I've seen a lot of bands over the years, but I'd have to say Aerosmith was most impressive when I saw them a few years ago.

Tell me about the best concert you've attended.

Best I've attended would definitely be Kasabian in Newcastle back in November. Tom Meighan was just born to be the front man of a band like Kasabian; he's got so much natural showmanship and charisma which makes him brilliant with the crowd. He made the atmosphere top class. I think the fact that the Metro Radio Arena is quite small helped a lot too, because I prefer smaller and more intimate gigs like that to big stadium ones.

However, I enjoyed Muse more in Glasgow because I'm a much bigger Muse fan than Kasabian so it was pretty much a massive highlight of my life getting to see them, especially now while they're still going strong and before they pass off into obscurity, á la Richard Ashcroft and The Verve.

And I was there too Poo, can't forget that :monster:

For me, the first time I saw James. Nothing has come close to that. Near the front at the MEN arena. It was just brilliant, the atomosphere was immense. I was jumping around in the most idiotic of heels as well. Tim likes a bit of crowd banter as well which is always good. He got so close :rage:

I'm seeing them in Glasgow this year, missing out on another MEN concert, so it better be fucking good to make up for it :wacky:

I haven't been to many live concerts, but the Weird Al concert for Poodle Hat was pretty well produced. He had plenty of amusing video clips that really added to the music he was playing.

Weird Al Yankovic
First off; the skill this guy has with being able to not only parody songs, but copy their style of singing and playing has no equal. His live shows...are something else entirely. He actually changes costumes for every song; running AlTV interviews, trailers (GANDHI II) and music videos in between; leaving you always happy and never bored.

Perhaps the two best shifts were

A: When he went from being dressed up like James Blunt for "You're Pitiful" to wearing heart boxers, a pink tutu, and a spongebob shirt (removing a layer every verse).

B: He came out to do "The Saga Begins" dressed in Jedi Robes, and as soon as the song finished, he whipped off the robes revealing a Luke Skywalker outfit and did a perfect music transition from the end of "The Saga Begins" to the start of "Yoda".

Weezer
Just saw these guys last night and holy crap did they turn the concert into a party. It's great when a singer and the band can rile up the audience, maybe even dip down to the front rows, etc.

Cuomo went over the top on this one; kicking beach balls out for people to throw around, and wandering the audience until he ended up in the rear grandstand (high fived him as he went through).

By the time he was finished with "Pork and Beans", he was singing it from the roof of a portable toilet.

And to cap off the evening's antics; they covered MGMT's "Kids"....which was interrupted with a verse and chorus from "Poker Face".

Saw The Worx live a few times (they are a local band that play a shit-ton of cover songs) and I guess I liked them alright.

Seeing them live also gave me a lot of enlightenment as a vocalist, as prior to seeing them I'd thought that there were only a few ways in which a vocalist could sing. But this guy was pumping out KISS, Guns N Roses, Linkin Park, Bowling for Soup, Aerosmith, and the list goes on.

It wasn't exactly the highlight of my life, but I enjoyed the show.

Tonight James got knocked off the top spot they had held for so long

Muse this evening were immense. They were ace last time I saw them, but this time, just fucking brilliant

I haven't been to many concerts, to be honest. Actually, now that I think of it, I only went to one concert(yeah im sad xD). however, this one concert was like awesome on a whole new level.

It was in the summer of 2006, July 31st. Projekt Revo was in Marrysville, California(near Sacremento), and there I saw probably the best performances I've ever seen.

First was Placebo, they were just simply amazing. They filled the crowd with such energy, and their unique sound really set me off . After them was the brilliant H.I.M. Now i will say this, they were just rocking the house down until my ears bled(not really). who knew that they were good; i sure didnt lol. They were so good, i got a headache from so much headbanging. Though, this was nothing compared to how MCR was. OMG, they were probably the second best of the night; i just loved the energy Gerard was getting from the crowd, and he used that in his vocals. AND, don't get me started on Taking Back Sunday. :jess:, they were just amazing, and wow--just wow.

However, while they all were great, the grand stage belonged to Linkin Park, and they were byfar, the best of the entire night. They did three or four encores, and i stayed until the end. Every one of their songs, i was in a moshpit for a majority of the time. Yeah, i might of been just 16, but i got me some boose; hellz yeah.

Haha yeah, it was a spectacular concert, and one I'll never forget :ryan:

I seen Muse on Saturday and they were AMAZING!!! I need to see them perform live again, was incredible. Also Foo Fighters were pretty damn awesome too. Both abnds chose good songs, had great sets and were overall great entertainers.

Oh, I thought that you meant that the DragonForce concert was the top one you saw live upon reading your list until I read the rest of your post. They're so incredibly sloppy live.

Anyway, Anthrax over at the big Four tour in Sofia, Bulgaria absolutely KILLED it along with Megadeth.

I went to The Fall of Troy's last show before they called it quits over in New Haven, CT. Since they were one of my favorite bands, it was a pretty emotional experience for me. Though Thomas' vocals weren't so hot that night, his guitarwork and the rest of the instrumentation was absolutely spot on.
