This thread is to give the Site Owner and Tech Admins a chance to answer any questions you might have in regards to the new features. Instead of creating multiple threads let's try to make a Q&A for this so we don't readdress the same feature twice.

A lot of questions have been asked about this, and although they are not a new feature, we wanted to address this.

Currently the only workable skin right now is default. If you wish to use the others, we can not promise them to be 100% compatible with 3.8. If LG or the tech admins would like to add more to this, that's cool.

Proposed new date for next new skin: Mid - June - Mercurial

will the TT section of the forum be getting sorted so we can actually play Triple triad, or is it going to remain redundant ??
 
Will our customizable post font colors be coming back? Because I can't fix mine.
 
Can we bring back private chat rooms in the SB? I rather liked that. Though, I can see why it was disabled. Isn't there some way you could better moderate it besides getting rid of it all together?

This is more just a casual pondering and isn't really worth anything if we get it or not, but will we be getting the option in our UCP to customize our postbits, and later, profiles?
 
how will tagging work????? been wondering this ever since the update :D
 
I've noticed that myself, i think they added your rep to your EXP or something..

What's happening with the vBshop? will regular users be able to buy account perks/upgrades?
 
Just a short little post on having a private tabbed conversation in the SB. Personally, I see nothing wrong with it as long as it isn't abused to fuck and back. There are times when I personally would like to round up a group of friends for a private chat when the SB gets too hectic. I noticed (can't remember who) mentioned that staff would be getting one, but otherwise, the feature would remained disabled, and us normies wouldn't be able to make our own.

Double standards, just sayin'.

Yeah I noticed that myself. I jumped up like 22 levels when I refreshed my page. I did get repped so I guess that affected it. :hmmm: What is the Vb shop used for?

it's used to buy stuff like Glowing usernames, username changes, ban removal ect. basically stuff to make you pretty XD
 
I'm still calling double standards. They didn't need it before, they most certainly don't need it now. :ahmed:

Anyway, just to add on to Adri's question, what is the VBstore? What kind of things can we expect to buy from there? Also, what would the currency be, the VBpoints that we have?

What if Galaxyflare starts selling his body for points? He's been known to do that from time to time. :wacky:

EDIT: I vote for infraction removal points. (Yes, I realize this will never happen.) Just sayin', not like I have infraction points that I want to get rid of or anything... :ahmed:
 
Wouldn't it be more efficient to just get on MSN, that way you can have the SB open, and the MSN window open at the same time, and effectively keep an eye on both, instead of switching back and forth through two tabs? I'm really not seeing a need for it, and like you said, it may put a strain on the system. Why risk it at all?

Also, the things that could be on sale in the shop sound interesting. Thanks for answering. :grin:
 
I think ACF had something similar where you could buy "plushies" that would go on your profile if you bought them? Staff member plushies, FF Character plushies, Notable member plushies... etc. That might be funky.

Although, we'd probably have to get someone to design them? :hmmm:
 
I suppose with number 3 that wouldn't be a problem. However, with number 1, if it wouldn't increase the load at all, why couldn't users, staff and non-staff included, make their own?

Or, would tabs be working completely differently than how they worked before they were deactivated?

Though, I think something along those lines would require real money. :hmmm:
