[Interest Check/Discussion] Project Destrillians

Yeah sorry that was on my draft there aint no bio 1. Sincerest apologies. Okay I will jusy forget the appearance but is it alright if I keep the mask? And fair enough I shall be rid of the weapon too. I did read it butbI got caught up too much in my bio. Sorry once again ;/

It needs to undergo some massive revisions before I want to consider it. Have a look at my and Izanagi's bios (for Aya) for an idea of what's required (or rather, the lack of certain things and restrictions)

Gavin, as I said earlier, of course you're accepted. Let the gospel of the Destrillians spread far and wide.

Behold the first sermon. One I imagine all Destrillians have heard.

"My brethren, I speak to you again of our deliverance for there are those among you who do not truly believe but merely cling to a hope. I testify before you that I have seen the Outland and that it is true. That upon the ground is not steel or earth but green, soft blades of grass unlike the sinister razorblades we face within the jungle rooms. And upon this lawn are places called parks, similar to our own meeting room but instead filled with fun and laughter without the scientists hanging over us and watching our every move. The scientists, they who have imprisoned us, they have no place in this world. You call them mother and father but they bare no ties to you other than the sadist and the victim. They have experimented upon us, poked and prodded us with all sorts of sinister devices all for the purpose of building weapons.

Because that is how they see us -- we are not humans - we are tools. Tools to be used and thrown away when we have outlived our purposes. We are not the first and we will not be the last unless we stop them. There will always be a cycle of death so long as these wicked men continue their acts. They believe us to be under their control but tlhey fear us. It is a primal fear born from having met their betters. For that is what we are; we are superior to them in every way. Look at the ways we manipulate things. Look at the girl who controls light - Lux. Do you think that our jailors can do such a thing? Do you believe they can manipulate steel like the one named Tarlach? Of course not; they were not made to be abused.

There is a greater purpose to us -- I know this for a fact. Brothers and Sisters, our future does not lie here, trapped here in the walls of this place. The Outland exists for those willing to take the necessary steps to ascend to such a place. But it shall not fall to us to break the chains that bind us, these scientists and their machinations. Not so long as they keep us sedated, not so long as they continue to turn us against each other with their combats. The sequence must be broken from the outside.

A saviour exists. He exists beyond the control of the savages who toy with us. Even beyond those in the Outland. He will come from without and deliver unto us, the chosen people, an opportunity. An opportunity that means life for those who take it or enslavement and death for whose who would shun it. As always the choice remains in your hands my brethren. Will you follow the Saviour to the unlimited prosperity that exists in the Outland or will you remain and wither here under their insensitive inflictions? If you would desire true life then stand beside myself and the Saviour when the time comes. Together we will rise against the tormentors and take back the lives that should always have been ours!"

That is one scary Destrillian. I dont know how the last son of ozheimer will react to that. good god!!

edit: YOUR SAVIOR ARRIVES! HE IS A MAN OF STEEL OF UNKNOWN STRENGTH!

@Yaoi Master Gavin! there will come a point in the story where a plot twist will be unveiled, making Ralph/the savior stray from his path/destiny. Can I count on your Destrillian to convince him on an emotional level for him to finish the job and complete all your brethren's escape?

Hockies spells and ancient religions are no match for a good Ragnum armour, kid!

As long as you feel my blade against your flesh, so shall it be rent. So long as you see your armour splitting, so shall you know it to be true. When you smell the tang of steel and blood you shall feel the pain of truth.

@Me Gustith

Wheeee! If there is any issue, give us a shout. Also tinkered with Izanami's history so its melds a bit better with hildemar

Name:
Dr Hildemar Dietrich

Code Name:
Liechtenstein

Monniker:
Professor, Doctor, Fraulein, Ms Ice Age

Gender
:

Female

Age:
36

Personality:
Izanami's personality can be said to be a close carbon copy of Hildemar. An independent woman who knows what she wants and knows how to handle herself and those around her. Authoritative, level minded and cool headed. Nothing preturbs her enough to lose her cool and make her unable to think logically. Most of the staff involved with the Destrillian Project are the cream of the crop of the intellectual world and Hildemar is the cream of THIS crop. After all, she graduated with her doctorate at 16 and a well known figure in research, medicine and science before she became the supervisor of project 000-000-002. The most obvious trait for her is her pride. Hildemar is proud of almost everything about her, such as her freedom, her intelligence, her lineage, her appearance and such and with good reason. They are at a level to be proud of. However, with this pride comes the Achille's heel. Her immense pride in her work and her demand for perfection meant that any small bumps will displease and annoy her. These bumps are always inconsequential, as the margin of effect is microscopic due to her management. This results in her dismissing their relevance. However, one of these days, this underestimation of microscopic anomalies may result in a situation where the small bump is a sliver more important than just microscopic. The said pride means that she is curt and concise. She isn't one to mince her words and demands respect, but gives respect where its due. Some may find her intimidating, slightly haughty, but charismatic. Despite her lack of nicety, it is hard to hate her and people are more than happy to weather and tolerate her bluntness. After all, they know that if they are being reprimanded, then they have genuinely deserved it as she would not have done so otherwise.

