Agia Report Log

The Agia Report log serves to easily store all of the Agia reports unlocked as the Evanescent Fairytale story is progressed. Each log will consist of an article relating to the story of the world of Agia and contain random facts about the world. Each report either progresses along with the story or can be found out through sidequests, or after defeating an enemy in battle. While it is not necessary to read the Agia reports in order to understand and interact with the RP it is more of a nice sidestory filled with facts to help participants familiarize themselves with the RP world. Certain characters can choose to participate in sidequests and will gain the advantage of having certain knowledge for their characters to know. Their character's findings will still be recorded in the log for all to see, but will remain exclusive for their characters to know unless their characters share their findings or otherwise.

Information for the Agia Report log can be obtained through bars, events, and interacting with NPCs on the regular. Agia is filled with NPC characters of every race and size. You never know what person might posses knowledge that could potentially help bring down a powerful foe!

1.) Welcome To Agia

The world of Agia has been in peace for almost 1000 whole years! Its inhabitants are just as lively and busy as ever! But recently there has been an accident in the Elven village of Lael forest. Word has it that the village of the Elves were attacked by something or someone. In other news a festival at Siard Castle is to be underway. The festival is not only in celebration of 100 years of peace but it is also a fair to show off something King Henry has planned. Be sure to celebrate with us on this joyous 1000th year of peace!

Map and Locations

Map Image

Agia.png

Locations

Northern Continent

West

Diamond City - Very commercial city with lots of shopping and gambling. It is composed of three cities in one. The first city is known as the slums where many thugs like to hang out. Being caught here at night is a bad idea and the Inn will most likely give you a low price for a very sweet deal. The second city is known as the high class place. Many big houses and rich Royalties reside here. It is also very expensive to shop, but holds very fine quality supplies.

Port Town Rais - A town known for it's fishing. It's one of the two only towns that transport citizens to other continents. The route of it's boats travel all around the world from Ale to the Southern continent, all the way to Unknown lands!

Sarra - A kingdom of the desert. It's people have built many caves and caverns under the castle desert. It's said that one of the tunnels lead all the way to the other side of the Ariana Range mountains.

Lael - The forest where many elves used to reside. This forest is small but full of deadly beasts.

Ale village - A village that lies on the small island at the southwest part of the northern continent. They have boats that carries passangers to other continents as well.

East

Oevale city - A city surrounded by forests. It is a town where technology is formed and traded around the country. Many laboratories and libraries reside here.

Siard - A castle of one of the most booming kingdoms of Agia. It's army is very well matched against any. It is said to be working on a new kind of technology.

Siard(North) - The northern town of Siard. This is where alot of residences for citizens are set up. Siard is packed with many happy, accepting homes.

Siard(South) - The commercial town of Siard where all things mana are bought, sold and traded. It is a bustling town full of technology and weaponry.

Cia - A town that has existed near the Mana tree for centuries. This town is where many have tried to learn the art form of controlling Mana into powers. Mana is usually cultivated here for research.

Kell - A town near the mountains. It is normally where to go to rest before traveling through the deadly mountain range. It's town is small and blanketed with snow.

Southern Continent

Daemon - A village that is set between the mountains where dragons are said to be seen. Daemon sells rare artifacts made of peculiar items. Many of its's inhabitants are merchants looking for rare dragon supplies which can be sold at a high price.

Draguuna - A town where dragoons are born. It's located near mountains where dragons are often spotted. The town is small and quaint.

Seiers - A location that is known to sell vehicles of all kinds. This is actually the gigantic factory of a famous lab technician and his team of experts. All people live and work there, selling their creations for vast amounts of money.

Other Locations

Levert - A series of 4 floating mountains in the east. Only few are able to reach their height. It is seen as a great spot to "settle down" and most who go there rarely return to the "lowlands".

Unknown lands - A place where greenery flourishes and danger lurks. Few who have ventured here ever returns...It is the huge threat of danger here that has made it unable to become explored by others.

Event System

The event system used for this roleplay will be a convenient list of events with strips of information trailing along in my posts as a director. Events allow for the story of Evanescent Fairytale to progress forward with ease by giving the RP's participants a goal and choices and freedom on how to achieve that goal. The Event System is also color coded, the colors all representing a way for characters to react to what is currently going on around them.

