute" town lasses appearing feminine and striking. Anarchia's nose is slender and comes to a point, while her cheek bones are higher. Her lips are of average size and are equally pale, being a light pink and slightly down turned while her eyes are large, but sharp in shape like an eagles. Matching her eyes are her eyebrows which are thin and angular. Her choice of hairstyle is surprisingly childish, being pulled into twin side pigtails with relatively long fringe down to her lips. It is parted on the left side of her head with most of her fringe sweeping right with a bit on the left going left, thus leaving her left eye clear while her right is somewhat hidden behind hair.

Anarchia has the bad luck of having her mother's recessive genes, giving her teal coloured hair and eye colour. It is made worse when it is not a slight under colour to her natural hair colour, but IS her primary hair colour, covering her eyebrows and entire head which has been turned into this fantastic bright teal. Anarchia is of average height at around 165 cm tall and weighing at about 55 kg, ideal for her line of work.

Personality:
[FONT=&quot]Anarchia's personality is a rather complex person. A basic look at it is that she is a whimsical yet scheming and planning, very unpredictable. Her interaction with people is best summarised with ice queen. As beautiful as the snow....and just as cold. Anarchia is unable, or chooses not to, empathise or take into consideration of others feelings for most of the times. The first and foremost important thing is her mission and her goals. Whatever needs to be done will be done in order to achieve what she wants. While she isn't the tyrannical arse hole that knocks children ice cream from their hand and enjoy terrorizing every village she goes to, she will not hesitate to use force to get her way. Mostly, she is persuasive enough to convince people to do what she says, but often she herself would get physical and confrontational or pull out a pistol when things do not go smoothly. As CO of an elite military unit, her presence and the way she holds herself is enough to ensure that she is able to pull it off.

As stated above, Anarchia does things at her own pace. She would not stand being ordered around by people less powerful than her, her superiors inclusive. Despite her lower rank, Anarchia has a lot of pull in the army. Depending on her mood, she can either pistol whip you in the face for annoying her or be generous and give offenders a chance, though it is usually said in a somewhat demeaning way. In a sense, she acts somewhat like a mob boss. She does not take lightly to insults. Life is cheap, especially those that wish to stand in her way.

Companionship is optimal, but not a necessity. She does not mind being in the group, but will be the stoic one, the quiet, proper type that tries to avoid frivolity, though she often can get too along with the mood and join. While she can talk normally, she tries not to show weaker feelings such as excitement, joy, embarrassment and such in case it shows her to be weak, though these innate human emotions poke through now and then.

Whether it be evil or good, both she will kill willingly and without hesitation. Of course, as said, she isn't some dictatorial monster, so for the good and the civilians, she would give them more warning, and negotiate longer before resorting to violence. Those that raise arm against her deserve to be brutally punished and Anarchia would see to it that it be done. She may pull back depending on the person, but they were still going to be in a whole world of hurting.

Unfortunately, as of late, her superiors have been cracking down on her behaviour. Therefore, Anarchia has become much more tolerant, via self control, and less likely to jump straight to violence. Especially since she is not in her home country, Anarchia has doubled her good behaviour.

First Impression:
How people react to her is straight forward. She is a military personnel, hence she carries herself straight and upright in a true military fashion. Her eyes tell people that she is not someone that is to be messed with or taken lightly, someone ruthless and cold and people can tell they are dealing with a trained professional soldier. Many would first notice her Teal features, being her eyes and her hair as well as its style. Next would be the military-standard, neat clothes and garrison cap and past that, if they are still staring at her and not taken aback with fear, they may notice her striking features.

Distinguishing Marks:
Her most distinguishing features are her teal eyes and hair. Even amongst her family, it is extremely rare to even have a hint of the colour.

Religion/Spiritual Views:
Anarchia is in the midst of religious turmoil. Due to the way she acts, she conflicts with many of the major religions. However, Anarchia does find the teachings of Buddhism interesting. For now, she is a paper Christian, only by name.

