Just a question to all my fellow Coheed and Cambria fans out there(one among the Fence:highfive:)

Do you consider Coheed to be Metal or Prog-Metal?

I myself consider Coheed to be more on the side of Prog-Metal because they are Extremely experimental with their sound ie: the song ON THE BRINK from No World For Tomorrow(personally i think it has a OBVIOUS Rush influence)

then again other songs from their catalouge like Blood Red Summer have a pop/rock influence

Anyones opinion welcome!!!

Cheers:mrgreen:

First off; I've lost track of the sub-genres for metal now. Progressive, speed, symphonic, death, black, goth, etc. x_x

That aside if you're talking about progressive the way I think you're talking about it, I'd tend to agree there (though more often than not I hear Coheed and Cambria have the rock label applied as opposed to metal).

The Rush comparison stands even beyond song styles. Their respective vocalists sound so much alike it's not funny.

EDIT: Hearing "Welcome Home" live was one of the most amazing concert experiences ever.