The layout of the Event System is like so:

~~~Event~~~
Title Of Event [Participant#1][Participant#2][Participant#3]
- Description of Event goes here. Descriptions are often brief and to the point. (ending tagline)
Title of the Event: A short title gives a small taste of the overall event/mission.
Participants: The characters presented/involved with the event.
Description: Tells what the mission is going to be about. Often involves possible actions/choices to make.
Tagline: Often describes whether a summon can be used at the time, or if there is another special condition for an event.
Color coded events are like so:
~~~Event~~~

Break Down the door!(mandatory) [Joe][Karen][Melissa]
- The door has been frozen shut! Find a way to break it down quickly. (Open Summon)

Break Down the door!(choice reaction) [Joe][Karen][Melissa]
- The door is keeping a ferocious beast behind it. If let out it will terrorize the village, if kept in you will not get the treasure inside. Which way shall you choose?(NPCs can die)

Break Down the door!(side quest) [Joe][Karen][Melissa]
- An ancient door seals away a mysterious power. Do you dare break it down? (Open Summon)

Red colored events are mandatory for your character to react to. There is no escaping this for the select participants. Orange colored events are labeled choice reaction, giving your character a free choice of actions to respond to the event, along with consequences. Finally events labeled "sidequest" in yellow are completely optional quests/events a character can participate in. These sorts of quests often gain rewards or knowledge in return.

Your Guardian and You

Guardians are the beings who watch over the world of Agia through temples. They lend their powers to only the chosen heroes destined to rid the world of darkness.

Basic Rules of Guardian Use

- Can only be summoned 2 times per battle.
- Can only use a total of 1 skill per summon.
- Must be reserved before it can be earned.
- Gains growth through participating in boss battles.
- Must be defeated in battle before it can be obtained.

How to Obtain and Use a Guardian

Obtaining a Guardian summon is not an easy task. If chosen to bear the power of a Guardian a hero must decide which guardian of which element and skills they wish to claim for themselves to go after. There can only be one user per guardian and nobody can possess two guardians at a time. Once a guardian is reserved AND the hero has been chosen to be a "hero", any hero characters may begin their search for the temples of the guardians.

Once a hero arrives at a temple they must undergo a test of survival. A guardian will decide to battle any coming hero(and their party of 3 others) who desires to obtain their trust. This will take place in an RPB like manner and will have turns. The guardians will fight in pairs or separately depending on the situation at hand. Some guardians will choose to protect each other in battle from time to time. Others will not. If the heroes manage to survive the battle after a short amount of time, the summoned creature will grant their trust to the one they have chosen(whoever reserved them) and give that hero a pendant from which to call them if need be.

Guardian Growth Levels

Guardian growth levels are points that help a hero's guardian grow stronger in power. A guardian's access to abilities rely heavily on the amount of experience and growth they acquire. Growth level points can ONLY be acquired in what can be called a "Boss Battle". These types of battles will be marked in events and focus on creatures that are not ordinary enemies that roam the earth. Battles with other guardians also give growth points to already obtained guardians.

When first captured, each guardian's growth level will be set up to 1 point. From then on any boss battles the guardian participates in will give the guardian a skill point at the END of the battle. If a person shall lose their current boss battle their guardians will still receive a growth point if they have participated. Once a guardian's points are at max level, they will not gain any more points from boss fights and will be at their full strength.

Guardians in battle

A guardian can only be summoned twice in battle. During the turn that they are summon guardians will appear and will be given a skill to perform by their master/summoner. Once the skill is performed the guardian will return back to the plane of the ethereal. Since a guardian can be summoned only twice per battle, and may only use a total of 2 active skills during an entire battle, participants must choose very wisely about what time and what skills they want their guardians to use. Summoning a guardian at the wrong time can render a character useless if their enemy gains an upper hand later in battle. Timing and quick decision making is key to a successful victory.

Note that guardians will not be allowed to wield human weapons, etc. A guardian is however, allowed to communicate with their human through telepathy, giving advice throughout a battle. The telepathy can only work in dire situations outside of battle or in any general battle.

Free Training/Passive Skills

Free training skills are skills that can be created by the summoner of the guardian. A skill such as this must be written up and PMed to me for review before it can go on the summon's official bio. as a move. Almost every summon has a free training move meant to be the summon's "ultimate attack". Outrageous and overpowered abilities will not go here but if an ability is fairly strong and reasonable, it can be put up. The free training ability can be changed up to three times max. This is due to the fact that I personally will not feel like constantly editing the guardian thread much more than I need to. Feel free to add details of what the guardian looks like while performing the ability, etc, etc.

Passive abilities that activate automatically. The free training ones will be heavily watched. The passive abilities only activate as soon as a guardian is summoned and will remain activated until the battle is over.

Rules and Regulations

Not only will the terms of the general rules of the forum apply to the role play but I will add some input as well to modify. Please make sure to read these rules before you begin this RP.

