The Warning System
The warning system is used by the moderators and staff of Final Fantasy Forums to ensure that the rules of the forums are not being violated. Warning points can be added to an account if the user violates rules. After having reached 30 warning points, a user will be permanently banned.
How to remove a warning/how warnings are purged
All warnings are now permanent and will not expire.
Thread Closure
A thread can be closed for a variety of reasons. However, you will not necessarily be warned if your thread gets closed. A thread may be closed for being a duplicate, or may be too old and has no recent replies, or may be inappropriate.
However, you will get warned accordingly if your thread is inappropriate and contributes to spam or flaming. If you repeatedly create the same threads after closing them, you may also be warned.
Staff reserve the right to close any thread for any reason and are entitled to warn any member as they see fit. Each member of staff will have unique standards, but will all follow the rules. Leniency can and does occur with most staff, however.
If you have been warned/your thread has been closed, do not argue in public. Instead, take your issues or questions to the Private Message (PM) system. Spamming up the boards with arguments will result in further warnings.
