Today is a fantastic day for fans of Yoshitaka Amano as Dark Horse are going to publish a new artbook to showcase his work called The Sky: The Art of Final Fantasy.

This will be a toned down version of another collection called The Sky, which was released in 2001 in Japan. The same collection came to the West last October, but Dark Horse is now releasing a slightly smaller collection specifically geared at Final Fantasy fans.

Referred to as the Slipcased Edition, this collection contains Final Fantasy characters from the first ten games spread across books titled Sky I, II and III. Collectively, these books contain 576 pages worth of artistic goodness, so you're definitely getting some bang for your buck.

The collection is due for release on the 2nd of July, 2013 in both the UK and US. It will cost $58.51 in the US, which is actually 35 percent off and £65.00.

Thats pretty cheap imo for that many pages of wonderful artwork. Its totally worth it. Just to collect or just to get inspiration for your own drawings etc.

Wonderful. A game you can play several times but this book you can have for a much longer time.

This was released a few months ago... o_O I have the boxset of artbooks myself! :lew: Is this a second Western release? :hmmm:

Edit: Ah, a slipcased version! No interview with Amano booklet? :sad3:
