As we all know, FF8 had some of the greatest cut scenes of all time...or close enough. In your opinion which was the best? If yours isn't listed above, then please vote other and post it.
 
I loved the beginning it was just amazing and it was just soooooooooooo cool
 
I'm going to have to go with the opening as well...every time I watch that movie I feel really pumped afterwards, and not just to play the game, but to be in a friggin' sword fight. lol.
 
i love most of them. the opening has the best music of the whole game (in my opinion anyway) but the most romantic of course is the ball scene. the ending is spactular too tho.
 
I have a save game right before you walk to the ball just so I can watch that scene when I want. I don't know why, but that scene gets to me. I think it might have to do with how much I can cope with it...I feel just like Squall had to when that happened at any type of dance.
 
The opening scene. Not only is it just the best scene in Final Fantasy VIII (in my opinion) but I would also consider it to be one of the best openings to a game aswell. It is brilliant from start to finish.

The SeeD's ball dance was also another great scene and good to watch again.

Mine would be the scene where Squall brakes Rinoa out of the Sorceresses Memorial (the scene the logo is based off of). I love that.
 
I love that scene as well just because its totally the same thing I would do if the love of my life was like that-I would also walk her across that huge damn bridge Squall did-and just how cool the scene is do to his use of the gunblade...
 
Lmao, I know. The gunblade use also boosted up the coolness of the scene right before you fight Edea at the end of disc one, right after Irvine misses his target, and Squall does this Braver-like move from the roof onto the ground.
 
Basically in my opinion, Seifer is just badass...more so then Squall. But Squall definately has his moments, like the one you just mentioned. I love that scene too.

If Seifer and Squall were mixed...it would be like the best uberest character ever. lol
 
The opening scene is one of my favorites, but my all time favorite would have to be The Ball Room Dance Scene. After seeing it, I was in absolute amazement at what the PS1 graphics (at that time) where capable of.
 
The opening movie for me, I still watch it even now just to experience it again. I do have a liking though for the first view of Balamb Garden you get soon (a short cut scene showing the students milling around etc) after the opening too.
 
I think the opening...The opening made me fall in love with the Final Fantasy series.
 
I like a lot of the cutscenes but my favourites would have to be the opening, and the Balamb/Galbadia Garden fight.

The graphics were really cool, and the fact that there were two cool guys fighting in the opening. :D
 
I picked the Opening Scene because it really goes well with the music and seeing Squall and Seifer fight each other was just...wow! I also love the Ballroom Dancing. ^_^ Squall's so cute when clueless, but he caught on eventually...and boy, he dances well!
 
Ugh, I found the opening movie to be quite boring in comparison to some others. As for my favourite, I quite enjoyed the missile launch to Balamb Garden.

It was just... :O
