Here's another thing, if Jecht and Tidus were dreams of the fayth. Why didn't the fayth just stop dreaming. Jecht would go away and Sin would be gone forever. Considering Sin is always the final summoning of another summoner. I know the fayth did stop dreaming but the whole adventure of Tidus...
