I agree that Vaan is irrelevant, but I disagree about Penelo - Penelo feels more irrelevant than she is, I think, because a lot of her role (the 'outsider', who isn't a part of the political intrigue, who can have things explained to her in the audience's stead, who presents a simpler view of...
Hey, these are really good. I can't comment on whether you've misrepresented or represented them well, unfortunately, since they're not songs I know, but I enjoyed listening to them and I'll definitely be watching this space to see more.
I enjoyed it. It was fun, it never really got repetitive, there was good stuff there. Like all KH games, it kind of - didn't make a massive amount of sense, but at this point, the plot of KH is a tangled, absurd skein anyway, because Nomura is not a very good writer.
Also, I don't know if someone's already mentioned this, but I get the impression that when Sephiroth talks about Jenova being his mother, he's not being literal. He doesn't actually believe that someone impregnated Jenova and she carried him to term, but he's had Jenova cells injected into him...
Real talk, guys, I think we all know that Lulu is a mermaid.
She uses magic to float.
Speaking of Lulu, why on earth did she decide to wear a skirt made of belts? Does she just never get undressed to wash, or does the party spend three hours every morning waiting for her to remake her skirt...
Oh god, I don't think I really own that many nerdy things.
My sister, however, does have a collection of Sentai and Kamen Rider henshin devices and display figures. I am envious of it. Deeply, painfully envious.
That - doesn't even make any sense, Skybringr.
Literally, no way I can respond to that, because not only does it not really parse as a sentence, the sentiment behind it doesn't make any sense. How on earth is the UK showing that the US is right to have people bearing arms by not having people...
It was apparently after he saw Les Miserables, and Les Miserables wasn't released in Japan until - well, it came out in cinemas in late July 2013, and out on DVD in Autumn/Winter 2013.
EDIT: The film with Hugh Jackman, I mean. Not the musical. Or the book.
So, there's not going to be any news about XV at E3.
Look. Look at how surprised I am. So surprised. Such shock. Much alarm. Wow.
Increasingly, I just feel like Square-Enix needs to take Tetsuya Nomura out to the grassy meadow and tell him to think of happy things. He's produced three games...
Rikku's mixes were key for me in these last few battles. She has one 'Trio of 9999', which is an absolute must if you don't have Celestial Weapons and damage limits broken: It will cause not only all your characters to do 9999 damage, but also all healing items to heal the same. Two Wings to...
Laguna's not only twice as charismatic, he also seems more - competent, to be honest. Squall has a tendency to dismiss things that should really be cause for concern, like randomly falling asleep, whereas Laguna is much more alarmed by Squall's jaunts to the past.
My favourite dialogue from the...
Yeah, I think the nail has kind of been hit on the head there: It's not a game with a strong or particularly coherent storyline, it's fanservice game where the main draw is the spectacle of the crossover. That doesn't make it a bad game, by any means: It knows exactly what it is and it plays its...
The last time I got drunk it was not a pretty sight, so at the moment the answer is 'nothing'. In general, though, I do like rum and irish cream liquor a lot.
Laguna is tragic for much the same reason that Zack Fair is tragic (and I think they're both some of the most tragic characters in the franchise), because he is so happy-go-lucky, and life just never stops battering at them. Laguna's a perky, positive guy, but everyone he loves dies or is...
My bet is on Final Fantasy XV materialising approximately never. Hell, apparently at the end of last year it was still up-in-the-air enough that Tetsuya Nomura tried to demand it be completely reworked into a musical, I have no faith in anything existing of this game except a trailer.
I wouldn't be against it, but I profess I don't really see the point. Would it really add anything worthwhile to the story, the gameplay, etc? I don't think it would, because you can handle mature themes like politics, war, the cycle of violence, etc, without pushing that adult rating.
You know, I never actually said that the story works. I said it was incoherent, I believe, actually. I just said the game works. Truth is, though, I don't think the gameplay is especially good either: It has a ticking clock, just to start, which is usually the death of good gameplay.
I'll grant it's not a good game, I just think that in the fierce race to the bottom that is the 13 series, which is utterly dire, for which I found the first painfully bad and the second tolerable but not good, it - works. In a strange way. Even though I don't think it really should.
I am...
