Apologies if this kills your Christmas spirit

....:srsly:?

He should have probably been added to like "Crime Watch" or "Community Watch", or at least investigated, for this informative video. :hmmm:

What the....this is just sick! Nasty Pedos!

That is just, well, fecked up. (Pardon my French!)

They were calling people who disliked the video "moral fags".
It was probably a whole bunch of Pedos and NAMBLA members. (Although NAMBLA is for little boys, I was just well, dang, now I confused myself xD) Couldn't have been anyone else. If you think its okay and do this, then you are a Pedo. :gasp:

Satire - (n.) - the use of irony, sarcasm, ridicule, or the like, in exposing, denouncing, or deriding vice, folly, etc.

And now the reply that really should've appeared here first:

OH MY FUCKING GOD I LOVE OINGO BOINGO =D

(Seriously, Danny Elfman has one of the most amazing singing voices ever.)

Song's less blatant, and probably my favorite sample of his singing =D

(Random note for those who seem unfamiliar with him; he also did Jack's singing voice in Nightmare Before Christmas.)

I... don't care. Singin about little girls, even as a joke, is just fucking wrong. And despite what a few people might think I don't offend easily. But pedaphilia is not something to even JOKE about.

And y'know, as long as controversy-generating topics exist, bands/people WILL make songs about them (I'm looking at you, Rammstein with your tongue-in-cheek songs about incest, cannibalism, and gratuitous sex).

In both cases, if you don't like that song by the group; find another.

Hence, why I don't listen to Oingo Boingo. That was the first song I heard from them and that did it for me. Contrary to belief, I don't go LOOKING for shit to bitch about. Things just tend to blip on my Complain Radar.

Pity. The song's admittedly on several edges, but the majority of their music is quite good and they're one of the vastly underrated bands of the 80's. Honestly if I judged a band entirely based off one song I heard and didn't like, I wouldn't enjoy half the music I do today.

I didn't care for "Nemo" when I first heard it, but that didn't stop me from becoming a huge Nightwish fan.

Ditto Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation", Alice Cooper's "Desperado", Disturbed's "Stupefy", anything off Epica's "Design Your Universe" album", Gorillaz' "Rock the House", Queen's "Fat Bottomed Girls", and Weezer's "Undone - The Sweater Song".

I can honestly say this is the first time I've ever dismissed a musical group for one song. Sorry to any fans of this group but there are some things that just kinda ruin experiences for me.

The song has nothing to do with pedophilia. It has to do with Danny Elfman driving around LA in the '80s and seeing 18-year-old wanna-be actresses hanging on the arms of 40- or 50- or 60-year old directors/producers/studio execs/whatever. So he hyperbolized in order to satirize.

Book, cover, etc.

Really? Okay, fine. That's what it's about. If you'd told me that earlier, I wouldn't have bitched so much.
