Well youv probadly never heard of him but the guys a bit of a genius. Ive recently attepted to learn his song drifting on guitar and its driving me mad. He writes all his own music and his style of guitar is very different to what youd normally see.
This is a link to a song of his. Even if your not a fan of guitar you should check this out, its really something else. Im trying to learn this but failng bad.
Anyone heard of em? Whaddya all think?

I knew you were gonna post this, Lewis. :wacky:

I've been obsession over him, and had to send you the two songs I got off of YouTube.

I think he's great. Rylynn, and Drifting are gorgeous melodies, and I'm absolutely in love with the sound he has coming out of his guitar. :ryan: He's really awesome.

I remember seeing his stuff a while back and it still strikes me how good he is, even now. He's definitely one of the most fluent acoustic guitar players I've ever seen, his playing style is so pleasant to the ear. It's a shame he doesn't put himself out more because he really doesn't get as much attention as he deserves.

That song really struck me.

He has excellent finger picking skills, almost like Tim Reynolds from time to time or Warren Haynes. I really admire someone who can pick up a guitar a play such beautiful pieces... I like my music like I like my daily cup of coffee, I need that shiznit.

Anyway I give this guy a 10/10 for good stuff.

Thats my favourite song by him, its so well put together and its just a beautiful piece of music. Also i gave up learning drifting the melody is just to intense and im crap at the whole tapping thing >_< I can do the intro though :griin:

Finnegan III: I understand that everyone has their own opinions, but can you please voice yours in a way that would come across as less offensive to other members. Thank you.

Forgive me, but I fail to see how anyone can find that offensive?

Just said there's no emotion in what he's doing, therefore I am unimpressed.

I really don't see why there needs to be arguing with a moderator going on in this thread. Finn, please. It's great that you're back and all that but can you try to behave yourself this time around?

Did you listen to his ''for my father'' Finnegan? I think thats a better song. Give it a go you might think differently about it.
On another note i totally gave up learning this song :lew: too damn hard for my brain and fingers.

For My Father definitely touched me. I think his talent isn't in the finger skills, he's more of a composer, I think. I've heard of a lot musicians who are good at finger picking but are really just doodling. His talent is in his composing. I loved the melody of Heather's Song and Rylynn.

I was sent the link to his youtube 2-3 years ago by a friend. He's gained a little more popularity since then, but I still think he could use more publicity. I think his music is beautiful and heartfelt.

Who's arguing? I'm being pretty well behaved for my standards, I wouldn't find what I said offensive, just stimulating some discussion about this Andy chap.

I feel there is no emotion in his songs, it's just pointless noodling. If you're offended by that, you have sensitivity issues.

Since when did you all get so uptight anyways, used to be a little bit more laid back.