Style:
Anarchia is born and bred military. Her style is rather uniformed, straight and neat. It is mostly black and oddly, teal. Due to the contrast, it does stand out despite the rather uniform appearance of her clothes. Her hair isnt done in a fancy way, but just straight pigtails on both sides.

Attire:
Anarchia has always been partial to military neatness and uniforms. Her shirt is a black, short sleeved, buttoned suit shirt. Starting from her neck, running along the shoulders and down the side vertically to the end of the sleeves on both side is a teal line just slightly narrower than the width of her shoulder. She also has teal shoulder epaulette straps on her shoulders. Along her collar near the bottom is also a single teal line. Along the front where she buttons the buttons, it is also teal in colour. All buttoned but the top, Anarchia keeps the shirt closed via a thin teal tie. Her shirt is left untucked and covers a bit of her teal pleated skirt. The skirt reaches just halfway down her thighs. Slanted across her waist is a teal belt with a darker teal decoration which is where she clasp on her black carry cases for her gun and other instruments. On her legs, she wear thigh high black stockings with lighter black short heeled shoes that have teal decoration.

Along her left arm is a teal armband that has two black lines near its edges with her company, the
Nordwind Kampfer Fallschirmjager, symbol silhouette, the winged heart (it is black instead), in the middle. This means little to the average joe, but most military people will recognise the unit's emblem, regardless of country. On her hands are a pair of teal officers glove while on her ears are a pair of headphones, modified with built in boom mic she can extend out from the cover. It usually rest on her neck. What holds her pigtails together aren't rubber bands or elastics, but two black square object with a space in the middle, with a pink line down the middle on each. These do not touch her hair, but have four spokes that comes to the middle and connect with a circle, in which the pigtails thread through. This gives the impression of it floating and it is very secure.

On her left collar, she has her double silver bar captain insignia. Her rank insignia is similarly on the collar of her greatcoats.
On top of her normal clothes, she has a M42 Greatcoat in dark olive green. The tails on her coat are very long, reaching to her ankles. Anarchia tends to wear them in a way which there is a visible split at the front whilst being held together by a military belt which she holsters her other sidearm carbine and her other front line gear. On her head, she wears a garrison cap, with her captain double bar on the left side and her division's (Fallshmirjager/ paratroopers) formal badge on the right side of the front. When not worn, it is stuck on her greatcoat belt or fold and slipped into her shoulder straps.


Special Talents/Abilites:
Anarchia is a paratroper and a sniper. She is used to surviving by herself. She can be thrown into the middle of nowhere and survive. That and she can fly several type of aircraft and is a very talented pianist.

Weapons:
Anarchia originally has a plethora of weaponry, from high powered sniper rifle to pistols. However, given that she was sent overseas to America, it was obvious that she could not bring any over. Fortunately, for her, with special exemption due to her temporary transfer being military related, she could bring a few items from home. Due to her papers that she carry, most Law Enforcement Officers will not search her, happy enough to just see her credentials, which is why she can get away with most of the stuff on her.

Riding Crop:
Not really a weapon per se. An odd addition to a paratrooper, Anarchia uses this black authentic riding crop in place of her officer's baton. On her belt, both greatcoat and inside belt, she has a small holster for it. It can be used both as a training tool for discipline or as an actual weapon in tandem with her melee fighting for blinding and stunning. As it really isnt a weapon, she didnt need to use the exemption for it.
Blackhawk Tatang:
Anarchia has this blade stored behind her waist, under her shirt. Her numerous amount of knives show her proficiency and attachments for blade work and fighting.


Balisong Knife:
Hidden on her right outer thigh on a strap, hidden under her skirt. This, she carries around. Anarchia does not trust the security of America enough to walk around absolutely unarmed.

