Cissenei of the Turks

Don't know if it's been asked or if this has even been answered in the FF7 world. Whatever happened to Cissenei? She was in CC and BC, but I never played BC so maybe something happened to her there. Can anyone shine some wisdom on me?
 
I'm pretty sure that Before Crisis is set at the same time as Crisis Core and overlaps a bit (though it doesn't overlap in plot). I also do not have Before Crisis as I don't own those crazy Japanese phones you need to be able to play it.

But I don't think it is explained in that though what happens to her. She isn't even named in Before Crisis and is known only as "Shuriken (female)" apparantly. It is only in Crisis Core that she is given a personality and a little bit of plot.

She does mention that her real name isn't even Cissnei in Crisis Core and hints that she would have explained it later (but didn't due to the ending of that game). So I guess for now it is open to theories as to who she is / what happened to her and if she ever will appear / has appeared in a different name in the FF7 compilation.

Someone here once suggested that Cissnei could be Jessie from FF7 and that she had joined Avalanche to fight Shinra following the events of Crisis Core / Before Crisis and falling out with Shinra. We can only guess what happened for now I suppose as nothing solid has been revealed about her.
 
I think - but could be wrong - that BC was actually conceived before CC. In BC Cissnei appears later on in the game as [I think] a playable character. Since the gamer is allowed to name all the playable characters, SE made up the thing about Cissnei not being her 'real name' in CC - because of all the Japanese players who would know her by the name(s) they had given her. I could be wrong about her being a playable character, though.

However, BC and CC do overlap in terms of plot in several places, most notably the scene in CC when the Shinra building is invaded. While in CC Zack is fighting off the deranged robots on Floor 49 and in the lobby, Reno, in BC, is trapped on the roof of a runaway elevator. Later, when Sephiroth and Zack are running around in Reactor, Reno and Rude are chasing Hollander through the Sector 1 train station; eventually he gives them the slip and shows up in his secret lab in Sector 5 in time to meet Sephiroth, Genesis, and Zack. I thought this was a lovely bit of plotting - split screen effect! BC also has a major episode with Zack, which helps explain one of the DMW cut scenes he has with Tseng in CC.
I am something of a nerd about this, as you can see.

A lot of the Turks up and quit at the end of BC due to the plot. I wont state why.

But, in Advent Children Complete, there is a scene with Reno and Rude where they mention many of the old Turks coming back to work under Rufus. Which, is another indication of a sequel.
 
I really do wonder what happened to Cissnei... When I read in the above post that there was a suggestion that she could be Jessee, I was like: "WHAAAT?!!" It would've been quite cool if she was, though =)

I do reckon that she quit the Turks, though, due to helping Zack, and not being true to the Turk code. Doubt she has a part in FFVII, though... Probably just another character SquareEnix made up to put into the story of Zack to fill it up and to --sort of-- show that he was constantly chased down in the end, while trying to save Cloud.

There's no way she could be Jesse. Two different personalities entirely. Not to mention specialties. That and the stories don't match up.

BC covers all the way up to Meteor fall, allowing you to play as her up to then. Jesse dies WAY before then.
 
No one really knows what really happened to Cissnei. She probably escaped to freedom, and is starting a new life. I want to learn more about her though. She did say that 'Cissnei' isn't even her real name, right? Square Enix can't just leave that hanging. Unless they forgot all about her. Well, who knows? Maybe they'll end up giving us another FFVII related spin-off (too many already) with Cissnei having the lead role. I think that's possible.
 
Cissnei's real name is what you name her in BC. None of the BC Turks have names outside of the one's you give them.