1.) Do not God-moderate:
God-moderation (god-modding for short) is when you are limiting your opponents’ reactions to the point where you are depriving them of an open post. This can be done in several ways, the most notorious of which is actually controlling the opponent in your post. For example:

Quote:

This, on the surface, doesn’t seem bad at all. However, you will notice that Julius specifically stated what Hera's attack did, even though Hera did not give him express permission to send Jake’s sword into the earth. By stating what Jake did in a time where Hera could have had the reflexes to change the outcome of the swing, Julius God-modded. This is expressly forbidden in ORPGs and URPGs. Prosecutors may be addressed by the Role-Play Master of the game (i.e. the creator of the RP or whomever has been designated the leader of the RP by the creator) and asked to stop. If it continues, the Role-Play Master reserves the right to remove the offending member from the RP. A Moderator or Administrator also reserves these rights.

An example of a good post would be the following (excepting length):

Quote:

Here, Julius left the results of his block up to Hera, while he moved away and continued his attack.
Please take note of this. The last thing I will deal with is a Gmod type of deal going on here. Offenders will of course be warned at first, but if the problem persists then Rping here for that person shall be halted so that the problem can be further looked into before major decisions get made.

2.) Do not Power-play:
Power-playing is using or having abilities that are absurdly strong or uncharacteristically powerful of your character. An example is having a character that is particularly accomplished in archery, and yet horrendous in melee combat, and then having them fight like an accomplished veteran in melee. Things like the ability to reflect spells, consistent and unfair dodging of attacks, and unavoidable attacks are included both here and god-modding. Similarly to God-Modding, the RP Master reserves the right to ask you to shape up, and to leave, should this problem persist. This right is also reserved by the RP Moderators and Administrators.
We had a problem of this within the last Evanescent Fairytale. I assure you that being overly strong(throwing trees, blasting a billions soldiers at once, crushing buildings with a mighty tiptoe, etc) for characters is totally out of the question. Also this Rp is trying to create a bit of realism when it comes to hitting and getting hit. Not everyone has ultra high stamina and can dodge everything going their way.

3.) Do not spam or flame:
RPs are meant to have in-depth and involved posts. One-liners will be acknowledged by the RP Master and, should the issue persist or not, the offending posts will be deleted by a Moderator or Administrator. Flaming is absolutely NOT tolerated, and prosecutors will be dealt with at the Moderator’s discretion.
This should be common sense. Please do not insult another, yadda yadda.

4.) Keep Out-of-Character content to a minimum:
While it is acceptable to post Out-of-character content (OOC for short, this is basically when YOU are talking to members instead of the character) in an RP, this should be kept at a minimum and not interfere with the RP Post itself. Any large OOC comments should be placed in the RP’s corresponding discussion thread, as outlined by the RP Master. If this issue persists, the RP Master reserves the right to ask you to leave. If the RP Master wishes, the offender may be warned for spam.
Yes. Gladly I know that nobody on this forum will confuse an RP thread with it's discussion thread.

5.) All post must have a minimum of 7 sentences. That's only asking for a paragraph and a few more sentences. Cant find anything to write about?-Well, describe the scenery. It isn't that hard.

6.) All participants must be an active member of the forums and active rper to participate in this RP. I cannot take chances on people who promise to post and then disappear for months at a time. During my days of rping I've tried cutting off so much slack for these kinds of people. For this Rp i am not taking such chances, as uninterested roleplayers are the leading causes of RP deaths here on FFF :hmmm:. I know that when I join an Rp I'm looking to finish it through to the end. I only need people who can think the same way here. This rule is not excluded from friends, mods, the like and will be taken VERY seriously. If you are active on the forum and wish to finish an RP to the end, then by all means sign up!

7.) If you can't post in past tense don't bother joining. This rp will use past tense when describing a character and their actions, not to mention the popularity of using past tense in Rps nowadays. If someone is unsure if they can achieve such then there is no point in participating here, as it will interrupt the flow and story like quality of the role play.

8.) If for some reason a person cannot post in the RP due to RL events they must at least make it known in the discussion thread so that others may not be halted. They can feel free to rejoin at a later time if they desire.

If for some reason you have a question or concern about the rules, feel free to Pm me directly so we can speak about it.

Party Inventory

This post is for all of the extra Items that the Main Heroes have been awarded with or picked up. They do not include the weapons and armor of what the Heroes are equipped with by default. The items include descriptions of what they can do.

Artifacts - These can be obtained by doing side quests. They open the gateway to Secret Guardians who are scattered all throughout Agia. Secret Guardians are different from regular guardians and work differently.

Maps - Maps often lead to powerful enemies and treasure. There is many treasures lying await in Agia which can give their user's godlike abilities. Before the users can posses them they must first face a deadly battle!

None have surpassed it's test to be it's master. [Can only be accessed by Dea Nyx Noctis Umbra and Lenont Ienten]