Retractable Knife: (Have a plan for this)
The last of her knives. The one where she hides with extreme effort. This one is hidden in her underwear. Yes, her underwear. Custom tailored to be able to hide this knife at her buttocks in a sown slim pocket just the right size. While most underwear leaves space between the cloth and one's crack is, Anarchia has her underwear made to utilise this space. It is where she hides the knife. It is not inside the crack per se, but just outside. When patted down, even under the closest feel, it cannot be detected unless they strip her of her underwear. Sitting and normal daily functions are not hindered at the least.

Coins:
Anarchia has a whole stack of coins ( 29 mm in diameter) in which she uses to shoot at people with using her ability. She also has a habit of playing with a medallion (45mm), which the coins are replica of, which is special to her. She stores them in spring pushed coin dispensers (but in dark black like her top) on her belt inside, so that she can just slip them out. The type of attack is more blunt type than pierce type, due to the projectile she chose to use
Combat Knife:
A large knife that is also clipped onto her utility belt outside of her cloak. It is 31 cm in length with a 18 cm blade. What she uses mainly for her melee fights. Due to size, it is left on the inside of her coat.

Strengths:
Anarchia's major strength is her military background and experience. Having gone through actual military combat on the front line, Anarchia is very capable to fight to kill, giving her an edge over normal civilians.

Weaknesses:
That said, she is light and leaner than most of her comrades. Therefore, despite her training, much larger opponents can hurt her if they land a solid hit. Tying in with her build, against larger enemies, straight out punches are ineffective and she may have to rely on aiming for weak spots or using weapon to cause harm.

Power:
Even though she is military and a front line soldier, Anarchia isn't overly strong. She is average and up to military standard, mostly due to her body frame. This is mostly due to her dependence on technique, skills and speed with her knives and guns. Against most civilians and the light weights, Anarchia can easily go and beat them. The more sturdy middleweights, will have her going toe to toe and with the powerhouse, Anarchia's unenhanced strength would do little.

Vitality :
As much as strength is not her forte, any military soldier has a good constitution and a strong body, tempered through tough training and experience. None more tough than those in the Nordwind Kampfer Fallschirmjager. As its commander, she herself is tough, able to sustain a fair amount of damage and abuse. As such, if compared via how many hit one can take, Anarchia would be on the lower end of the scale of the company. Around 7-9 direct hits will bring her down.

Speed :
Anarchia can reach a peak of 37 kmph on flat terrains and 30 kmph on uneven surface. In steep climbs, this is further reduced to 26 Kmph.

Stamina :
Every soldier in her company is drilled and hammered to perfection, and as one who lead by example, she herself is equally trained through the same training regime she puts them through. Anarchia has an average burst stamina. She can last only average when doing full throttle exertion. Her endurance, on the other hand, is phenomenal. She has been trained, as a sniper, to be able to keep going through enemy terrains, despite low morale, food and water over tremendous distances. She can trek for hours with ease. Peak running is capped at 3 minutes, before exponentially rising as the speed drops.

Reflexes :
Military action and training has drilled a automatic response when she sights a weapon. If a weapon appears in her view, she would react and turn towards that direction and get ready to move to a safer position should it be hostile. Her slight frame has also forced Anarchia to fight in a style where she cannot be hit. Therefore, dodging and countering is the most natural way of combat to her and she is damn good at not getting hit.

Fighting Style :
Anarchia fighting style concentrates on counter attacks and single critical hits. Her unarmed combat allows Anarchia and smaller stature soldiers to counter and get under guards to land accurate single hits that would be devastating in contrast to many normal hits. Her moves range from grabs, elbows, punches, knees, kicks, throws and chokes. Extremely efficient, it is a style which aims to disable and kill the opponent as fast as possible. Breaking limbs and bones is fair play and going for weak spot is not out of the books either.

Armed melee fight is with her military combat knife, fought both upright grip and reverse. Reverse is for parrying while upright is used for more offensive, stabbing and slashing and the like. Knife combat are often in tandem with hand to hand attacks.

