[17/05] FF Tactics: War Of The Lions For iPad (and iPhone)

Once upon a time, Square Enix announced a port of Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions for the iPhone. Information on the iPhone release has been scarce, and Square haven’t talked much about the game since then. Today, however, they announced that it will be released “somewhere between late June – mid July”.

Additionally, Square have also announced a separate high-res port of the game for the iPad, which will be released sometime after the iPhone version, due to the art being reworked for high-definition support. They posted an example of redrawn high-res face graphics being used for the iPad version:

Seems like a good game for the iPad! I already have this on the PSP though, but I like how Square Enix is trying to make their games available on as many platforms as possible. The more people that can play = the more games Square Enix can make for us

I can't wait for this release for the iphone! They have delayed it for too long.

I remembered playing the original FF tactics when I was young, but couldn't get past the first battle for some reasons. Very curious to try out and beat the game once it comes out, hearing that it has a good storyline.

Also looking forward to chaos rings omega and chaos rings II. I hope they re-release FFIV-VI for the iOS in the future too.
