The year is 1874, over 150 years since the Thanatos Disaster has devastated the World of Archeron, and rebuilt in the image of the Technocrats. The world, still largely devastated from the disaster is now on the path to recovery and prosperity.

But there are those who seek the destruction of the new way of life, the Luddites, those who spurn technology in favor of the old ways...

Both the Technocrats and the Luddite factions have uncovered artifacts linking towards the Thanatos-era superweapon, the Magitek rail-cannon system, Ceres. Whomever holds the power of this weapon could dominate the world, or in turn spur its destruction on a scale far greater than the Thanatos Disaster.

Using your skills in the fields of science, technology and war? Can you secure the superweapon for yourself or your country? Can you keep it out of the hands of the Luddites who wish for your civilizations end? Can you shape the future that can stand the test of time?

I have a couple of questions before I start writing any further on my bio. Due to my current work schedule, there are at the very least four days in a row where I won't be able to reply. Perhaps maybe once in that four day period I can pull something off, but I work 12 hour shifts and they kind of beat me down. Are you, as the GM, okay with this? For others planning on joining, are you okay with this? I don't want to slow things down and due to my posting limitations, I don't want to be responsible for someone not being able to enjoy things to the fullest.

Furthermore, I take it the Technocrats are primarily technology based (herpaderpaderp) while the Luddites are primarily magic based. Is it feasible for a Technocrat to use magic, and vice versa is it feasible for a Luddite to use modern day technology? If that's been answered in the story sage part and I skipped over it, please feel free to call me a derp whilst linking it to me. Seeing as I've never joined a SFR RP before, I don't be knowing things things yo. Also, I noticed that every faction uses a different language. Is there a common tongue that most people (or at least the more educated) would know? I imagine that a group of five, all being from different factions, none of which being able to communicate very well with each other, would probably end in disaster.

It is good that you bring up these questions and I applaud you for it.

Firstly, I have no problem with this. I'm GM for three other RP's beside this one, and I have college coursework, RP Moderating and a now bi-Monthly RP Newsletter on top of it. It might not seem like much, but it is quite a handful. Plus, the RP section tends to run slow after a while, and while my stubbornness keeps it alive, I honestly don't care at how fast it runs, as long as we reach the end of the road.

Secondly, There are magic users among the Technocrats, but all factions, Luddite included have the same drawback with Magic...there is just not that many in the world who know magic, and even fewer that mastered it. Luddites, are against modern technology, but there are a certain few who are pragmatic enough to use it to achieve their own ends.

Thirdly, while there is the language barrier (and this is actually evident with just about any SFR RP) for the most part of a character, most of the people who would be in it, would probably know a common language. In the canon setting, Britannian (the SFR Eequivalent to English) is the lingua franca spoken among the well-educated, so to speak. It is for that reason that it would be the primary language spoken amongst the player characters, who would fall into that line. Though some NPC's will tend to only speak in the languages mentioned in the Story Sages. For the most part, I use Google Translate, even though some of their translations are generally not that good.

Fascinating. I appreciate the amount of detail that has went into this project... And since this role-play is still at its infancy, unlike most others here at the moment, can I join in? I'm new to this forum, so I'm not exactly familiar with how things may operate here, so do guide me along!

I was actually wondering if it was possible that my character be someone renowned as an inventor. Like having invented tons of things (which mostly didn't become popular enough in the market), and just a few noteworthy inventions... Of course, I have in mind some ways to compensate for this exceptional quality... But I wanted to get permission to have someone like this first before going ahead.
 
Just make the bio and I will see how it goes from there. I would like to see how you are going to compensate for your character being a skilled inventor.

Pheonicians are winged humanoids, of which make up 5% of the World Population. They are notable in that they look exactly like humans, with the exception that they have bird wings on their back. These wings are usually gold in color, though they can come in a wide array of greys, blacks, whites and reds. Another feature about them is the fact that they can have exotic natural eye colors, instead of the browns and blues that most humans have. They are capable of flying at speeds of up to 200 miles at most.

A notable fact about these people is that they are capable of reincarnating if they are to die from a peaceful death, despite the fact that they can reproduce sexually as well. They don't usually do so though, and their numbers remain stable due to their large life expectancy (75 years) and the fact that they can live longer lives than humans (up to 150). These people originally lived in the mountains of the Atlian Continent, namely Brittania and Caledonia, but over time has spread themselves across the world.

Appearance:
Frederick Francis (Germanized as Frederich Franz) stands at 180 cm (5' 11") tall with short brown hair and brown colored eyes, a rare trait among Pheonicians to not have vivid hair and eye colors. His wings are reddish brown in color and have a wing span of roughly 5 feet when spread out. Franz is of a skinny, with a somewhat rounded jaw and somewhat toned muscle mass.

His nominal attire consists of a olive green cotton vest over his normal white collared shirt, and olive green colored trousers that extend to the top of his feet. He wears pressed leather shoes that seem a little cheaply crafted. On occasions he would wear a brown cloth trenchcoat as well.

Personality:
Frederick is calm, patient and articulate. He always speaks clearly, and acts cool-headed in certain situations, even giving so much as a deadpan remark when in danger. However, Frederick is altogether apathetic, and doesn't seem to take to concern the feelings of others.

He's knowledgeable in terms of military equipment and designs, he having sought to modify designs for his own personal use. However, he isn't like a McGuyver-type of person, he can't make all sorts of things on the fly, preferring to test his ideas first. Frederick never feels his inventions are ready unless it is perfect in his eyes, and thus is insecure about letting his inventions be used and it turned out not to work as intended.

Weapons:
Frederick's weapon of choice is the Mauser Gewehr 88. A 7.92-mm Bolt-action Rifle with 5 rounds. It is modified to use the stripper clips used for the Gewehr 98 rifle, even though it uses the same type of ammunition. It was Frederick's service rifle, and the weapon he kept over from his military service.

His other weapon is an old Cavalry Saber. A blade at 33 inches long, this steel sword, while crafted well, is still old and had been reforged time and again to keep it together in one piece. It is still quite sharp however, and can be used to slice open an animal or a living person with relative ease.