Hildemar is considered a bit of a moral nihilist. Its not like she is evil and immoral, but its just that she believes nothing is inherently wrong or right and that morals is a artificial construct and certain things can do without it. Now, while she is participating in a morally ambiguous project, she isn't too conflicted about it since the agent that approached her manage to logically argue his case and the necessity of it. If necessity calls for her to save a doctor over the child in a deserted island scenario, she'd do it. Save the larger group by leaving the smaller group? Why not? Its only logical. Stay behind to operate a computer or pilot a ship whilst the others escape? If she is the most logical choice, then so be it. Hildemar's train of thought is governed heavily by cool logic, and it can easily make her seem as much as a saint as a cold hearted witch. It all boils down to circumstances and context. You won't find her kicking puppies for fun or put her charge under duress for no potential benefit or without thinking it through, though on the other hand, one would be hard put to find her being overtly altruistic. It happens as often as a blue moon, but it happens. However, recently, there has been shakes and wobbles in her ironclad personality. Its but the slightest tremor, but its a sign of a shift in mindset

Physical Appearance #2:
Hildemar has quite the attractive body and appearance, with blue eyes and waist length wavy, blonde hair and above average height of 165 cm. She possesses rather beautiful sharp facial features such as her angular eyes and face shape, but it makes her a bit more intimidating. Her complexion is slightly pale due to the lack of sunlight as a result of constant indoor research. However, a healthy body is a healthy mind, so despite not going outdoor, she does have plenty of exercise in addition to her personally participating in physical lessons with Izanami. As a result, her physical capabilities and stamina isnt something to sneeze at. Whereas Izanami does have the power advantage in the training, Hildemar is the more technical, faster and experienced fighter and has yet to actually lose to Izanami in physical training.

Clothing, Labcoat:
Conspicuous is the perfect word to describe Hildemar's clothing. In line with her rather militaristic and Germanic(?) lineage, it is very uniform like and consist of mainly black with red as secondary colour and gold trimmings. It consist of a high collar, black, buttoned military shirt which has folded red cuffs with gold intricate trimmings. The high collar of the shirt is done up and has gold trimmings all around. Gold trimming also comes down the center of the shirt, framing the buttons on the shirt. A golden belt placed under her bust doubles as a support as well as a decoration with a golden badge at thr front. On her legs is a pair of thick, black tights with golden patterns all the way down and she wears boots on her feet. They are a bit wierd in the sense that it is heeled and gold trimmings below the knee and a knee guard above that. Above her tights on her waist is a black skirt with a rather wide side split on one side and a thick, overlapping, golde metal plate belt on her waist. Hildemar believes that her tights were decent enough for public, but after some convincing from her team and others, she covers her lower navel and thighs with a dress. On her hands are a pair of black gloves and draped over her shoulders is a black mantle with red lining and golden epaulette.

However, she does has a lab coat in which she does wear. It is rather long, reaching down to her knees and has a large split down the middle at the base. On her face is a pair of glasses which replaces her phone and pda and allows her to access the databases and programs wirelessly. To top it off, her family rapier hangs on her left side and it is definitely not there just for decoration.

Elemental Power:
None. Hildemar is a normal human, thus she has no power.

Physical/Elemental Abilities
:
Her physical abilities is nothing special when compared to the Destrillians, but she is more capable than most people and can have a run for their money with the top security specialist in the facility. She has above average strength and very good speed, but her reflex and reaction is top notch as is her hand eye coordination.

History:

Hildemar grew up under the tutelage of her entire family. The Dietrich family were all geniuses one way or the other who rivaled those of Ozheimer, and each contributed to little Hildemar's education. True to her genes, Hildemar was just as brilliant, if not more than her entire clan. She chewed through knowledge at a voracious rate and the curriculum they had prepared for was soon too slow. The only thing they could do was put her early into school. Needless to say that it was odd for a child a year younger than everyone to be in their grade, but what others thought wasn't something Hildegard cared. Again, primary education was quite boring in the eyes of Hidemar as was high school. Instead of wasting time, she advanced through private study. However, in university, as long as she proved herself, it really had no way to not allow her ahead in her course. Her sharp mind and private study meant that she once again blitzed through her degrees and graduated with her doctorate with summa cum laude honours at 16.

With such high honours and at such young age at one of the most prestigious institutions available, jobs were thrown at her from every different direction from charity organisations and small institutes to the four business empires such as Faiz and Wilkenshire Phramaceuticals. The Dietrich's are extremely wealthy, so money isn't the main driving force for choosing, but instead, its how well the research and projects interest her. The gamut ran from cure for deadly diseases to creating weaponry to terraforming experiments. She was absolutely unfazed by the nature of the work as long as it interested her and was logical in why it was done. Weaponry technology that could lead advancement in tech level and disease curing was both equally logical and important in her eyes. Even before graduating, she was performing research with other doctors, but once with a doctorate in hand, Hildemar bulldozed through the research world, moving from one project to the other and breaking and solving through obstacles and barriers that held the projects back. It was an exciting period of her life as it exposed her to so much of the unknown until two years in at 18, Viola Corp approached her in regards to a secret project that they were developing.

