The Final Fantasy Forums front page is a hub for all the latest Square Enix news and our own community events. That includes you! Want a chance to be featured? Be the first to break a new story and your name could be on the front page!

To maintain a consistent standard of quality, staff will be looking for posts which follow the guidelines outlined on this page. Please make sure your content complies before submitting. Front-page content is subject to higher scrutiny than normal forum posts, and staff reserves the right to edit submissions for accuracy.

Overview:

Members can submit both original news content as well as analysis and opinion pieces. Submissions should be posted in the User-Submitted News section of the forums. Staff will monitor this section and promote quality content to the front page.

Acceptable topics include:
  • Information about new games and media within the Final Fantasy franchise
  • Other Square Enix game or company news
  • Other game or company news which may be of interest to the community (e.g. Mistwalker or JP Games, founded by former Final Fantasy creators)
  • Original game reviews
  • Original feature articles relevant to the community (e.g. FFF Mythology Manual)

Guidelines:
  • All news submissions must include a link to at least one reputable news source. Other sources may be labeled as rumor.
    • Other types of submissions should also link to sources where relevant (e.g. images, references, etc.)
  • Sources may be referenced and quoted, but not copied. You must write an original response in addition to the link being cited to be considered for front-page promotion. Your response can be journalistic, analysis and opinion, or a summary.
  • Try to write at least a few hundred words. Not all news stories demand a long-form article, but readers should be informed by your content alone whether or not they follow the source link.
  • Use spell check! We understand that English is not everyone's first language, but as an English-language forum, news content is expected to be grammatically correct and clearly written.
  • Please include at least one image with your post. However, staff may add or replace images as needed for best front-page formatting.