Story:
Frederick Franz von Tann was born February 2, 1848 in Eruch, Alemannia. The son of a Housewife and a Capenter, Frederick lived a relatively tame life. He was a bookworm at youth, never once shaking off the book. Through this, he would learn the best he could, getting the best education his middle-class parents could afford (which was not much by any chance), and by age sixteen enlisted himself into the Alemanni Military.

During his army career, Frederick Franz served as an Army Mechanic, servicing Tanks in the Southern Military District, taking to such places as Franconia, Swabia and Baden-Wurttemburg. Frederick would slowly rise through the ranks, reaching the rank of Unteroffizier (Subordinante Officer, Equivalent to the rank of Corporal) within 6 years of his career, with the opprotunity to go even further. But the death of his father forced him to leave the Army life to return home.

Upon returning home, he would sell his father's workshop and use the money he earned from this and his military service to move to the World Political and Technological Center, Line Ark, where he set up his own garage to repair and service vehicles, machines, firearms and the like. Who would think that he would be dragged into the events that would shape Archeron's future?

Race: High Elvean(There has been mixing between humans and one Fidelian ancestor is present, however the Elveans are more present in this particular family line).

Allere has slightly tan skin with dirty blonde, shoulder length hair and blue eyes. His ears are slightly pointed, but not so much so that they look particularly Elvean. He stands at 6 foot 1 inch and wears a serious, sometimes confused, expression upon his face. He is tall and well built. He wears his traveling clothes often(as seen in the photo) and also wears a brown leather beret-like hat and he often carries a leather sack on his back. His appearance is generally that of a ragged traveler and consists of dirt and sweat from his travels. His overall attire usually consists of a clean vested suit(a charcoal gray except black vest, shoes & tie) and travelling clothing. He is always seen as a rugged stranger that could do with a bit of tidying up.

Personality: On the surface Alere seems to be an alert young traveler with a short tolerance for rowdy children, wealthy folk, and terrible employees. Despite initial impressions he is a very quiet, soft spoken individual who possesses lower self esteem than he would like. He is truly a man of few words, only speaking when being addressed or out of respect. He cares very much what others think of him and prefers to stay away from large crowds, especially those that seem a bit judgy. He has good intentions towards others regardless if he gives a disapproving frown or an annoyed stare.

Alere also has a spiritual drive to get what he wants. He is determined to work hard for what he wants, no matter the cost. This helps him well in the business world where he is either respected or mocked. He has morals that he cannot cross(unjust murder, intentionally harming innocents) that he will not cross even after bluffing. Anything that is obtainable without performing terrible deeds can be gotten by this man through his hard determination.

The lower class of the world is where Alere feels comfortable spending his time. He avoids loud, energetic people. Their personalities feel draining to him and he finds most peace when alone in a quiet setting.

Abilities
Despite the near extinction of magic in Archeron, Alere still possesses a few inherited family traits.

Regeneration - His own body works alongside the inherited magical energy he possesses. The natural flow of magical currents within constantly repairs the cells in his body. This is what gives him a fresh, healthy, youthful appearance(once cleaned up every now and then). This ability runs at a fixed time and is a passive skill. It can prevent an easy death from very harsh wounds. It's an ability that cannot protect him from fatal wounds or bring him back to life(destroyed brain, stabbed in vital organ).

Limb blades - This ability skips a generation every once in a while and has become a trademark family ability. It is an ability Alere has been born with and he uses it mostly for self defense. it can be activated through will or emotion. Once activated, his two arms or legs can shift into razor sharp silver colored spikes made of a very sharp, liquid-like material. She can manipulate the blades on her arm into any shape, whether they take the form of a knife, axe, sword, etc. The material hardens on impact(It is able to pierce through most Aetherium based materials). This ability is not intended for shielding purposes but any attacks to his limbs in blade form will most likely not be felt unless heavy damage is inflicted. If the blades or limbs are somehow broken, his limbs will also be broken after changing his limbs back. This ability can be used only on his arms and legs.

Story: Born into a well known family that had lost all status and reputation Alere grew up as the youngest of four in a very poor, disgraced family. During the first decade of his childhood his family lived in muddy slums and wastelands created from the Thanatos Crisis. His mother sold herself into prostitution, unheard of since then. His father salvaged pieces of old technology and culture for small amounts of money.

It wasn't until his father uncovered 3 mighty stones of Thanatium that the family had found it's way out of poverty. However by then his two eldest siblings had long perished, one from starvation, the other executed for theft. His father managed to sell two of the large stones at very high prices and purchased old Cantigre lands as well as airships and old Cantigre clinics that had earned the family it's high status in the past.

Wealth was something Alere liked more than his crippled older sister. In fact, he felt guilty of his greed growing up. This has led him closer to his grandmother, who lived in times where the family has unimaginable wealth and businesses throughout the land. Even after the return to wealth, the treatment of their family was not of the kindest, and so both Alere and his grandmother generally dislike most of the rich. The two share a closer bond than anyone in the rest of the family.

After years of higher education, physical training, and business studies, Alere was granted ownership of a few clinics throughout Archeron. It was through managing these in the last few years of his life that Alere became a more soft-hearted person. It was working with the sickly that he created his own mindset that the wealthy have a responsibility to protect those who cannot fend for themselves. And thus his travels lead him all throughout the country going from clinic to clinic to manage and expand his businesses.

Of course. I'm tall though. 1 700 021 micrometers! Don't ask me about the specifics, I just know it. Weight? Oh, lets see, 0.064 megagrams. Yep, I'm real light.

What?! You want more details? Right... My brows are well-defined - thanks to yours truly. With that nice little curve up at the edges, yes? A work of art, isn't it?! I know right! Oh, and my eyes, as you may or may not be capable of observing, is a pleasant cyan. Or teal? Urgh, whatever, I don't really care. I wear glasses anyways. Maybe I should invent something to hide my eyes.......... HOLD IT. Let me get this idea down!

Ahem. Oh. My nose? It's a nice little thing. A little annoying though. Oh you meant how it looked like... Right. Right. Of course. It's a delightful dainty little thing... Not too prominent, unlike me. HAHAHAHAHA!

