I dunno... Mitsuki wanted me to start this thread... she'll explain it I guess. this is all I know:

Apparently the guy actually has to have phsyical contact with another woman to make a kid... and that's what this thread is about. So I guess it's more of a debate on the ethical issues. Like should it be allowed or something?

EDIT: so is this a debate about surrogate mothers or something then? Or test tube babies? Or invitro fertilization?

-Sighs- I didn't wanna create this thread. But whatever. It's created. I guess I'll try to explain.

A baby maker makes A LOT of money for giving birth to a child. The thing is, in most cases, married couples or their significant other, usually cannot have a child because the girl is barren, so they may decide to get help from a baby maker. The guy has sex with the baby maker, and 9 months later, she'll give birth to his child and gives the baby to the couples. No strings attached. Then she'll rest for awhile until she's fertile again, and helps other customers.

It's quite sad, actually. But believe it or not, it is actually an occupation. So my question is, to guys - would you actually go as far as that just to have a baby, if in any case your girl cannot have a baby? And girls - would you let your guy have a baby with a baby maker, and not by you?

Keep in mind, the goal or mind set that a baby maker usually has is to bring happiness to a family.

Personally, I would not approve. You could always adopt. I mean, I can understand if my guy really wants a child of his own blood, but as far as going to a baby maker...no.




 
Yeah actually there are a few states that are trying to ban Surrogacy due to after the birth of the child, the surrogate mother wants custody, etc. It can get real weird when there's a sperm donar father involved, a surrogate mother, and then 2 adopting parents. That'd be a lawsuit hellhouse if there was every an argument over custody.

Anyhow, yea, I don't know if I could actually go through with it. Like I would do almost anything to have a child of "my birth" if she couldn't get pregnant... but I don't know if I'd do that. Not that I have a problem with the act itself... but would I be okay with the fact that the child wasn't my wife's and mine. It would technically be some stranger's and mine... and I'm not sure I'm ok with that.

They say that "a child that is made out of passion will turn out to be healthy and strong." So that is why usually the baby maker would not approve of a turkey baster. Meh, maybe she just wants some action? Lol, kidding. :P

Hmm, surrogate mother. Yeah, I like that term better. It's just that...the whole thing started out kinda sudden. -Glares at Aztec- You see, I was watching my soap on T.V. and it was about a baby maker...they used that term a lot. And I was telling Aztec about it...when suddenly I saw that he actually created a thread! So I had to gather my thoughts quickly and explain...

ok, well, its a delicate situation. Personally, if it came down to it and my wife didn't mind, I wouldn't mind the surrogate mother thing. It has my blood and legacy then at least. But if she did mind, hell, why not adopt and save some poor kid

Personally, it depends. Adoption would be my preferred option, but, if my fictional wife refused to go down the adoption route, and wanted to go down the Surrogate Mother route instead...then so be it, even though I'd be uncomfortable with it.
 
I wouldn't want my husband to go and sleep with somebody else just to have a kid. I'd want to adopt if I ended up sterile.

I do understand why people would want to try this option, but it'd be very risky, and it's so personal.... I wouldn't wanna even try.
