I actually agree with you. I love Final Fantasy and all to death, but Square Enix hasn't been doing very well for the past few years with their games. It's like they don't put much thought into what their games are going to be composed of anymore. The second it has a label "Final Fantasy __"...
That's odd. I actually never really noticed that until you mentioned it. It's confusing how Square Enix makes their products because they're not included in the game ending, yet they're in Advent Children and DoC. I guess it didn't really faze me because they were optional characters.
My two favorite are Shiva and Odin. I just love Shiva's element; ice and Odin's attack is unique with the horse and all. He just looks cool for me haha.

Some of my friends hate it ever since they started making the new Final Fantasies. They were fine with it up to 9 like me, but now they think it's overrated and overplayed. There's not much thought put into the games anymore, so I can't really blame them for disliking it.
Crisis Core was a pretty awesome game overall. I liked the plot and the characters, but what do you think could have been done better? I think that the battle system should have had more thought into it, rather than have random limit breaks here and there. It seemed kind of messy.
Absolutely! It was one of my favorite Square Enix games since FF9. The plot was good, the music was great and the characters were well built. Although it did have some flaws like all games do, I give it an 8.5/10. You should really give it a try, it's exciting :)
"The Man With the Machine Gun" it gets me so excited. Adrenaline runs through my veins! (No not that excited :P)

It could have been more romantic because the romance in it wasn't too bad overall. Sure they had a love triangle and all, but it wasn't like Aerith was going, "GET OFF MY MAN!" and Tifa doing the same to her. In fact, it was just here and there that Tifa would kind of hint she liked him and...