What! You have a problem? Ah. Now on to the body of your little description. SEE WHAT I DID THERE? HAHAHAHAHA. Come on, laugh!

Okay... You serious creep. As your suspiciously weak powers of observation may have picked up, I have a rather slim bodyline... My arms may be a little meatier than most women, but structurally, I will argue that it will serve as a better arm than most. Personality:
As you ought to notice by now, Eindison Scarlet Blaze, is a lady with an ego significantly larger than her chest (which you have to admit is pretty large). Exacerbated by her complete lack of shame and tact, she leaves most with a horrendous impression. And even if somehow the reverse holds true... Well, that has yet to happen. In her defence, she speaks the truth, even if her 'truth' is expressed in a... Unique manner (as she would put it). Having said that, she is obstinately honest and would rather die than not tell the truth - not literally of course.

Her eccentricity is renowned, and is almost a joke of her town. Her sense of humour, for one, tends to be one-sided, with her laughing more than the people who should be laughing. Also, her mind is constantly playing around with ideas, to the point she appears to be mentally challenged with a perpetually dazed, slack-jawed expression etched on her face. And of course, most famous now is her latest interview with the reporter for the Alemannia Insider, where a journalist is given a first-hand experience of her eccentricity.

Weapons:
The Pen and Paper. Literally. Eindison (or 'Scarlet' for short), does not carry a weapon with her because it is too unwieldy. She does, however, keep with her a pen and her trusty notepad with which she jots down ideas for new inventions at all times. It's just a coincidence that her pen conceals a compartment containing Aetherium shrapnels which can be launched from the tip to inflict superficial to fatal wounds (depending on where it hits). She is also capable of creating weapons as need be (provided she has the materials, but she rarely keeps those weapons with her after the need for it dissipates).

Skills & Abilities:
Exceptional Ingenuity. Scarlet's aptitude for technological creations is an inborn trait unique to her, quite possibly granting her the potential to be the best inventor of her time. A potential that is very much hindered by her exceptionally poor interpersonal skills and equally exceptional eccentricity. Beyond the stereotypical inventing of contraptions and devices, she is also adept at conceiving masterful tactics to fit a given situation, or even engaging in an hour long debate about who makes the better cake in town using pure logic.

Optimism. Deemed an 'ability' and not a personality trait because her optimism stems from her eccentricity. Due in large part to her eccentric nature, she somehow manages to see the good and bad in most situations... And for some reason, the good in such situations never fail to make her laugh... Which is why she just has to point it out... Which also happens to make her seem rather optimistic. Which by extension helps her, and the people around her who benefit from it.

The Thanatium Wannabe (an excellent copy of thanatium which has somehow created a market for faked thanatium jewellery)

NOTE: Notable creations are recognized works attributed to her. Random creations are recognized jokes she keeps away in her house (after a failed attempt to launch it in the market as a product).

Background:
Scarlet was born 'Eindison Scarlet Blaze', a name conceived by her father, who himself was an inventor. He named his red-haired daughter after two famous people. However, 'Scarlet Blaze' was not a part of her name until a year after her birth during a failed experiment which literally produced a 'scarlet blaze' that destroyed their house. Blaming the failure on the girl, he added 'Scarlet Blaze' to her name as a reminder of what happened, and would, as the girl grew, constantly remind her of the significance of the name.

Still, despite his hatred for Scarlet, he continued to raise her to be an inventor, involving her in a strict regime of scientific education. She was not allowed to do anything else but study the science of invention and despite her pleas and tantrums, her father refused to let her out. However, due to that, she is extremely knowledgeable in a wide range of topics which allows her to be a fairly multi-disciplinary inventor.

Coincidentally, she also became an extremely eccentric individual. Highly disturbed, and so weird its funny. As a teenager, she started to invent things of her own, using the limited materials she could gather without her father's notice. As the materials were self-sourced, they tended to be of low quality, and they always wound up being hilarious failures that served to be the butt of jokes in town. Ask anyone and almost everyone can tell you how they saw a beautiful young girl tried to fly using an umbrella with gas cylinders attached to it. The top of the umbrella came off, leaving the girl in a dishevelled mess, and all she did was laugh.

And this was one of the many stories that any adult living in the town can recite. There were many more stories of her interesting failures, to the extent that her father, sick and tired of being teased about this failure of a daughter, packed up and left, leaving her with nothing but a dilapidated house. For Scarlet, that was all she needed. She was 16 at the time, and she began working with the resources that her father could not take with him when he left (owing to practical reasons).

From the materials she first invented the Door Knob Opener, a product she tried vehemently to get people to use. As most people were born with hands which they were fine with using to open door knobs, the product obviously failed to take off. But without her father to hold back her creative juices, she went berserk with inventions after inventions, starting with the TSAAP, then the TSCPWIVB. It was then she came across a fan whilst trying to sell the TSCPWIVB, and in the next moment, she saw a refrigerator.

Her mind went into an overdrive. For the next few weeks, no one saw her. People thought she had died in her house, finally succumbing to her poverty at last. Oh, and how wrong they were when she emerged with a product that was actually useful. A fan that blast cold air, and her timing could not have been more impeccable, for it was completed at the peak of summer, when it was hottest. The product sold like hot cakes, and suddenly, she had the ability to purchase tons of materials...

... To create many more products like the TSAAP or the TSCPWIVB. The Iron Gentleman was created around this time as well. This went on for a good 11 years. As she lived frugally, spending most of her money on materials for her latest inventions, her wealth from the sale of the air cooler was able to sustain her for that amount of time. By the end of the 11th year after her successful Air Cooler, she was starting to fall back into obscurity and poverty. Fortunately for her, at the time, a convention for inventors was held in the town, and having invented something revolutionary before, she was given an invitation.

It was there she encountered several prototypal designs of various existing devices. One that particularly caught her eyes were those meant for military usage. Suddenly fascinated by military inventions, she obsessed over the blueprints for as many devices as she could see, staying from the time the convention opened to the time it closed. The workers had to tie her up and toss her into the ocean for her to finally give up. They had intended to kill her, but it failed, fortunately.

