This question came to my mind the other day... I want to get some new clothes, and I'm thinking about buying some overalls. I didn't notice until then that Garnet, one of my favorite characters, happens to wear them! :P Do you think that overalls can be cute on a girl? Why or why not?

Err.. it depends on the girl. >_> If I were to wear dungarees I'd just look like a hillbilly. But I guess they could look cute on a girl who's already cute in the first place. :wacky: It'd depend on your general style too and the kind of clothes that usually suit you.

This is an odd question...but I guess it depends on your definition of 'cute'. Maybe if you wore a slim-fitted long-sleeved t-shirt under the overalls it would be okay. But I'm not sure if it really matters depending on what the girl looks like.

entirely depends on the girl wearing them and what they do to accessorise them to not look to hillbilly...if you pull it off expect a few gawking blokes :)

I'd say for the most part. it kind of gives off a sense of innocence which in itself is kinda cute. it doesn't matter how your face is made up or how your hair is or even really your body shape.

I'll give a flat no.

Nothing is cute in overalls. Not even teddy bears. As far as clothing goes, there aren't many outfits I'd conciously avoid. Skirts, anything in leather, and overalls. That's about it.

I'm sure that if you're pretty enough, you can pull of pretty much anything. >.>

They might look better without overalls on. :neomon:
But it would indeed depend on the woman, if it was a big whack off 20st swamp monster in overalls then it would be sickening, however, if it's a stunning, slim, medium length brunette/blonde in overalls...things might be different. :inlove:

Lol odd question indeed. But yeah, it depends on your taste and the girl itself. I myself find overalls quite cute, but not really what you'd call a fashion statement. It definitely doesn't look hot to me, but something more comfortable or somewhere along those lines. It's an okay outfit, that's all I've got to say.

I think so, yeah.

See in this picture (putting aside the fact that the model looks like a goddess.. >.>) EDIT: http://raincoaster.files.wordpress.com/2007/06/overalls.jpg

The overall she's wearing is just so cute. I want it, actually.. <.<
(I think the bottom of that piece is a skirt)

But really, it's finding a hawt piece and in the way you carry the clothes. ^^

Cute: no; sexy: yes.

I think cute would refer to those kind of "aww" reactions and that doesn't seem to suit the image of a woman in overalls. I hear "oaft" and see rapidly-raised eyebrows when I think of the word sexy and that fits the image of a woman in overalls more appropriately.

...as Mitsuki demonstrated above.

Cuteness like attractiveness is of course subjective. I don't really think clothes alter whether someone would be cute or not, except for things like a habit or a short skirt, but they'd have rather opposite effects.
Personally I don't think overalls would make someone cute, sure if someone is attractive enough they could pull it off, but that would make them more beautiful than cute.

I decided to give it a shot and buy a pair... I haven't worn them to school yet, but I've tried them on and I'm in love <3 They're so comfy! Does anyone else ever wear them occasionally?

*well it doesnt really matter what a girl wears, if shes cute then anything she wears will reflect her as a cute girl even if she wears black leather sexy outfits with chains and whips! :) :D weeeeeeeeee :D

*i bet girls will look cute wearing a grass Hawaiian hula skirt :D :D

Yeah definitely, but I mean the girl has to be cute to me before-hand before I think she's cute in a pair of Osh-Gosh-Ba-Gosh's.

Overalls, pajamas, bikini, librarian glasses, sure.
