This game looks like Guilty Gear's cousin. This game looks pretty awesome even though only 12 characters are in the game. I do not really mind at all. This game is for Xbox 360 and Ps3 and it just looks so cool. It will be released June 30th in NA. The battle system looks like a duplicate of Guilty gear but better. The character designs are pretty cool too. It even has online Multiplayer(matchmaking)
 
It says on amazon and various other sites that the game is due to be released on the 30th June. Still no release date for the UK though. :(

I'm really looking forward to this, I started playing GG a bit more seriously last year and since this is it's spiritual successor (since it's made by the GG people) then it should be a blast, looks gorgeous too when you see it in motion. Not too sure what this 30+ hour long single player campaign is meant to be in the console versions but it's always about the multi-player anyway. I'm hoping it runs well.

Been a really good year for 2D fighter games this last year. SFIV, SFII: HDR, KoFXII, BB, Mark of the Wolves and Marvel vs Capcom 2 all out/announced within a year of each other. Nice to see the genre get a bit of a shot in the arm.
 
Okay so, it recently came out, its a 2D fighting game for the x-Box 360 and the PS3. I own the game, I just got it yesterday actually and I must say, the game so far is amazing. It fight caught my attention when I saw that the creators for it were the same people who made Guilty Gear (yet another amazing 2D fighting game).
The controls are great, the graphics look amazing, the game play is smooth and fluent, I'd say a good game for any fan of fighter games. The story line: each and every character has their own storyline, which naturally intertwines with the others) and each one is deep and detailed. The character are unique and very eye catching.
The music for the game is amazing, I love the sound of the piano and violin along with the electric guitar on just about every song. The voiced of the characters are well done in both English and Japanese. There is online play, of course, there is quite the variety of game modes to play. Now the windows and initial screens are very well detailed, very beautiful art I'd say. Each character has an 'astral finish' which means they have a special final attack much like the famous 'one hit kill' from Guilty Gear and each character has their own Trophy/Achievement to unlock.
There is, however, one downside that I could see about it: the number of characters, its very little; but hey this is only the first game, I'm sure there will be more f they chose to make another one.
I know I might have left some things out, and I'm gonna bite my lower lip when I realize it but for the moments, that's about it.
 
Gosh I want this game so bad! I went to go check at the store for some copies and they were all sold out. I want the limited edition though. But even the regular game was sold out! Gosh im going to the states soon and hopefully ill find it there. ^_^
 
When the limited editions sell out...thats it there are no more until someone that actually owns one either sells or gives it to you.
 
Hey Tifa whats your gamertag? Also Ima keep trying to get the limited edition of Blazblue calamity trigger. Do you know what the limited edition comes with by any chance? Also how is the online?

I dunno whether you want it for the PS3 or 360, so I'll presume it's the latter in which I'd guess you just change the Bluray disk with a DVD. Anywho, Adri...

That sucks, it doesn't work like that over here :ness: Over here they basically sell the limited edition for a set period of time and order new ones in once they've sold out, although if you get it off play.com it basically has limited edition on there for ages :awesome:

All being said, I'll give the game a miss since I'm not a fan of fighters xD

The online is fine as long and there is no lag, the people can be a little cheap as always but then again when that never happens anyway?
Now as I said before, the limited edition is sold out and you wont get your hands on it unless someone sells or gives it to you, someone that already owns it, anyways.
 
Finally got the game and I love it so far! Noel is so ummmm hot! xDDD. I love the gameplay! Also Tifa ill add you on ps3 but I have Blazblue for the xbox 360. Also huge Lolz at Bang! NU is rather beautiful without her armor. Also what do the unlimited versions do?
 
An online friend refereed me to this game so I picked up the Limited Edition.
This has to be one of the best 2D fighting games ever. Jin is my best character, I am still working on perfecting his Distortion Drives and Astral Heat.
The soundtrack is also pretty awesome. I never have my own music play like I do for other games.
I recommend it to anyone who likes fighting games.
Just beware for a really bad story mode.
 
The story mode was really awesome or perhaps you mean badass story mode? Its so awesome I love this game so much. Soundtrack gameplay. Everything is :awesome: about this game! EXCEPT SCORE ATTACK MODE!!!! its so freaking hard. I use NOEL NU AND Hakumen. So when I get online Hit me up for some truly awesome FIGHTS!
 
You have to admit it could be better. I hate how to get 100% complete you need to lose every battle, win every battle and then count distortion drives.
The only one I could complete was Jin's and I had to use a walkthrough.
 
Well if you think about it. If you get 100% with every character (which I will try too) You get something special. I saw the true ending and it was so awesome. Like I totally freaked out. You have to start playing story mode now xDDD. the ending is crazy(really)

You fight Unlimited Ragna in it right???
I guess I can start. I did just gain three levels on network.
I will need a good FAQ though, it just gets so confusing.
 
No actually you do fight Unlimited Ragna but to get the acheivement you need to beat him in Score attack mode. I tried and Got to stage 11 and NU killed me(unlimited) Also you do not need to get 100 percent all you need is a clear on every character to get the true end. I just want to see if there is anything special if we get 100 percent with everyone.

All I have to do is clear each character? Sweet, that takes a long night of fighting off my hands. I can at least pull that one off.
Score Attack mode is harder than hell difficulty. I can only get 1 win on Unlimited Ragna with Jin, I will beat him someday.
 
You got to unlimited Ragna? On score attack? I have to say that Jin Kisaragi is tehe best caharcter to use but Unlimited NU killed me. Is Unlimited Ragna really hard. Btw Nu was really annoying. Also do you think that astarl finishes are quite useless after you get the acheivement? I spam Ice razor with Jin and got all the way to Nu unlimited but she killed me.

Unlimited Ragna sucks to fight. Hardest fight I have yet to encounter. I do not play often enough so I have yet to use an astral finish, I want to though...
I am sure they are just a flashy way to say "Die Punk!"
