A new morning in a New Year began as the world of Agia awakens from yet another slumber. All citizens of the world began their day in a great leisurely manner unsuspecting that someone somewhere was planning something destructive. That someone was a particularly nasty piece of work who now strode through a small town named Cia. This person was a male elf named Orine, Malhide and his intentions were of no good.
Robed in a green cloak with his blonde hair seeming to flow endlessly behind him, Orine headed towards the Mana Tree, which stood even closer than he had imagined. The tree stood miles high and shaded the small town from the harsh beating of the sun. The small town had also been nestled within the giant tree’s roots, making it the biggest known mana exposed town and the central place for mana practice of the element of earth. After a brief moment of taking in the sight Orine concentrated upon his objective. He scanned the central roadway of the village until he spotted a short, pudgy looking man with a large mustache.
Orine had finally got to meet with the tour guide he was looking for who was a native of the town. Walking up to the man, both had paused and gazed into each other's eyes. The short man had eyes of blue and looked uneasily at the giant elf stranger who stood before him, as if expecting something. Orine gazed down upon the short man eyeing him for five minutes before finally speaking in a calm tone. “Are you going to watch me all day you filthy human or are you going to show me to the tree?” he spoke. “Not only are you stupid, your hideous face-rat disgusts me…”
“Oh!” replied the short tour guide, stroking his mustache out of shame. “T-this way sir! We don’t get many tourists like you around these par-“
“More walking less talking.” Snapped Orin.
The short man close his mouth immediately and surveyed this demanding customer. Orin pulled out a closed black sack and held it up by it's string which held it closed. “If you can get me to the tree’s mana site in less than 30 minutes I’ll pay greatly as a reward.” Said Orin grinning maniacally as the many coins within clapped together.
“Right this way!” the short man gasped as he hurried Orin over to a pathway leading directly towards the mana tree and away from the village. The path was a short ways away from the village, but it had led towards a cliff, where the thick godly trunk of the tree could be seen while it's roots littered the deep crater in which it sat. The tree was at least three miles tall.
"Onto this rock." The short mustached man spoke pointing to a flat rock that looked like a rug carpet carved from the earth.
This time Orine obeyed and patiently waited as the short man had begun to spin his hands in a circle. The feeling of an invisible energy had come in a wave, rushing over them both as the small man waved his hands round and round. Orine grunted in disgust. He had never once been able to use the gift of mana energy. The square shape of land had begun to rise rapidly from the ground, growing larger and bringing the two upward north until finally they had traveled a mile and a half north and a ledge seeming to have been mana made from the bark and branches of the mana tree itself.
Orine rushed off the platform and onto the ledge, following it into the dark entrance which lead into the tree's trunk. He walked fast, fast enough to make the small tour guide run full speed from behind him in order to catch up. The guide caught up a while later and led Orine through the path leading deeper inside the tree’s core. The tree road inside had been hollowed out and lit with fire torches that casts violent shadows on the many small exhibits and reading within “But sir, don’t you want to look at the exhibits?” asked the tour guide as the elf traveled forward without even a glance .
“I'm looking for the tree’s core I have never seen the sight before…” said Orine motioning forward. "With haste! With haste! There’s no time to waste!”
Orine walked on towards the path to the core of the mana tree. He could see the blue glow coming from further inside the trunk and ran ahead of the confused tour guide. “Why must I always get stuck with the weird customers?” muttered the guide under his breath as he ran after Orine.
There it was, the core hollow of the Mana Tree. The elf had traveled for five days to get to this point. He pressed his face against the glass of a separating pane to look out into the center of the mana tree where blue strands of raw magic power floated, stirring, colliding, and splitting. He had found the source of all magic. Now he could resurrect the one who had made the world quiver in fear. “Um, sir? You’re not supposed to lean on the glass. It might bre-“started the guide.
Orine had already struck the glass with a sword he had kept concealed under his green cloak. He jabbed at the large glass pane separating him from the tunnel of blue flowing mana until it finally shattered. Wind seemed to be trying to suck Orine inside of the tree trunk, but the Elf held his footing. “Heeheehee!” went Orine’s chuckle as a smile began to slide across his face.
He gazed toward the short tour guide and dropped the black sack into the tree’s hollow center filled with mana and reached his arm inside the stream of mana strands floating up and down with his sword in hand. His sword began to crystallize before his eyes. The tour guide watched in horror as Orin pulled out the emerald crystalline blade. With a quick slash, the short man was cut down, dead before his soul could realize it. “Little filthy human likes to complain. Now go tell the gods of your shame!” chuckled Orin as he happily chuckled and jogged out of the Mana Tree as fast as he could.
The contents of the black sack had gone off in an explosion once it had fallen deep deep down inside of the mana tree. The ground began to rumble. All around the earth began to shake. There were no bounds or limit's to it's vibration, for a violent earthquake ravaged the world of Agia upon the beginning of it's 1000th year of peace.

-react to the quake that has just occurred.(Buildings and npcs may take damage)
I've set up an events system so that everything will hopefully run smoothly. It's consisted of different types of events that are color coded.
