Artnia, the Square Enix cafe where you can drink alcoholic materia and chocobo lattes, is becoming the place to go to for Square Enix fans. They had a Final Fantasy VIII art exhibit in April and starting this week, there’s a Vagrant Story art showcase.

You can get Vagrant Story drinks too. Riskbreaker (left) is said to be a refreshing drink with soda, mint, and a sweet & sour base. The non-alcoholic cocktail is made from cranberry juice, lemon, mint, soda, and grenadine syrup. Leá Monde (right) is an alcoholic beverage made with cassis, white wine, grenadine syrup, soda, lemon, and mint.

If you’re in Tokyo, Artnia is just a subway train away located in Shinjuku’s Eastside Square building.

If you’re planning to visit Tokyo, you can get a stack of strawberry pancakes and a cappuccino with chocobo foam art. Those are some of the items Artnia, the Square Enix cafe, serves up.

Artnia also serves cocktails based on summons and materia. Saturday night drink recipes anyone?

Shiva
Based on the summon creature Shiva, this is a short cocktail with the aroma of lychee.(Contains: white rum, white curacao, lychee, lemon juice)*This drink has high alcohol content by volume.

Ifrit
Based on the summon creature Ifrit, this is a long cocktail with orange and blackcurrant flavors.(Contains: white rum, white curacao, orange juice, creme de cassis)

Elixir
This highball is made using the medicinal plant based liquor Elixir Vegetal, and it has a dry finish.(Contains: white rum, mint, rosemary, Elixir Vegetal, soda, lime)

Blue Materia
A cocktail based on the Materia.(Contains: gin, lime juice, blue curacao)

Red Materia
A cocktail based on the Materia(Contains: gin, lime juice, creme de cassis)

Potions and High Potions are non-alcoholic beverages with mint, honey, lime, and soda. I guess it’s the white rum, Elixir Vegetal, and rosemary that restores HP and MP.

Damn you Japan! :rage: Why do they get to have all of this cool shit?!? (I know why, calm down :wacky: ). It's early morning over here (8AM is not only early for me, but quite frankly bullshit), and looking at these really made me want one, even before eating any food. C'mon, Lime, Soda, Honey, mint, cranberry juice, it all sounds so good. :sad3: Oh, the chocobo things were cool too. *goes back to staring at alcoholic beverage*

Yes you should check out.siliconera more often. The only new artnia info is the vagrant story. Ive known most of.this. i should post more square enix news if people are just getting wind of this

Seems pretty cool, but part of me thinks this is just some kind of gimmick in which there is nothing actually special about these drinks at all other than them being named after things from Final Fantasy. :hmmm:

That Elixir does look refreshing, though.

haha, this is the coolest thing ever :lew: i find it so cute and fun that they built this place where people can become completely lost in the world of ff. :ryan:i wasn't expecting them to release alcoholic drinks but it's good that they have, more people will go there now.

Hehe. I would love to drink that Elixir one. It looks the most tasty. Yeah, Siliconera tend to have weird stuff out there. It could be dinners with developers, food based on video games, etc. I hope to come across a place like that if I ever go to Japan someday.
