Twentieth century archaeology uncovered a literary gold mine from the past when they excavated the massive library of clay tablets stored in the area that was once known as Sumeria in our current Middle East.

Thousands of records written in cuneiform, possibly the first written human language, divulged a great storehouse of information, including much that on first look conflicted greatly with our understanding of our planet's past and our rise to dominance of the planet.

These records describe to gravitational capture of a rogue planet that had been traveling the depths of interstellar space for unknown eons. This planet, called Nibiru, turned out to be much more than a mere wayward rock. According to the Sumerian texts, this planet was inhabited by a race of virtually immortal beings that the Sumerians considered to be their gods. This intrusion was so far back in our solar system's history that planet Earth was said to be formed from the collision of two planetary bodies being knocked together by the gravitational disruption Nibiru caused by passing within the inner part of the system.

Whether due to the long voyage between the stars or because of damage to Nibiru during it's gravitational capture, its inhabitants needed the raw materials to fix the damage and maintain the internal heat of this "radiant" planet. As time passed they colonized the earth and began mining operations. While they took many materials, it was gold they most fervently sought for its electrical properties to heal the wounds in Nibiru's atmosphere.

Using the astronomical data about Nibiru that was presented in the Sumerian texts, astronomers used the "Infrared Astronomical Satellite" to scan the far reaches of our system to see if they could locate what was causing the wobble in the orbits of the outer planets. In the 1983-84 observations from this satellite’s data was discovered a planetary body immersed in to Oort cloud of debris on the edges of our star system. This planetary body fit the descriptions of a retrograde orbit that did not lie along the plane of the elliptic and was roughly where projected orbital calculations would put Nibiru at this time in history. While this discovery made news at first, it quickly became a buried subject that no one seemed to want to discuss.

Had they realized they had discovered the home planet of the ancient aliens that walked our Earth long before we even existed?

DISCUSS! I'll post more things later on when I get home...
Maybe some videos here and there.

Wether you believe it or not its freeking fascinating.

I don't know much about the Nibiru Collision theories, or any theories about Nibiru, but it seems to me like another group of people letting their minds run wild based on an interpretation of a text which isn't fully understood yet.

The reason it probably hasn't been discussed soon after the initial proposal is because academics would probably be mocked and discredited for even engaging in that line of thought.

People love to project sci-fi and otherworldliness into our ancient past, possibly because they can't understand how ancient civilisations seemed to know so much so early on, and also because of their fascination with astronomy (and the different mythical stories surrounding the different constellations and planets).

There are some people who claimed that the Egyptians knew about UFOs, as there are hieroglyphs at Abydos which are slightly eroded. The hieroglyphs look like a helicopter, a submarine and a UFO, but they are not. There were earlier hieroglyphs in the same spot which have become visible again, and the combined hieroglyphs look like these things. I'm not sure even how true this is. I've only heard of it through the internet, and the pictures look photoshopped to me. I've been meaning to look it up properly, but I doubt many academics have really felt the need to write anything about it, and if they'd risk ridicule for even needing to bring the topic up with the intention of discrediting the UFO theories.

There's a lot of stuff out there about the pharaoh Akhenaten too. Some people believe that he was an alien. Akhenaten deviated from the conventions of Egyptian art and depicted himself with a strange elongated face (when compared to the standardised pharaoh face and pose, which was ordinarily used for statues and reliefs) and a bit of a belly. He also depicted himself playing with his children, who had very long skulls.

It's easy from this to see why some people would say that they were aliens.

That and the shift of religion has led some people to fantasise that aliens had landed in Egypt in that period. Or that aliens had been there much earlier too and built the pyramids.

I guess people like to try and explain things in this way because it is interesting and would make a good sci-fi premise, or because it already has made a good sci-fi premise. We follow the tradition of naming planets, galaxies, constellations and any heavenly bodies after gods and mythological figures, and a lot (and I mean A LOT) of science fiction has an ancient feel to it... Imagine a classical Athens where everyone had phasers, or imagine a Babylon ruled by red-skinned aliens in black leather suits, and that would be the general feel of some planets depicted in sci-fi. Even sci-fi with a modern theme tends to have some sort of mythology behind it. Perhaps a mythological name for a starship, or perhaps they just live somewhere on the belt of Orion, etc.

An interesting addition to this is the interpretation of living statues in mythology as being robots. Since some of these were built by Hephaestus out of metal, and some were described as having blood flowing through them (which some people would say is more like oil or something), you can see why people make the robots comment. In Greek myth we have figures like the bronze colossus Talos, warder of Crete. We also have Hephaestus' animated tripods and waiting-women made of gold. There is also the statue carved by Pygmalion who was brought to life by Aphrodite, and Pygmalion married his animated statue.

What it really shows is the age of the idea of bringing something lifeless and without soul, yet looking so human, to life. We tend to deal with this theme today with the theme of robots, but back then it was statues.

This robotic tangent was really just because it was vaguely relevant in highlighting the ways people can interpret the ancient past by projecting popular sci-fi into it. Really, it is because ancients were so fascinated by the stars and placed gods into the heavens that we today do the same, and it is because of this that a lot of places in space take classical names, and this in turn probably inspires people to depict alien worlds as ancient-like but advanced, often taking names of real Earth deities and heroes (though sometimes deliberately misspelling them to sort of suggest "ha ha! So it was Zooz, the cosmic overlord of the Medusa Nebula, who was the inspiration for Zeus on Earth when he visited the planet on his spaceship O'Lim-PU5!".

People often like to look for Ancient Alien theories to explain the astronomical observance of apparently ‘primitive’ cultures, and to explain apparent references to modern machines or machines which are still yet to be perfected today. To me, it just shows that mankind has always had a fascinating imagination, and long may it continue.

I am sorry for the late reply.

I understand what you are trying to say. Humankind have always had a huge imagination like Da Vinci when he wanted to fly etc.
Always dreaming about surreal things.

But what if? what if these theories really happened. Its that question that needs to be answered.

- Ancient Semurians talked about beings from the sky
- Mayans talked about people from the sky
- Most religious books and texts have mentioning of beings from the sky
- Star people
- How were the pyramids build?
- Pyramid in Bosnia = emmitting a signal
- Nazca lines are drawings of animals which you can only see from the sky
- Also at the nazca desert surrounding the nazca lines, certain mountain tops are cut off clean and the residu is not around

LOL there is even a type of STARGATE somewhere in mexico :lew:

I never believed in aliens persé...I always believed they are there somewhere, but never around earth. I have always been fascinated about the Galaxy more. The real stuff. You know stars, planets and universe phenomenons.

But a friend of mine told me to check out this DOCUmentary Ancient Aliens and I was hooked ever since.

In this series scientists discuss several oddities from the past and the remains of those oddities. I am telling you its freeking interesting wether you believe it or not..

If you have the time check it out once.

My favo's :

MYSTERIOUS PLACES ON EARTH

GODS AND ALIENS

Chariots, Gods and Beyond

Cant find one about certain strange buildings, but that one was really interesting..
Anyways hope you check them out. If not ty for the time and effort for your opinion.
