Really pisses me off. I STRUGGLED through the card tournament in Treno on disk three. I think my cards are decent... But I just lack a common knowledge of the numbers and things. ....It's supposed to be a fun mini game, dammit! Not something you get head aches over. -_-* Help? =]

Before doing the Treno Tournament, get some practise with random people around Treno who may play...it isnt too hard when you get used to it...if i remember correctly...

Yeah I played some... I basically got the hang of it. I just want to know the fine print details. What the numbers and letters on the card stand for, you know? Cuz getting beating is one thing. I'd like to know why I'm getting beat. "Knowing the flaw is the first step to overcoming it", kind of thing, yeah?

I started off losing like my first 5 games I played, but caught on quick once aI got at least 2 good cards that I could own with. Once you get a good inventory or about 2-3 cards, you can build from there and easily demolish the card competition all over Gaia.

the card game just annoyed me - i never played it except when i had too lol - probably because after completing the card tournament and battling with Steiner and
Beatrix
i died and had to do it all over again -_- plus like 45 minutes before that too -_-

Ugh...that's the kind of thing that'll make me quit playing a game for like an entire month. I hate it when that happens!

I don't really understand FFIX's card game either. I found Triple Triad much more fun. ^_^

my advice since i have beaten the tormament is to well u 1 powerful card andthe rest be weak and have them in all directions so once u pull that powerful card out(mine was bahamut)to cause a mean combo might even cause a perfect!!!

Lol, I found the game fun, actually. Yes, it had its annoying moments, but that's what keeps me going...I like the challenge. :) But I do like Triaple Triad more though.

found it really fun
i couldnt get the ultimate rank but i got all the cards though :)
excalibur 2 was the best

Haha the card game was ruthless, and i loved it!
i think i won 2 games in the tournament and then lost best card :O
*..Devastated..* (cant remeber card lol, was a while since i played this.)
i might replay the game, just to go back and win that trophy in treno :)

This is all speculation after playing many games
1st#= Atk power
2nd#= determines how fast your oponnents card number goes down in battle(I think???)
3rd#= Def power
The letter= some sort of rock paper scissors thing. I don't know, I didn't really pay attention to the number because you don't really need it.
But from what I have seen when some cards attack mine I will have a real high number against some cards and low for others. I assume it has to do with the letter...

you must always remember that magic beats power...buuuuuuuuutttt....
certain elemental power cards will beat magic
the number before the letter m or p is the level
the letter is m (magic) or p (power)
the double digits mean its defense of magic or power (containg of an element-maybe)
you might know one right off the bat... Zombie is an undead magic card.
Hint: use an element the opposite of this card( sometimes level does NOT
matter)

If you couldnt think of an answer to my hint/question here it is: Fire and Holy cards will take this card out even though it is a magic card.
Just like in Battle, the undead hate Holy and Fire magic.
Soooooo...try using a Mythril Sword card or Bomb cards to flip this card over to your advantage!

I loved this game right from the start. Well, ok, at first I thought a card game was a queer idea, but after playing in the Tourny and owning at it in Treno, I loved it. I still try to go back every now and then and test out my skills to see how rusty I've gotten over the years. :p

its a great game to play, and i do find it challenging using lower level cards against higher ones. i find it better then the previous Final Fantasies
card game: Triple Triad.
