Chrono Trigger is a week away from its Wii debut. Square Enix announced the Super Nintendo classic will be available on May 16 for 800 Wii Points ($8). This is the original version of Chrono Trigger, which means no animated cutscenes or extra dungeon leading to a depressing ending.
Still the same story, which beings with Crono’s Mom waking her lazy son up so he can see Lucca’s wacky teleporting invention at the Millennium Fair. Luckily, Crono carries a wood sword with him because he’s whisked away to a hostile forest in 600 A.D. with imps and rolypolys.
Will Crono save the world from destruction in 1999 (of course he did, we’re still here) or will he turn into a dinosaur? That decision is up to you.