Nevertheless, on returning home, Scarlet began work on drawing the blueprints from memory. It was not a perfect replica, but her understanding of it, and as she drew it, she made changes and improvements based on her understanding. That took her almost a year. At the age of 28, she was back to her original state, poor and penniless without the ability to even purchase materials to build anything - and what she intended to create required a lot of time and money.

But the idea of giving up did not exist in her brain, which was so fortunately and unfortunately focused on the purpose of creation that she decided to take to the streets. The townspeople were amused for a time, but eventually they became annoyed and she became a nuisance, a liability to the peace of the town. She was incarcerated and it was there by chance that she encountered an engineer who happened to be passing by. The engineer, an ambitious young man found out from her the whole idea that she had and immediately saw his chance to make it big.

He pleaded for clemency and brought her before the Inventor's Guild, the union for inventors which had amongst its members famous people that contributed greatly to society. He presented the idea based on the description by Scarlet, passing it off as his own. The Guild was captivated for it criticised a design that had been in use for over 10 years. However, when questioned, they discovered the engineer could not explain. The farce exposed, they had him thrown out and brought Scarlet forth to explain.

And finally given her opportunity to speak, she began to explain the mechanics behind what would eventually become the 'Ammunition Supply System'. Many were initially doubtful that an individual this young could innovate something of this scale, but fortunately for Scarlet, among the few that had no doubts about her, there were wealthy investors who saw a spark of ingenuity in her that they cannot quite put a finger on.

And they were spot on. After several prototypes over the course of 3 years, she created the Ammunition Supply System, which the military world wide began to integrate into their systems. Suddenly, she was rich again, for the system was not simply sold to the ordinary consumers, but, in fact, to countries. With the success of the systems, she found her place in the Guild (although many objected to her induction on the basis of terrible character). The Guild immediately commissioned her to design another system, this time for engines. She refused, but instead produced the 'Efficiency Framework', a blueprint which satisfied not just the Guild but the world at large, who sought to pay her the top dollar to purchase it.

Releasing this next successful invention so soon after her first, she became immensely wealthy. It also shot her to fame and renown amongst inventors as the rising star of the generation. However, as is her apparent trend, she has stopped inventing anything of particular use for the time, focusing on an Iron Gentleman V2. Incidentally, whilst experimenting with Thanatium, she created a material that looked somewhat similar. She called it the 'Thanatium Wannabe'. She would have sold it to the Guild, but she was instead bribed by a merchant in the black market who promised to fund all her inventions.

He kept up his end of the bargain, and suddenly, mimicked Thanatium jewellery hit the market. A few months passed as she continued her series of random inventions when she received a letter from the Alemannian Insider. They sought an interview and Scarlet was keen to grant it.

Story:
The journalist could take it no more. This... This creature. It's too foul a beast to further document. He stood up with a huge sigh, meeting the gaze of the slack-jawed interviewee that had somehow kept chattering for the past hour.

"Oh? You prefer to stand? Interesting," exclaimed Scarlet as she stood up, grinning at the journalist who averted his gaze and moved to leave. He slammed the door shut without looking back, without even so much as a 'farewell'. Scarlet, however, paid him no heed. She took a seat, resting her legs on the now available chair.

"Ah, you're missing out on the good part! I was about to tell you a story!

A story about a magnificent creature born into this world. This creature, so beautiful, so... AWESOME. HAHAHAHA. Ahem. This creature with blood-coloured fur, grew up in a house that stifled its growth. Papa creature tells the creature,' No you may not do this. And you may not do that.' He beats the poor little creature into submission, BUT THE CREATURE WILL NOT SUCCUMB! Papa creature could do nothing more about it! He ran! The magnificent creature is free!"

Scarlet's arms were raised as if to celebrate a victory. Then, turning to face no one in particular, she wondered aloud," But where is Mama creature?"

A playful smile crept up her face.

"That's a story for later! HAHAHAHAHA!"

Heidemarie's hair is quite long, reaching the small of her back. Her fringe at the front sweeps to the right, hanging pass her eyebrows. The parts further away from the split to the sides are longer, such as near the eyes.

Body Type:
Heidemarie is a frontline soldier. Therefore, her body shape is quite fit and healthy. At 24, Heidemarie is in her prime compounded with harsh military training and live action. Lithe, springy and toned with muscles, as a tanker, Heidemarie is constantly exposed to heavy machinery and heavy lifting such as track works, engine maintenance, shell loading and the like. In terms of physical prowess, she is well more capable than a large portion of females. In regards to feminine wiles and shape, whilst her body is quite curvy and she does have a bit of a bust and buttocks, the more muscular structure makes her less desirable than the town lasses that are a bit more soft. What she does have that isn't affected by her profession is her face. Beneath the grime and dust from the field and tank maintenance is quite the fetching beauty. It is quite different from the more sophisticated and soft nobles in the city. Instead, her facial structure and features are more angular and sharp, a sense of raw energy and unrefined roughness unbefitting her level of her lineage. There is just something wild and free spirited in her face which reflects confidence, determination and a drive for success no matter the hardship.

Attire (minus white gloves):
Heidemarie's outfit is more than just field fatigues and are a bit more formal. On her chest, she wears a white military suit shirt with a black tie. On top of that is a gray and black fatigue shirt. However, it is only buttoned from the third button down, revealing her white shirt and tie. Lastly on top of her torso is her military smock in dark gray, red and white trimming. The smock is a short sleeved piece of clothing, revealing the gray fatigue sleeve on her arms and reaching down to just above her knees. A row of red starts at her neck andgoes along the top of the collar before going over the shoulder and down the sleeves with white borders. Similarly, two rows of red stripes comes down vertically at the front with two emblem patches near the top of her chest. Her left chest patch shows her unit emblem, the 503rd Schwere Panzerabteilung/ heavy tank battallion of the 1st Panzer Division.
On her right patch is her platoon number (3rd platoon) in embroidery in black with red border on a white back lining. Around her waist is a large leather belt which she can attach cases and pouches.

Her forearms are covered with a pair of cavalry gloves which are dark gray in colour. The gloves covered her hands and her forearms. Her leg trousers are also dark gray, the same as her shirt fatigue. These are tucked into her marching boots that rises to her knees. Her mantle is black on the outside and red on the underside with golden trimmings and golden epaulets on her shoulder. Across the front of the colour is a golden link which holds the mantle close. Lastly, her hat is a black garrison cap with red lining


Optional for her is a black greatcoat with a quick release belt. Like her smock, her battalion and her platoon emblems are on her lapels. The said belt can host the same gear as her inside belt and can be worn inside on top, so that she can take off her gear in one piece without actually loosening her smock.

Personality:
Heidemarie personality doesn't quite mesh with expectations. As a whole, she was originally taught in a manner befitting a noble, a step above the ragtag, to be a leader and to obey noblesse oblige. As a result, she tends to act in a rather austere way, with a tendency of applying the same high standards she uses on her own self to those around her. Her strong points in regards to her personality is her charisma. Heidemarie excelled at grabbing the hearts of those she interacts with through a balance of pride, severity in expectation and appreciative and encouraging words when they are deserving and punishment when needed.

Militarily, she also had the theories, facts, tactics and data imprinted in her head at a young age. It was just a matter of implementing them when required. This turned Heidemarie quite black and white early on in regards to military life. She had the bureaucratic belief that as soldiers, rules and orders should be followed to the letter. This was purely due to the fact that she genuinely believed that officers were chosen since they were the best trained, taught and suited people to lead. Otherwise, why else were they chosen?

The later parts of her life, after a few years as a soldier, changed Heidemarie quite dramatically. She still retained her high standards and her charismatic severe charm. The main things that did change is her black and white view on military matters. Personal experience had, in effect, destroyed her idea of officers being absolutely capable and infallible. In place of it is a more pragmatic approach. It didnt mean she lost her high standards and expectation, but it did mean that she was no longer a "butter bar" and is much more flexible in her train of thoughts. The respect and dedication her men has to her is due to the fact that she has earned her rank and their respect throughout the years since her first campaign. As a result, they are more than willing to put up with abuse because they know she wouldn't reprimand them unless it was necessary. However, while Heidemarie has gained the respect of her subordinates and her performance remains top notch, the high society in which she and her family belonged to is now more critical of her. They believe she is slumming it with her interaction with her men. Rather than upholding the esteem of an officer from upper class, they compare the way she acts more akin to an upstart officer from the enlisted lower class. To them, the ties between officer and enlisted is more blurred than they liked and she is becoming more rough around the edges

All in all, Heidemarie is in an odd position. Her personality is really still that of a noble, but
high society kind of shuns her because they believe she is becoming too chummy with enlisted men on the front line and losing the division between ranks, but in actual fact, the only thing that has changed was her tactical and strategic mindset and the line is just as present as any other division. Its just that the soldiers are willing to follow her and rather than being led by fear and oppression of rank, they follow Heidemarie through respect and trust. The soldiers may treat her more casually than desired as a way to tease her and whether the resulting punishment, but that is how the soldiers act, rather than Heidemarie being more lenient.

Artillery Luger Lange Pistole 08 withTrommelmagazin 08 (drum magazine),
#2,drum magazine, #2, drum magazine pouch:
The artillery Luger Lange Pistole 08, or Luger LP08 is a pistol carbine version of the Luger P08 pistol. It is designed for soldiers who do not really require a full rifle, but may require something a bit more than just a sidearm. The barrel of the LP08 is longer than the regular Luger, being 200mm, allowing it to be more accurate at longer range. Heidemarie also chambers a higher pressure cartridge as lower pressure ones can cause jamming during the action. Along with the pistol, it has a wooden stock which attaches onto the base of the grip of the Luger along with a leather holster which is strapped and attached to the side of the stock. The wooden stock act as the attaching point in which it is attached to her belt. There is a leather belt which wraps around her waist, holding a leather magazine pouch that holds three magazines inside with one magazine inside the gun. Each magazine holds 8 rounds within. The two drum magazine she has are high capacity magazine which holds 32 rounds. It is much bulkier than the normal clip and therefore aren't clipped onto her belt. Instead, the magazine pouches are attached to an adjustable shoulder strap which she can throw it across her chest. Usually, if she does sling it across her body, the two magazines hang behind her waist. Spare ammo were boxed inside the tank in storage compartments.

Mauser Gewehr 98a, bayonet, scope:
The carbine version of the standard Gewehr 98. It is 1090mm in length and its shorter length was designed for armoured mounted units. As a tanker, she and her men falls under this category. More often than she liked, Heidemarie's platoon has fought on foot without the cover of their tanks. Of course, they follow proper combat doctrine by centralising it around the heavy firepower provided by stripping the top mounted heavy machine guns for use, but they are as proficient wit the use of the G98 as any other soldier and as an avid shooter, she is much more so. The webbing that comes with the rifles can hold 20 strips of individually pouched stripper clips with five rounds apiece. Spare and different types of ammo are boxed on the tank in storage compartments. Officially, they were meant to be stowed inside the tanks with the tankers. However, even at only 1090mm, its still a bit long for the cramped tank interior. Instead, they had one rifle (usually hers) inside along with all the webbings and the rest stowed around the outside of the tank. If they needed to shoot long range from within the tank through firing ports, the single rifle was all they needed. If they weren't shooting long range, the luger was sufficient enough until they dismounted and retrieved the rifles outside.

The bayonet that accompanies it is 50 cm in length with a 35 cm blade. Heidemarie's platoon's bayonet are special as it has a serrated back design on it for a more multipurpose tool. This bayonet is attached to her waist permanently on the leather belt with her magazine pouches. The scope she has is a Zeiss Veimar x2 to x4 variable zoom offset scope. Her rifle has quick mounting points for the scope and a down turned bolt handle.

Riding crop:
Normally, it wouldn't be considered a weapon, but Heidemarie's riding crop is a loaded item, meaning the shaft and the head is filled or lined with heavy metal. The riding crop is an obsolete item from older times. As what can be considered the modern "cavalry" units, Heidemarie carries one in place of a swagger stick. Her crop is quite long, even longer than her bayonet, at 52 cm in length. It is kept in its own sheath that runs parallel with her bayonet.

Binoculars (without case) and map case:
The standard issue commander binoculars and slik map with a hard case. The map case rest on her waist above her right leg while the binoculars hang around her neck.

