Anyone else think Jecht was one of the coolest bosses?

I'm re-opening this. It seems fine to leave be as a topic for discussion.

I only find Jecht to be visually impressive, and awesome in concept. The Final Aeon was so built up throughout the main storyline, that fighting him in the end was incredible. Albeit disappointing, but the concept was still great. xD

thanx for reopening saix! lol i would really like to hear others thoughts on jecht and i really love the fight at the end and i espically like the music thats played! Sir Jecht would have to be my favourite character in all of final fantasy!

I have to say, jecht was not the 'coolest' boss to fight but when you do fight him with the music and the attacks makes it kind of fill you with adrenaline

Jecht as Sin? Oh yeah, he was pretty cool. I agree with Saix too. Visually, he was kinda intimidating since he was huge. However, I don't know about him being the coolest boss in all the FF games. He wasn't extremely hard at all.

I do like the way the game climaxes with the main character fighting his father effectively. The whole 'Sin is Jecht' thing is a nice plot twist early on, and seeing it brought to its conclusion is fun. And there's something amusingly Oedipal in the whole thing if nothing else XD

I would say that the end bosses (including Yu Yevon) were easy. And Jecht didn't make much of an impression, I was actually disappointed. I thought it would be a tad harder. As for appearances, it makes me think what would Tidus or any other guardian looked like, but I guess Jecht was "cool" :nerd:

Meh, he was alright, not really one of my favorites as far as final bosses go and no, I can’t say I found him cool, then again, I never liked Jecht’s character either. :monster:

I thought Jecht was great, and yes, one of the best final bosses--design-wise, at least (my thoughts on which should be apparent in my sculpt of said final boss in my avatar). I loved the way his Final Aeon form intertwined with his human form so well. However, as a final boss, he was a bit of a pushover. In fact, he was probably one of the easiest in the series. Safer Sephiroth, the Undying, Zeromus, Necron, Neo-Exdeath, Kefka...Okay, not as easy as Vegnagun, but pretty easy nonetheless.

Yeah, I would have to agree with that fully. He was a cool boss visually but he wasn't really that tough at all. I was waiting for a huge challenge but all I got was an easy battle instead which was disappointing. He was alright I guess, definitely not my favorite final boss. Yu Yevon was a joke. :P

Yeah, it was a great twist that Tidus would end up battling agasint hsi father, whom he has so much hate for. Plus the music was great in the battle scene lol!

I agree that, visually, he was cool boss. However, he wasn't a boss that left a lasting impression on me; he was very much forgetful. The build up to the fight was nice but the fight itself was extremely easy and dissapointing. He was nothing to write home about.

Am I the only one who had a problem killing Jecht? It took me three tries to kill him ¬_¬

It's easy to find him challenging. However most people comment on how easy they find him after they've taken on the Monster Arena challenge, by which time they're overpowered as it is. So no, you're far from the only one.

As a boss, he was pretty decent actually. I can't remember my first fight with him exactly, but I managed to keep up nicely... I think. xD
