I had got FFIX & FFX together for Christmas 2011 (I'm only a little over a year into my FF fandom XD) and I remember really wanting to play X. So I decided to start IX as a way to "get it out the way" and just finish it.

As soon as I started running around with Vivi and I got mugged for some Gil, I fell in love with the game. I never looked back after that.

I see what you mean about the personality differences between Tidus and Cloud, Squall, Lightning. I guess we got our two happy protagonist with Tidus and Vaan. It looks like with the new games, we're going back into Cloud territory. We already have Lightning, who's attitude is pretty similar to Cloud. Noctis seems pretty dark too.

I guess time will tell as far as future characters goes.

Which FF game is your favorite? My personal favorite is FFIX. I'm currently playing FFX (PS2 ) right now.

I don't find Tidus annoying. A lot of reviews I've read found him to be annoying. My favorite character so far is Lulu. My least favorite is Auron. He just seems boring.
