Alt-tab in FF7 PC leads to black screen

Hi,
I'm running FF7 PC on Windows XP on a Mac. When I alt tab to the desktop the midi music continues but when I return to ff7 it goes black. Any ideas?

switching game resolution and ur usual desktop resolution to be same might help. never played pc version so sorry if gave pointless advice^^

This happens for a lot of PC games, and I don't know if there's a particular fix for it. If you really need to do it you might be able to play the game in windowed mode.
