Ok if you've ever been to a music festival with multiple stages then chances are that you've been faced with a timetable clash at one time or another. So ITT share which bands have clashed, who you ended up seeing, how you chose which band to see and whether or not you regret the choice you made.
This year at the big day out there were luckily no clashes which really bothered me. But one which made me think for a second and that was The Mars Volta and Jet. I ended up going with the Mars Volta because firstly I think they are a better band. But also because I figured that because Jet is an Australian band they would obviously tour Australia more frequently than Volta, so I would probably have several opportunities to see them in the future. I was definitely happy with my choice, that performance was easily the best live performance that I have attended.
Yesterday I attended Soundwave festival and there was a clash between Placebo and Gallows which was a really tough choice for me. I ended up looking up Placebo's set list that they played at the Sydney Soundwave online and I realized that they only played a few songs that I really liked. So I watched Placebo's set up until they played 'Every You Every Me' at which point I ran to Gallow's stage and I was able to catch their last three songs (which included my two favorite songs). Then I made my way back to Placebo's stage in time to see the last few songs of their set. I was quite happy with my decision, the Gallows made my day even though I only saw three songs and I was able to see both angry British people and angsty British people.