Duffle Bag:
A standard
Alemannian Army tactical duffle bag in which she can stash equipment that would not need to be used immediately. Has backpack straps as well as a shoulder strap and is waterproof.


Skills & Abilities:
Leadership:
As the commander of a platoon of 5 tanks, Heidemarie is quite a capable leader. She is a decorated soldier who has proven her worth and mettle in the face of blood, fire and death.

Multi lingual:
Raised as a noble, linguistic skills is a must. The three main language in which she knows outside of her native tongue is Gallican, Britannian, moderate Hispanian with some broken Orlinean.

Crackshot:
Be it from the turret of her tank and at the command of artillery to rifles and pistols to bows javelin and slingshots, give her whatever ranged weapon and a target and Heidemarie can guarantee a hit. She is a naturally aspired sniper. The head of the enemy general? Done. Through the eye slit of an enemy tank? No problem. Between the joints of a person's armour? Childs play. Of course, she is most proficient with her rifle and pistol and in general, anything powered by gunpowder. Still, the more primitive ranged weapons are still within her area of expertise.

Atheleticism: Whilst not pocessing the strongest arm, Heidemarie is really fit. She can run and climb for days and break into full speed spring in the blink of an eye, usually outpacing most people. This is quite important as the only melee weapon she has to depend on is her riding crop and bayonet. Even then, if she could, Heidemarie would rather fight ranged than up close. In fact, the further away, the better, especially if other people are acting as distraction

Mechanical Skills: While not as skilled as the mechanics at the depots, Heidemarie is still quite capable of maintaining and fixng her gear in field. After all, as a range centric fighter, her gear is her survival. She is particularly capable of fixing her rifle and her pistol, but she is not above jury rigging rudimentary traps and fixing mechanical objects.

Story:

Despite the cataclysmic collapse of society across the globe, the Broderica family managed to retain some form of power within the old Germanic area. Baden - Wurttemberg was thankfully spared of most of the damage done by Thanatos. Along with the militaristic nature of the domain and the discipline that came within, the ensuing anarchy was lessened by a huge degree when compared to other districts. Throughout the years of anarchy, Baden - Wurtemberg weathered the abuse of banditry and warlords, but it was an uphill fight. The then Lord Frederic Broderica knew that it was only a matter of time their slice peace would be snatched away from them and that there was nothing he could do about it. When the days grew more and more dark, a single ray of hope broke through and that was the rise of the Technocrats.

The Alemannian Technocrats were, at this time, sweeping through the shattered remains of the old Holy Germanian Empire which the Brodericas were part of. When their advance parties came into Baden - Wurttemberg and found the lack of widespread anarchy, rather than take by force, they approached Lord Broderica to offer him a deal. Lord Frederic Broderica II was not stupid. His grandfather had always told him of the inevitable fall of their house and their people and he himself knew this was no lie. If joining under the new power would result in their survival, then so be it. It was with that that Baden Wurttemberg joined the Alemannian Technocrats.

The Brodericas benefited greatly. In addition to being protected, Lord Broderica managed to put up false images of power and stability of Baden - Wurttemberg and that joining them was not out of necessity, but respect. Through skillful negotiation skills and sheer luck, the negotiations went their way and the Brodericas retained their land and title in addition to technological advancement and welfare aid. In exchange, the Brodericas and the people of Baden - Wurttemberg were to provide their long lineage of militaristic expertise to Alemannia. A incredibly minute price to pay.

Close to a 70-80 years later, Heidemarie was born. By now, Baden - Wurttemberg is a major military hub. The castle town Lowe has exploded into a large sprawling city, mostly dealing with the military and its family. From airports, tank depots, garrisons, supply depots and the like to factories and military organisation HQs. It is within this wholly militaristic environment that Heidemarie was brought up in. As a girl, her tutors and family members all told her that she was expected to uphold their tradition as soldiers and as leaders. She was to be proud of the fact that their family has managed to survive and retain their pre Thanatos title and privileges. She was to act as the shield for the people and the illuminating light for the enlisted men to follow. Through this mindset, her mind was hammered into shape as was her knowledge and her body.

With this ethos in mind, Heidemarie pounded away at life, leading by excellence. She was born better than others, therefore she was noblesse obliged to help and lead the common people. It really didnt help that she was quite gifted in both departments, which eventually leads to her first major obstacles later on. However, for now, Heidemarie fitted the exact stereotype of a textbook noble. Prideful, severe and serving justice to the tee. The one slight bump in her social life was that this "serving justice" part extended beyond the common rabble, but onto her noble peers. As a result, her standing amongst nobility is split between those that admire her uprightness and those that loathe her nosiness.

When she was 18, Heidemarie graduated from officers training. Through lengthy research and discussion with her family, Heidemarie had gone with mechanized warfare. In particularly, tanks. As a fresh Leutnant, she was assigned to command a single tank part of the
503rd Schwere Panzerabteilung/ heavy tank battallion of the 1st Panzer Division. The first of her hurdles originated here. It was Heidemarie's first time interacting for any extended period of time with the enlisted. Worst is, these were experienced enlisted men. Heidemarie's mindset was set on perfect execution of orders and tactics. The problem was that despite her being able to perform each position extremely well, she had placed these exact same expectation on her subordinates. They were competent, but were experienced in team work and in factoring unexpected external factors that occur frequently on the field. The result was a disaster. On their first contact with enemies, she failed miserably in coordinating effectively with the platoon and even her own crew. She applied textbook tactics as she spotted the situations through her scopes and while it worked to a certain degree, claiming several kills, it was only through "butter bar" ordering and coercion on her crew. The result was a victory but her platoon's tank took more damage since she had moved out of position and did not factor in that the live battlefield is much different from the textbooks. Thusly, she was quickly nicknamed as "Butter bars" by the platoon.

Like most people, Heidemarie found it hard to instantly accept the fact that her approach is wrong, particularly since she was brought up thinking she was born superior and the fact that she has never really failed in anything. As a result, it took three years of combat, tough experiences and failures and the occasinal success to harden her up and to change her personality and her train of thought. By then, she was no longer the "butter bar" from school, but a genuine Leutnant. In actual fact, her platoon showed their acceptance of her when they congratulated her promotion to Oberleutnant by actually calling her rank.

