Agree 100%. I am not going to spend $ on battles to recruit some monster after I have already gotten all 160 fragments... That is a complete waste of money.
I get it Setz- as I said I would only want it if they continue to improve. One reason is I feel like FF13vs is never gonna happen and 15 is way out in the distance, so a 13-3 would be quick and hold me over.
But I have no problem with your position.
I wouldn't mind an ff13-3, i thought 13-2's game play was a better experience and had more fun than 13. If they continue in that direction I am ok with it, and ofcourse fixing the plot so that things make sense and have a real ending.
This review is pretty easy actually.
Gameplay- really good 4/5, battle system is better than 13's. The choice of 1 of 3 monsters as the 3rd member really makes you think about your paradigms. It is fun and yet challenging. I enjoyed the addition of real side quests. I also thought it was cool...
some of them are needed (paradoxscope, battlemania), only a few are useful (monster collector, mog"s manifestation), and others are worthless (rolling in cp, eyes of godess, mobile mog, chocobo music).
I think the yearly rapid fire releases did lead to better games. Its almost as if because they knew another one was coming out they took more risks (plot of 7, the environment/miliue of 8, the throwback of 9 [at time not everyone was doing fantasy setting], 11 was first MMO, 10-2 was first...
Yeah, spoiler about beating the proto-fal'cie
Alyssa spoiler right before you leave academia 4XX,
spoiler New Bresha Ruins sidequest (I have not done academia 500yet).
You missed the point- I don't mean it has to be those 2 weeks, I am just saying that looking at the ranking is meaningless.
If your hypothesis is correct, and 13-2 does comparably then you can say its a conservative estimate?
For instance, 13-2 on ps3 would've been the at least the #3 seller...
The relative #'s are irrelevant for this type of conversation, so looking at the ranks is worthless. You have to compare total units sold- that would "adjust" for the fact nothing else came out that week. If you compare number sold during first week of 13-2 to the top games from the weeks...
I got Lightening on my 11th try. Which is 1/22 which means they probably have about a 5% join rate (1/20)| given I represent the average. This is without the fragment skill to help.
After beating them twice I haven't been able to- I feel like they got better or something. 1% thats f*cking absurd, why the hell would they make it that low? Who wants to do the same fight 200 times... You got to be kidding me.