Shooting is also second nature to Anarchia. She can use most conventional firearms and adjust quickly to non conventional ones rather fast. However, she is most efficient with her pistols and semi automatic rifles. With rapid fire assault rifles and such, she is only an average shot at distance past 100 meters. Therefore, she is poor with automatic weaponry.


Magic :
Anarchia's abilities is the power of vector manipulation. The ability to change the vector value of any object her field touches. Anarchia can generate a field that encompasses her body, though she has better control at her hands and feet. In an area the size of a targe around her feet and hands, she exercise more precise. Within these fields, Anarchia can manipulate the vector values of any item within them, ranging from stopping bullets in their path or making trains fly like a projectile. For less tangible things, she needs to concentrate in order to manipulate its vector. As such, fire, gases and lightning of the sort will require her to use her hands or feet to negate. Otherwise, during defense, some of it will phase through her general barrier. Having contact with the object let's Anarchia have more control and accuracy. Some example of her powers is that she can do the impossible for ordinary people, such as manipulating her own vector for propulsion, push and pull, launch objects at extreme speeds and to create fields for defense.

Use of the power has consequences. Considerable use would lead to loss of balance and vertigo, due to the body's reaction to . Constant use of vector manipulation will lead to mild loss of balance, which then escalates with further use. At the worse, When gone overboard, she would have trouble even running or jogging straight and her mind would feel like it is spinning. Defense fields and changing vectors of moving objects are more stressful than modifying her own vector or launching objects, which she can do more of.

The relationship of the Vesperia - Sevensheep is actually rather close. They all share a good relationship with each other and in essence, is perfect. Anarchia would be considered the "black sheep" of the family, but even then, the term isn't exactly correct as out of all the members, she is just self controlled and less prone to showing her emotions. She does love them dearly, and they do know that she cares for them, despite her cool appearance. Her father and mother are both in the military, whilst her older sister is a government official.

History:
Anarchia was born into wealth. Her parents, Isaac and Eleanor Vexperia - Sevensheep, were both successful military leaders as well as inheriting the wealth accumulated from their ancestors. With her three other siblings. Her parents didn't push her into the military. However, her sister had aspirations to be a governmental worker and she excelled in her academics. Determined not to fall behind, Anarchia aimed for the military rather than forever being shadowed by her sister. Seeing their daughter determined to go through with the family business, Eleanor grounded her daughter through intense training. She deemed Isaac to be much too soft and instead, took it into her own hands.

WHile the strict lessons helped, Anarchia's own personality and determination was what made her successful. Even through
compulsory education and into OCS, her confidence, determination and her talent meant that she excelled from the common rabble. Even if she lacked her bloodline, Anarchia would have been popular due to her charisma. However, with her bloodline, the kiss ass and suck ups were endless, which Anarchia was not fooled by. Living with the rule of survival of the fittest, Anarchia could tell who were truly loyal and who had true strength and ability.

Plowing on with her own strength, Anarchia refused easy promotion unless she earned it. Her starting rank was 2nd lieutenant when she graduated and true to her expectation, she hit Captain within 3 years at 19 years of age. By then, she had gone through several campaigns across the globe, ranging from Israel/Lebanon, Sudan to Afghanistan. Her latest deployment was near the Russian Federation in December. The Latvian government had requested for assistance from Germany. Reports indicated an increase of raids from across the Russian borders, most likely as a result of the apocalypse predicted by the Mayans. Anarchia was not one to care for such stories. If it was true, then there was nothing she could do about it. Her regiment went over and assisted in peace keeping against raids from civilians in conjunction with the Russian and Latvian military.

During a routine patrol, Anarchia, sitting in one of the AGF Serval Jeeps when Anarchia felt a sharp pain in her head. As of late, these had been becoming more and more frequent. Shaking it off, she continued to stare out of the window when a pair of RPG flew out from the forest. One smacked straight into the Jeep, killing the driver and passenger up front. By the time she managed to crawl out of the car, the convoy had been hit hard. IED's has been placed along the roads and have taken out two of the five cars with a third being cut down by gunfire. The German troops were being overwhelmed by these rogue Russian civilians, but were holding on. Anarchia's jeep was away from the small circle of vehicles that the back three jeeps made. With precision, professional fire, they held back the attack, but several of these attackers came down to quickly scavenge.