Now with experience and the cooperation of her men under her, Heidemarie's skills in combat and leadership rose exponentially, earning her another quick promotion to Hauptman at 22 and replacing the old commander of the 3rd platoon. Due to long and extensive periods out on the field, the changes to her usual personality was quite noticeable by the socialites. In their eyes, she had become less refined and more rough around the edges. Heidemarie cared not for what the others thought of her, as long as she had her responsibilities done. In terms of military (and the only one she cared about) she was succeeding in spades, with a moniker of her own and respect all across the board as a budding talent.

As of now, the 1st Panzer Division is on stand by and with not much to do at hand besides regular maintenance, Heidemarie has quite a bit of free time to do as she please.

Personally, she kind of reminds me of a certain character I've seen before somewhere...can't put my finger on whom. :hmm:

Other than the nitpick, the only other thing I would want you to do is to try and expand on the history, I'm actually a little curious about how long she has gone on to invent and what inspired her to do so.

There. Done. I didn't want to put it under 'Story' since I wrote that part in a style that was different than what I am planning to write in. That's why I wrote it under 'Background'. Hope that is fine with you. While on that note, I also created an 'Inventor's Guild', claiming that it counts amongst its members famous inventors. I am hoping that is also acceptable.

From simply looking at Livith, one can gather that she’s an extraordinarily high class woman. While this is true, it should be noted that it doesn’t much reflect on her overall personality. Livith dresses in a lot of black, but this isn’t a statement in the slightest. Her dress is rather big and long, ensuring that it covers much if not most of her skin. That being said, the long and flowing portions of her dress make it difficult for her to run or even climb stairs.

Her hair is white, but it should be noted that it’s clearly not natural. Years of practicing magic has simply forced it white. She wears quite a bit of make-up around her eyes. Her hat, a black top-hat is almost always upon her head. The goggles on them she wears when casting larger spells that mostly have to deal with lightning.

She weighs around 110 pounds, but doesn’t much care to weigh herself at all. Though she’s only 5 foot five, she wears heels often which make her around 5 foot 9. Often enough, one hears her coming due to the sounds of her heels along the ground. However, she’ll quickly take those off when traversing through wilderness. Her eyes are an emerald green.

Personality: Livith is an extraordinarily “no nonsense” type of individual. Due to this, it’s not exactly hard to get on her bad side, and she is the type of person to let you know when you have done so. In a way, she’s very much a sociopath, as she doesn’t recognize when she’s hurting someone, and when she does realize, she mostly doesn’t care. If she had to chose between saving a group of people she considered to be friends, or quickly running into the next room to save her own ass while claiming a jewel worth millions… she would honestly have to stop and think about it.

As stated before, it isn’t hard to get on Livith’s nerves. However, the shear amount of things that just so happen to do this is extraordinary. People that make bad tea, people that speak too much, people that brag or show off, people with long names, etc. Essentially, having a personality is something that can piss Livith off. It should be noted that Livith isn’t necessarily a bad person; people just aren’t something she’s interested in. While she loves animals, magic, and inventions, she cares nothing for people or the people behind the inventions that she loves.

Due to this, her personality can be rather blunt. She’s honest and quick to the point. She doesn’t mind just straight up walking up to a person, calling them a piece of shit, and then walking away unaware that she’s hurt their feelings. To people that she does call friends, she does find herself pulling punches. However, while they call her friend, she views them as acquaintances. If asked, Livith will tell someone that she has never had a real friend. She will then, in turn, list off everything wrong with the individuals that she calls acquaintances.

All in all, Livith is rather unpleasant to be around. However, if one can actually get her to call one a friend, they will find a loyal individual somewhere under there.

Weapons/Skills & Abilities: On her side at all times is a rather elegant looking rapier. However, one should note that it looks as if it’s never been used. This is because that it technically hasn’t. Livith uses it as a conductor for her lightning magic. Lightning travels from her hand, through the sword, to her target. After years of practice, Livith finds that her aim is deadly accurate with it.

When not using her rapier to use for lightning, she will shoot it from her hands normally. While not as accurate, it spreads widely. In an open area, she can and will fry everything in it to get to one person. She is also skilled in slight fire magic, but finds the more she spreads herself in the field of magic, the more control she uses (as much as any mage would find). Therefore, she mostly sticks to lightning.

Story: At a young age, Livith took part in a slight school scuffle where she accidentally fired a little bit of lightning from her fingertips. The lightning then struck a young boy, around her age, in the arm. She was promptly expelled to her parent’s dismay. However, she then spent ages refining this gift. Most people have long stories filled with tragedy, most people accomplish great things in their lifetime, Livith simply enjoyed travel and her own talents. There has never been any significant loss in Livith’s life, because she’s never loved anything more than herself.

Her parents are rather well off, and as such so is Livith. She often works on airships with her lightning magic to help power the engines of the more advanced ones. However, she does this more often than not to travel, not due to the need to be paid. She goes where she wants and finds herself rather interested in ruins of old. As for her goals, no one truly knows as she keeps everything to herself.

Most documents regarding her past no longer exist, as she did make an effort to burn them all. No one truly knows why she did this, but it was done nonetheless. However, in simplest terms, she did it simply because she didn’t like the concept of anyone knowing her before she had a chance to judge them first. Livith is what she wants to be seen as: absolutely no one until it matters. However, the one event that she finds she cannot erase from her past was a rather large factory explosion in Alemannia. She and a man were fighting, the man being masked. In their fight, Livith fired a rather large bolt of lightning from her rapier.

The masked man, as well as fourteen others died. To this day, she is still wanted by many Alemannian’s. They called her a monster. They said what she did was evil. Livith failed to understand, claiming that “the ends justified the means”. She had no remorse for those that died in the explosion then, and she has even less of it now. Before, she was often stopped because of this, but she always escaped. It happens much rarely now. These days, she simply continues to travel around the globe as if looking for something, yet making no mention of what it is she’s doing.

