    CWOTM #1: Voting.

I find there to be a lot more passion in the poem; more memorable to me.

Marvel "Civil War"-What do you want to see?

The Fantastic Four can't appear in any Marvel studios films for the foreseeable future as Fox also own the rights to them. If rumours are to be believed then they're going to be trying to establish a cinematic universe involving them and X-Men. Thanos has also been confirmed to not appear...

    Ant-Man

Ronan the Accuser will not be back for Guardians 2. Nebula, however, will be although we're not sure yet in what capacity exactly. Red Skull is technically still a very big possibility as Hugo Weaving is contracted for another two films. I've not managed to catch Ant-Man yet, I'll probably see...

    [CWOTM] Information & Discussion

I'm working hard on something, but obviously my day to day life gets in the way quite often. I'll hopefully have a finished piece to submit in time; I don't think two weeks is unrealistic to get it done. I'm loving writing again

Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer

An interesting little thing that turned up online post-Comic Con from Guillermo del Toro; http://www.slashfilm.com/guillermo-del-toro-star-wars/ I think everyone would love this to happen, but maybe just doesn't know it. Jabba is one of those characters that you never think more about than...

    [V2] Last Movie You've Seen

Oculus I was after something simple to watch, and I'd missed this at the cinema. I do like a good trashy horror film, and this was a little above that level. It's about a brother and sister that go back to their childhood home to destroy a haunted mirror that killed their parents when they were...

    [CWOTM] Information & Discussion

What are we saying is the maximum/minimum acceptable word count? Is 3000 the maximum, or do we just have to be somewhere in that region?

    Writing Competition Schedule: Poll

Ah okay in that case I agree. I thought you meant displaying each one in an individual thread for voting.

    Writing Competition Schedule: Poll

If we do have separate threads though, it might start to look quite messy. Presumably there'll also be a further thread where people actually cast their vote as well? It seems like adding a lot of cogs to the wheel to me

    [Interest Check] Writing Competitions

The biggest problem I can see at this point is probably getting a good amount of voters. Apart from those entering and maybe one or two others, I don't think most members will be interested in reading several pieces. I don't really have any bright ideas to incentivise people to vote to be...

    Word Limit Writing Competition: Poll

I would say 2000-3000 is best. It seems that's what most people are comfortable with, and while it's not a massive amount, it's enough to give people room to write something properly. Plus if it looks like it isn't working out it could be reviewed in future?
  12. Jack's Smirking Revenge

    Writing Competition Schedule: Poll

I think if we do it every other month then they're too far between. It needs to be done semi-regularly so that people are more aware of it.

    [Interest Check] Writing Competitions

Fan fiction isn't really my thing so I wouldn't be particularly bothered about that. Other than that though I'm happy with just about anything. I think making it a monthly competition would probably work best; that should allow enough time I'd say.

[Birthweek 2015] Writing Competition: Expanding the Universe!

Ha that would be pretty cool. :lew: I'd quite like to see writing competitions become a more regular thing if there was interest from other members though. I find something like that motivates me well to write, and it's something I miss doing at times. We've never had a good track record with...

[Birthweek 2015] Writing Competition: Expanding the Universe!

It's something I would be interested in, but I'm not really into writing fan fiction. Also doesn't seem all that much point if I'll be the only one :lew:

    Jurassic World franchise

Suitably impressed. The best of the Jurassic sequels without a doubt. Chris Pratt is just as charming and likeable as ever, and in a small way it felt almost like a Spielberg film. It was nice seeing the little references to the original - the return of Henry Woo, seeing the original visitor's...

    Avengers: Age of Ultron

I suppose it could just focus on people saying there should be more control and regulations imposed on superheroes because of all the destruction they cause. Look at what happened in Wakanda when Iron Man took on The Hulk - surely someone must have been pretty seriously injured in that...

    Avengers: Age of Ultron

They may as well have just had Thor return and tell them they should trust Tony this time "BECAUSE EXPOSITION." It's a shame that they cut so much of that because it sort of cheapened the whole scene when Vision was created. And on the subject of Vision; he reminded me so much of Dr. Manhattan...

    Avengers: Age of Ultron

I get all that, but it felt like a very forced link to Wakanda in terms of Age of Ultron. It felt like quite an unnatural progression to even need to go there. I think that's the problem with Black Widow. She's there to be the 100% good character. I think there's room for expansion, but she's...

    Avengers: Age of Ultron

I think it suffers from the Matrix Sequel Effect. We've seen it (the team up) before, so it doesn't quite have the same cool effect it had three years ago when it was new. Not that I didn't enjoy it, it was still an excellent and enjoyable film, it just didn't quite live up to its predecessor...
