The ultimate Final Fantasy IV fan will have a chance to buy the ultimate Final Fantasy IV collection in March. Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection, a PSP compilation of Final Fantasy IV and direct sequel The After Years, arrives in March, and Square Enix is readying a special "Ultimate Pack" for it.
Square Enix provided a close look at the Ultimate Pack today. For ¥9,445, you'll get a copy of the game, an official guide book, a 17 track soundtrack called "Final Fantasy IV The After Years Sounds Plus," and an art book called "Final Fantasy IV Complete Arts.





Of the soundtrack's 17 tracks, Square Enix is letting members of the Square Enix Members fan club select five through a vote. The other 12 have already been set. You can see a track list here. Members can vote for their preferred five tracks here (even non-members may want to access this page, as there are music samples).
Both the Ultimate Pack and standard version of Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection will be available on March 24.

I wish I could get the special pack. It was be extremely awesome to have it, but I don't have any money to spare (saving for other important things)... :(

I can't wait. Its a remake I wanna actually play...nevermind, I wanted to play the DS remake too xD

It looks amazing, and it looks like they used a RM system to create the game :O
 
Looking forward to this game. I would love to buy the ultimate pack, but at $115 USD, that's quite a price. I got my PSP for less than that, highly doubt I'm going to pay that much for a game. I'll just look for it on eBay in a while. :)

I loved 4, and have been hoping for a portable version of After Years for some time, so this is just awesome news. Hopefully they'll be making the compilation game disc available separately (and, you know, eventually in english).

Not sure how I feel about the art style though... They're trying so very hard to make it all smooth and sleek that the initial battle screens look a little soulless. I enjoyed the visual style of the FF1 and 2 remakes for psp, so hopefully it'll look a little better on my psp screen than in stills on the internet. Either way, any excuse to play through 4 again is a welcome one.
 
I only have IV for the DS, but I've beaten it enough to know that this is my favorite FF out of all of others, and it would be pretty sweet to have the box set - seeing as how I could play The After Years and indulge myself in an art book, this better be coming out in NA. :hmph: Need more FF collectibles .

The only reason why this has my attention is because of the The After Years. If this was just FFIV alone, I'd pass it over in a snap, but the sequel included as well has me consider getting it.
 
Is the After Years a sequel? If so I might pick this up when it comes to NA; however, I thought it was just a sound track. If so then I'll pass...for now.
 
How many times do they want to remake this :confused:

Nevertheless, I'l still probably end up buying it, I seem to think I have an endless supply of cash...
 
Being a huge fan of FFIV I'm really, really excited about this! I quite like the graphics style! It's really cute and colourful, something I've always loved about FFIV!

I'll be so happy to see the lovely Kain again too. :D
 
This is tempting because of the After Years; however, seeing as how I already have the original SNES cartridge still and the DS version, it's kind of blah to have to get yet another version of the original game when the SNES one is already my favorite :/ (plus I don't own a PSP :hmmm:) However, if there's any chance SE has spies out there reading this thread, I would buy a whole PS3 system just for a fully voice-acted and cutscened PS3 remake of the original FFIV :8F:

I'mma keep bitching about it until it happens :hmph:

But again, I just want to play The After Years, I already own FFIV twice now :/

Unless we get some kick-ass swag like Japan is getting-I'd pay for that :ness:
 
Square Enix confirmed Final Fantasy IV: Complete Collection for the West. The PSP remake of Final Fantasy IV has been upgraded with detailed sprite work, similar to the art in the 20th anniversary Final Fantasy remakes.
Final Fantasy IV: Complete Collection includes Final Fantasy IV and the direct to mobile phone sequel Final Fantasy IV: The After Years plus a new storyline linking the two games.

 Final Fantasy IV: Complete Collection will launch in Japan on March 24. Europe gets to fight the Magus Sisters again just a few weeks later on April 19. While we don’t have a release date for North America, we’re sure an announcement is coming.

Update: Not quite a North American announcement, but Amazon is taking pre-orders for Final Fantasy IV: Complete Collection. The online mega-retailer is selling the game for $29.99 and says its coming here on April 19. Thanks for the tip Denpa no Sekai!

Update 2: It’s official, Square Enix USA confirmed the April 19 release date for North America.