Standing in at 5'3 and 120 pounds with a well toned body and a green tail that extends from the tail bone and cat ears that can be seen where human ears are normally, this green haired woman stands strong with a smile that can melt ice in seconds. Personality: Eile is a girl beloved by the public. She enjoys company of others and even takes the time to play with the children of the city she visits. Nothing short of her status, she respects others and is respected back. The real selling point of this woman is her temperament to her twin brother Levont. She tends to be the voice of reason to him.

Weapons: A pair of light weight slim Jian with runic words on it named Lion's Fangs which is attuned to Eile's magical commands.

Skills & Abilities:
*Water Magic: Due to her upbringing, Eile has mastered the Magical art of using water in offense (Sending floods at the enemy, encasing the enemy in water, turning water into ice and hurling it at the enemy, etc) and defense (Generating a fast moving pillar of water to protect herself, freezing water in front of her to block attacks, etc). But due to her status as an Idol, she does not get much chances to fully express her abilities which makes her magical abilities a bit lacking compared to her brother. But when compared to another magic user, she can be considered a master.
*Musical Idol: Eile has superior singing talent compared to her brother. Using that to her advantage, she propelled herself into the musical spotlight as one of the best singers in the country.
*Cooking: One of the benefits of having water magic means she can cook nearly anywhere. Her preferred meals of choice is stew. But she can cook other items if she needs to.

Name: Levont Wiess

Age: 18

Race: gods (Please read the red bold, underlined, parenthesis first before saying anything) (Do not say god as immortal. Gods as a race is mortal. They can die by the same means that would kill a normal human being.) A race of beings that has extraordinarily talent in magic, higher pain threshold, enhanced eyesight, and slightly better stamina the humans. They look like humans for the most part and can most certainly die as one. An interesting note about the gods is that their pupil can literally be shaped as anything. It does not affect their vision. Another interesting note is that as a member of the god race, they can have off springs of other races if their partner is not from their race.

Gender: Male

Faction: Commonwealth of Neo Britannia

Appearance: Levont is on the right. The attires are the same but with some changes. First off, the places where shows yellow is green instead. He has his right eye is emerald green while his left eye is sky blue with pupils that is shaped like a plus sign with green hair. His number tattoo is not there. Standing in at 6' and 180 pounds with a slight tan and a slightly muscular build, this green haired man stands strong with a smirk that fills those around him with unwavering confidence. Personality: Compared to Eile, Levont is a man who loves the company of a few close friends. His smile that eases the tension of his comrades in the times of crisis makes him one of the easiest person to admire and follow. He is down to earth and likes to enjoy the little things when he can get the chance. To Eile, he is the pillar of confidence that she can feel safe with. Another selling point for this green haired man is his unwillingness to surrender against all odds which acts as a moral support to Eile.

Weapons: A long spear with runic words on the shaft named Gungnir which is attuned to Levont's Magical command.

Skills & Abilities:
*Fire Magic: Levont has mastered the magical art of fire. Bending the vengeful wrath of the flames to his will, he can use them to cause large and small scale infernos as well as heat the air around the enemy and many other potential ways only limited to his imagination. Due to attacking archeologist from other countries, Levont's abilities with magic is far superior to Eile.
*Singing: Levont is not the best singer compared to his sister. But due to his exposure to the material, he knows enough about music and singing to back Eile up if she asked him to.
*First aid: Between fighting enemy archeologist and wild animals, Levont learned a great deal about first aid. He can't do major things like on site surgery. But he can, at the very least, splint up broken bones, stitch up cuts, etc.
*Archeologist: Levont's true calling is in examining the ruins of ancient cities and weaponry. Most of the sites ask for him due to his ever extensive knowledge of history and magic.

It was weird to the extent it was. To see a cat girl and a god to be in love with each other. Some might say impossible. But that did not stop these two lovers from falling in love with each other. Vows were exchanges, kisses were given and soon enough, the birth of twins brighten their lives. Emily Wiess and Jack Wiess soon enjoyed the birth of their two new children Eile and Levont.

From the early ages of their lives, Eile and Levont Wiess stood out as nearly inseparable. They ate together. They went played together. Sometimes, they even played pranks on the town at times. But that didn't stop them from learning magic at the age 7. Their parents, both great mages at the time taught them both about the Magitek and magic. Their personalities sprang forth in the types of magic they decided to pick up. Levont with fire and Eile with magic. At the same time, both of them started to take lessons in what interested them as well as weapons fighting. This kept them occupied until the age of 14.

Eile's side: At that time, an audition came into town and under the encouraging words of Levont, Eile tried out. She passed it with ease. A few days later, Eile received information from the auditions that said that she would have to travel with a mix band of men and women and that she was given a week's time to put her affairs in order. Returning to her parents and Levont, she told them about what was going to happen. Eile's parents was happy and sad at the same time. It was at this time, they brought out a box. Inside it was two Jian swords. Eile's parents then gone on to state that the weapons in the box were made for her.

"When you don't have your brother around, let these two swords be your protection. Make sure your enemies fear these Lion's Fangs."

Eile nodded and smiled as she took them as she started to prepare for her musical debut.

Levont's side: Just after leaving Eile at the audition, Levont saw a group of Britannia government officials and an archeologist standing off to the side. One of the carriage broke and several scrolls and books fell out of the carriage. Picking one up, Levont walked over to them officials, all while reading the book. After handing the book back, he then started asking a few questions about the book itself. The archeologist stepped out to see Levont and smiled. He was very impressed with the boy. At only his age and understanding much of the book he read already, he quickly conversed with the officials and made an offer to Levont to train under him. Levont wanted to ask his parents on that. The Officials agreed with his request and stated that he had a week to get everything set before coming back with an answer. Running back to his parent's house, he quickly told them everything that happened. Both parents were proud of him, wanting to learn about the past. The mother left the room and came back in with a slim and long box. Levont opened it to find a spear with the runic words on it.

"Gungnir. The spear that will pierce the past and let flow the knowledge of ages past."

Levont took the spear and started to prepare for his departure and apprenticeship.

One week passed and both of them stood outside of their house. Saying their goodbyes, Eile and Levont part ways as they promised to keep in touch with each other and their parents through mail. 4 years has passed as history began to spin for the twins.
