Cloud Strife

The main character in Final Fantasy VII. Originally a member of Soldier, he is now a mercenary who will take any job. After being hired by Avalanche, he gradually gets caught up in a massive struggle for the life of the planet. His enormous sword can cut almost anything in two.

Cloud Strife Remake

An ex-SOLDIER: first class, Cloud came to Midgar to start a new chapter of his life as a mercenary. At the invitation of his childhood friend, Tifa, he accepted a job with AVALANCHE. He may bring his buster sword to bear against SHINRA troopers, but he does not care for plight of the planet. For him, this is a job and nothing more.

So, guys... What makes you a Cloti?

Oh man... Where to even start? I'm gonna start all over with my story...

Cloud and Tifa were my first ever pairing to completely fall in love with at the age of 8. It was new for me. Definitely. I was 8, I wanted to know nothing about love, but as soon as I knew my mom was playing Final Fantasy, I'd be hooked in the chair in our living room, watching her playthrough. From the start, Tifa's personality and character clicked with me. I loved her, and I was super psyched that she was the Main character's childhood friend. ♥

When my mom finished Final Fantasy VII for the first time, I bawled my eyes out at the end, I actually cried hysterically to see Cloud save Tifa once again, never letting her down, and the cute cuddle before he brings her up to safety. It made my heart puddly.

Tifa and Cloud have been my favourite pairing for as long as I can remember, seeing I am 21 now and still love them more than anything. They're realistc, they're comforting in their own ways, they're the most gorgeous pairing I've ever seen in any Final Fantasy game. Just love them to death, really.

Okay, what makes me a Cloti?

Well, to start, FF7 was the first video game I ever played. I've never gotten as interested in any other game nor have I ever fallen head over heels for any characters as much as I have for FF7. I'm a devout fangirl (sans rabies foam) and it's going to stay that way for pretty much forever.

Like Kira here, *waves* this pairing has been my absolute favorite ever since I played the game the first time around. It seems only fair that Cloud and Tifa get together after all the shit they had to go through just to admit they like each other! They are such an adorable couple, both shy and quirky and are just endless fun to tease.

I also love 'em to death, no other way to phrase it! xD I get totally fangirly whenever the topic comes up; complete with saying stupid things, giggling at wonky fanart and squeeing myself hoarse.


Why do I like them so much?

Well, it's because their story is simply amazing. They grew up together, got separated for several years and by a quirk of fate found each other again, just by random luck! And had Tifa not run into Cloud, Sephiroth wouldn't have had any opposition and everyone would have died. Their love seriously saved the world. How awesome is that? The two were meant to be together and I'm simply a sucker for happy endings.

What makes me a cloti? the fact my Cloud doll/figure as attached to mu Tifa doll/figure and and they look awesome together. Necnon, my PS3 wall paper is Tifas loading screen image from FFVII. Also Tifa and Cloud are my most used fighters on Dissidia!

♥ Awww... I love them so much. It's really good Tifa has that bit of solidness to stand on so she can stand her ground and convince Cloud it's best to keep fighting. At least now, not everyone died in vain. Such a sad story if you think about it.

We also need to get some fanart sites up, if you guys have any with Cloud and Tifa stuff feel free to link that, I will post them on the second page, fanfics and the likes are more than welcome too!

this pairing is a funny one, you can see that they like eachother from the game and advent children.... but they never seem to get together which is like real sad.. if cloud and tifa got together it would sooo awesome.. and romantic

When did you two start liking Tifa and Cloud? Also, you won't be called anything, CloTi is just the shortcut of their names. =) Cloti is just the pairing you prefer, if that's your case, then you're more than welcome.

I'm still working on updating the first and second posts. Yay for gaining more members! =)

The main reason for my liking Cloud x Tifa probably has to do with ingrained feelings of western and american sentimentality. I feel entitled to the Final Fantasy 7 series having a 'happy ending' whereby all differences and emotions can be resolved and neither Cloud nor his friends will be subject to nihilistic circumstances where they are unable to find peace or contentment in the world.

Its mostly due to my expectation that everyone should be entitled to live happily ever after and that circumstances which prevent such occurrences do not exist in the fictional nor real worlds.

Its also an offshoot of pragmatic thinking. Pragmatic materialistic logic: if Aeris is deceased, Cloud should live happily ever after with Tifa. But, alas emotions and the heart are not things which are so easily quantifiable and Cloud may very well choose to commit suicide or find a means of reviving Aeris from the lifestream so they can be together.

To be honest, I always thought Tifa looked like a twelve year old dressing in hookers attire in Final Fantasy 7. It wasn't until later with cosplay and Advent Children that Tifa began to look like a serious adult.

It would be nice if Cloud and Tifa could sort out their emotions and past history and perhaps find a means of being together, having wild sex, and eventually babies. That would be the happy ending western fiction and storytelling makes me feel entitled to.

But, deep down, I know the writers of final fantasy are asian. And those bastards do love their tragic love stories.