Her G36 was mangled in the car, but her hands wandered down to her luger and as the first of the three popped around the corner, she double tapped him, once in the chest and once in the head. His friend rounded the corner as well and received three rounds to the chest when the last managed to knock her hand aside as his buddy's body covered her shot. The man mounted Anarchia and began wailing on her, landing blows to her face. As she tried to reacquire her aim, the man stomped on her hand, forcing the captain to drop her pistol, but it gave her room to kick push him off of her. Angered at her resistance, he pulled a mangled metal rod from the wreck and began advancing on her. In her current state, Anarchia doubted that she could fend off the man. Sweeping her hand desperately, she grabbed a large screw and using all her might and power, hurled it at him. She didnt expect it to do much, but to her shock, the small metal shot through the air like a bullet and punctured through his shoulder. Now enraged, the man launched himself at her and swung the rod down, only to have all momentum halted just before Anarchia's outstretched hands. Having no idea what was happening, Anarchia took advantage of the shock and pulled her Tatang out and slashed right across his throat. Now dead, Anarchia could hear her men calling out that the enemy was running and calling for other patrols to intercept.

With her injuries, Anarchia was taken back to base for examination. The doctors were surprised that she was as close to coming out of that attack unscathed. She knew this was impossible as even her encounter with that man was pretty damaging. Reporting her now more frequent headaches, the doctor, as a precaution, recommended that she go back to Germany for lighter duty, which she accepted. During that month, she returned and interestingly enough, experimented with the phenomenon. At the beginning, certain circumstances allowed her to launch objects at blitzing speed with destructive results, particularly when she willed for it to go as fast as possible. With Iglesias, Anarchia began to fine tune her "powers" even more, although the headaches remained and disorientation occurs when she uses her powers too much. When January came around, Anarchia and Iglesias redeployed to America for some relations exchange. Her curiosity in how she acquired this ability and where it came from occupied a great deal of her time. While still experimenting with it, her thoughts wandered on how it came to her.

Style:
Well-covered up and professional. Miranda hates to wear anything that bares her skin due to her self-consciousness as a result of the scars. However, she is more likely to explain her choice of dressing to be a choice professional wear meant to hide her USP (pistols) - which is also an honest explanation. Although she rarely deviates from the usual, sleeved jacket and sport trousers, she expresses herself in the designs on these articles.

Attire:
As pictured, Miranda is often seen in a jacket with a pair of sports trousers. Unlike the picture though, her sport shoes are almost always black, or at least something close to that. When on a hunt for a Holder or on a 'job' she will always wear something that matches the time of the day, brighter colors for day and darker colors for night.

Special Talents/Abilites:
Her acting skills. Although not a top notch display, it's good enough to trick most people.

Weapons:
USP Elite

Bought off her room mate, 'Muscle' and loaded with 9mm Parabellum rounds. She also keeps three spare magazine with her as a backup - usually stuffed in her jacket's right inner pockets. Miranda also has a silencer that she purchased stuffed in the same pocket with the gun.

Folding Knife

Her backup plan for the situations where she run out of ammunition and can't procure any spare rounds from the area - especially in fights against Holders. Or maybe against the average thief. Or just the unknowing target that still has his back turned.

Anti-Holder Weapon

On the surface it appears to be an innocuous looking flash light. Well, it is a flash light, however, it is also able to produce a ball of electricity that can be tossed at an enemy Holder. The button to activate the anti-holder functions is at the bottom of the weapon. It is barely noticeable and small enough that only a finger nail can reach into the slit that reveals the button.

When activated, the normal button produces a visible ball of electricity that is tossed by swinging in a general direction. However, when the ball launches form the weapon depends on the strength of the swing, making this weapon very difficult to use for someone without prior experience.