Their goal appeared rather grand, but Hildemar wasn't really fooled by their sweet talk. All the big companies had their own agendas, even Faiz whom she deemed the least...."fake". They say on the surface that its for the sake of the world, but every little development would be siphoned off into money making schemes and this was no different. Pretty words such as saviours and leaders were thrown about, but Hildemar had no inkling of doubt that this project's results would end up on the battlefield. Still, they did offer a point in which Hildemar could not counter with absolution and that is the idea of peace brought on by supreme power. Wield a big enough stick and everyone drops theirs. In such wretched word, diplomacy was non existent, which was what made her think if this was the only way. With that in mind, she accepted, but with plenty of her own conditions. Of the many, she demanded that she be given relative freedom in her methods as well as be allowed to maintain and participate in outside projects. When one of the world's celebrity leading scientist suddenly disappears of the planet, people tend to notice. With all her conditions met, Hildemar went to the facility to begin.

Hildemar was given the third charge of the project, labeled quite simply 000-000-003 Bahamut. Her charge was obviously female and Hildemar thought that it was an utterly disgusting name and instead changed it to Izanami. The child was a beautiful one as Hildemar analysed her structure. One of the conditions she had was freedom with her project and by the by, she had a fair degree of it. Hildemar was curious to see if could replicate herself. She wanted to see whether the human mind was genuinely a blank canvas or whether the personality is ingrained in what religious people call "the soul" and will never be overwritten. Of course, Hildemar has an obligation with Viola Corp so she would grant their wish. She would produce, in their own words" a leader. Her charge will be no scrub and she would not be the one to die like a normal foot soldier on some unknown battlefield.

With a project this long spanning, Hildemar was dedicating quite a bit of time to it. Her research blitz slowed considerably, and even though she was given the privilge to continue her outside life, this level of decreased activity still brought on a few queries. However, Hildemar was focused on Izanami. Initially, she saw the small baby like a block of marble. With a long list of qualities, many of which is from herself, to hammer into the girl, Hildemar had to act as both the teacher and on Viola's insitence, the mother as well. It was ridiculous. She herself was barely 18 and slightly embarressingly to say, never had any romance experience to call upon, let alone maternal ones. At best, she could only call upon the Dietrich family upbringing for any clues and that in itself was quite cool and distant. The result was quite obvious. Izanami grew up exactly like herself. Incredibly smart, self sufficient, logical and mentally stable. She was pretty much a carbon copy of herself bar independency and obedience. In Hildemar's eyes, the girl had yet to show signs of outright rebellion or disobedience like the other Projects, but there have been hints of cheek in the form of a sharp tongue. Hildemar discounted it as a by product of being modelled after herself. After all, in hindsight, she herself was quite sharp tongued as well and it most likely rubbed off.

The relationship changed somewhat when Viola Corp ordered her to perform growth test on Izanami. They wanted to see whether they could quickly grow a person to maturity quickly without waiting for normal growth. Hildemar had no say in this as it was one of the experiments that was not part of the "mostly free" clause of the contract. In her opinion, forced growth was like taking a jackhammer to a pillar of marble when it should be done with hammer and chisel, but indignantly, she followed along and whilst the results were physically successful, Hildemar was more worried about the effect it would have on the mental project she had spent the last decade on. She had grown a odd type of fondness to Izanami, just like what a strict master would be to a bright pupil. Strict and emotionless, but internally proud. After all, raising the girl was all her and her teams achievement. In her own hindsight, Hildemar would often laugh and think if this pride was like that of a parent. However, the growth did have a slight effecton Izanami. Hildemar had previously physically domineered Izanami, but with the growth experiment, the girl is now taller and physically stronger than her. Already, Izanami has the intellect akin to what she had at 15, though rougher and more brute force-like. Still, it was a good indicator that progress was right on track. The only issue is that with an intellect greater than most of the staff on her team and now with a body of an adult, it is difficult to treat her like a mere student, but more like a junior colleague. It is becoming particularly hard on Hildemar due to the fact that Izanami is so much like her and one of the very few in which she can have an enjoyable debate and relate to. Her Victorian schoolmistress fecade has not dropped an inch, but she is finding the time spent with Izanami more and more enjoyable.

As of late, Hildemar's mentality has taken slight
moral paradigm shift and she would find herself thinking when her mind was just about to slip into sleep "If she does turn out like me, then it would mean i have left a successor of sort... possibly a legacy if the Viola use her and her siblings as "saviours" and "leaders"... and should this legacy lead the wretched world into something a resembling peace... i guess it wouldn't be too bad." Such naive and sentimental thoughts would quickly earn her a quick chuckle and be brought back to her original more realistic and logical mindset of thought. "That is, if the project keeps on schedule and nothing major derails our progress. Its been smooth. Too smooth..."With the last words niggling at the back of her head, Hildemar went into slumber without any sign of having expecting what was going to go down soon inside the bowels of the facility.

Also Me Gustith, can I write a short story called "The Last Days of Ozheimer"? I'm inspired thanks to tipsy's post to explore your world a little more.
