Why hello, everyone! It sure has been a while! In the past, some folks around here enjoyed my FF song covers, so I thought I'd pop back in to share my latest!
As a PC player, I'm (im)patiently waiting for FFVII Rebirth still, but I couldn't avoid hearing this song and falling instantly in love...
I'd guess it's probably down to the engine more than the PS3's architecture. An x86 port already exists on PC, and they'd probably use that as a base for PS4/5 instead of PS3.
Having modded the game on both systems, I can tell you there's some unique stuff in the PS3 version. Like, the...
I'm still so confused about what this game actually is haha. The story hints are obvious enough, but the promotions so far are puzzling.
In any case, it's releasing on my birthday, so maybe this will end up being a gift from Square Enix. :p
I feel like this trailer went so deep it was shallow (in a good way). Like they pulled bits from so many different parts of a huge narrative that it's impossible to put the pieces together yet. All we can do is imagine!
The foundation looks strong, though. While FFXV's re-reveal was exciting...
That's very interesting! Her comments definitely reflect similar ideas to what I've been thinking about. Also interesting that she'd bring up Liara from Mass Effect too, since that's another game that had a very similar place in my life at the time.
Videogames have played a strangely significant role in my life. By now I'm at the age where it's a little embarrassing to admit, but I firmly believe there's no shame in saying so. Something about the kind of stories videogames are apt to tell has resonated with me on more than one occasion in...

If you're one of Final Fantasy XIV's now-16 million registered users, this one's for you. Square Enix has teamed up with multimedia news outlet ScreenRant for an official giveaway of one Meister Quality figure of Ultima, the High Seraph, and there's 20 days left to make it yours!
The full kit...
Widescreen isn't going to happen because of pre-rendered backgrounds, so you'll be stuck with 4:3, but you can use higher resolutions out of the box on the PC version, IIRC. I don't actually have VII on PC myself, but I am aware of its modding scene. There's some pretty incredible options...
WWOAAHH that's a lot of content! And top-quality stuff from start to finish! Well, ok, I haven't read it all word-for-word just yet, but even after a breeze through I can see how much effort and quality was put into it. Amazing work, everyone!
My save files are all way past chapter 3, but there seems to be someone who uploaded theirs in this Steam discussion thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/637650/discussions/0/1697167168521105563/
They used a kind of sketchy filehost, so try at your own risk.
Aaaaand that's the game!
@Linnaete takes 1st prize, followed by @Galadín in 2nd and @Espurr in third. Congratulations to our winners! :yay:
Also, as I recall, our last Birthweek poem also ended on a note about Greeny. Conspiracy?? :hmmm:
Anyhow, here's the completed poem from this year's...
"Ya'll should calm down," said Cindy, "they're probably making a VR game about me."
While Adri shouted at the protesters "How bad could this game be?"
Meanwhile Square Enix has already considered this idea.
Along with a spin-off game staring the one and only Shiva!!
But only one week was left...
This poem will be featured in the next FFF Magazine Issue so please make this good.
"You mean we need to stay family-friendly?" said Linnaete. "Well, we could..."
In chimed Six for a defiance fix: "But that doesn't mean we should!"
Then Espurr added, "I don't think that we should. Like we all...