The balls of electricity are generated instantaneously, but there has to be at least a five seconds interval before Miranda is able to launch another consecutive ball. The electricity generated are only able to stun a person briefly for at most three seconds. This weapon has an effective range of 10m.

Strengths:
Skill and experience in real combat situations. Miranda has participated in enough combat situations that she can be safely considered a veteran. Combining her finesse as well as her knowledge of close combat, she makes for a fierce opponent.

Weaknesses:
Much of her strategy relies on tools that require ammunition. When out of ammunition for her pistol and batteries for her anti-holder weapon, she will have to resort to close combat with her knife against an opponent that may be able to take her on from far.

Vitality :
Miranda has developed enough endurance to sustain at least 5 well-placed punches without falling.

Speed :
Due to the load she carries she cannot run particularly fast. Or rather, she can, but she would rather not in order to conserve energy and also for the purpose of caution.

Stamina :
Considering her well-trained body, she is able to sustain a decent jogging speed for 15 minutes. She cannot sustain a running speed for anything more than 7 minutes, however, due to the weight she carries with her.

Reflexes :
Combat experience has improved her reflexes enough to react quicker to her environment. However, her accuracy is almost always dramatically lowered, so she tries to hold back on her immediate reflex for the most part. Dodging, however, is not a major problem. She can easily evade many physical blows provided she can see it coming.

E.G. She enters a room with a gunman and his hostage. This situation is unexpected and she draws her gun on them and fires a few times. The bullets hit both the gunman and the hostage.

Fighting Style :
Close and personal. Although armed with a pistol, Miranda prefers to stay close to her target in case she runs out of ammunition. It also allows for opportunities to simply use her knife to finish off her opponents - thus sparing the ammunition that would have been wasted. Against Holders, she may prefer to put some distance in order to avoid their powers.

Relationship History:
Miranda's life is a series of short-term relationships developed for the sake of it. Her shortest relationship was with a boy whose name she has since forgotten. After a one night stand, and Miranda feigning pregnancy to get rid of him, the boy disappeared from her life and never was seen again. Her longest relationship was with lesbian, who after two months, realize her long strings of ex-boyfriends and girlfriends and broke up with her.

There is barely any love between the members of the family. Asked to think about her family, Miranda will barely show any signs of concern other than a sarcastic comment about how she loves her father and hopes he continues enjoying himself till he dies. She cares little about her mother who spends most of her time cleaning the house and not speaking to anyone except to her husband who is always drunk when he returns.

Her sister, perhaps the only one who speaks with her, makes it her personal past time to annoy Miranda and demand her fullest attention. Failure to pay her heed results in her screaming and crying and parental intervention, which means caning for Miranda.

History:
The family was normal when Miranda was born. Her father worked at a company for a decent pay while her mother could afford to be a housewife and take care of Miranda. Their extended family treated them kindly as well. This all changed at the age of 9 when her father lost her job. The extended family shied away from them. The father took to drinking and wife-beating. Initially, he beat Miranda as well, but social workers found something fishy and he had to stop for a while to ward them off. It was around this time that Josephine was born.

Her life of misery continues as Miranda struggled to find ways to please her parents, to gain their affection. She did well in school, she excelled in sports. None of it mattered. So she took to delinquency. It was overt at first, but it didn't work and the school reported the case to her parents. They punished her severely and since then, Miranda decided to be much more subtle.

On finishing her 'O' level examinations, she began a series of part time jobs to pay for private education overseas. She was 16 at the time, and came to be introduced to a Seeker. The Seeker, who was also a criminal passing through the country, took her along, even helping to arrange a fake passport as she was brought to New Bedford and trained to become a Seeker as well.

Since then, she has took on some missions to hunt Holders and have earned experience in personally murdering these said people. During the role play, she has left her mentor Seeker to live with 'Muscle' for a few months already. She's now in to hunting Holders for the powers she can attain.
