connection between FF7 and 10/10-2

One day when i was playing FF 10-2 and i heard the name of that little albed kid named Shinra. I thought to myself, "he has the same name as the company in FF7, could that just be a coincidence? maybe maybe not" then i started thinking, Jenova and Sin have the same side effects of memory loss and stuff, so maybe jenova is really just a sin spawn that happend to survive so many years? then i thought, well Shinra the kid is a genius, so its not crazy to think that he could invent a mako reactor. all three games were also directed by the same guy, so its not out of the question, so maybe ff7 takes place in the same world as ff10 and 10-2 just many years later. anyways, just a thought, and id like to hear what you all have to say on the matter ^-^

I don't think so. They have Cid characters in almost every Final Fantasy game, so you might as well say all Final Fantasy games are connected XD
Nah, I think they just done that because they thought it was an awesome idea and to just get people to remember Final Fantasy VII hehe. As for the Jenova and Sin thing...I dunno.

the connection your talking about is about Shinra from FFX-2 is a decendent or the creator of Shinra in FFVII...it has nothing to do with Cid or Jenova+Sin or whatever you said. A rumor probably started by SE to milk FFVII more than it already is. And for record THERE IS NO CONNECTION!!!!!! ok? im sorry of that may have came off as ignorant or whatever but its the truth

You cannot determine if that is true or not unless SE confirms it. You cannot state your opinion as fact, because opinions are based on the individual views of individual people - opinions cannot be right or wrong - fact.

its just a stupid rumor to make the fanboys/girls of FFVII go insane over a connection betweem another FF game. its just SE telling rumours to get fanboys/girls to get the hype back up towards FFVII or other games. SE should stop with all productions with all FFVII stuff...the game was good but just stop with all the other crap they makin for it

Dude there is a rumor about a connection between FFVII and FFX-2. "Yes. In my mind, pyreflies and VII's Lifestream are the same substance."

addition to the idea of life origin -- in a sequel to FFX International.
That's just a little bit of the thought that's been going into what to do with

"That's right. There's something like the Lifestream [in X's world

distant planets becomes possible, the Shin-Ra Company is founded on another
world, or something like that....... That would happen about 1000 years after
this story, I think."

"Well, you could say the feelings I have are like that. When I think about the
characters, those are the kinds of feelings I already have. Shinra is a good
child, but his descendants are going to end up becoming like the president [of
Shin-Ra] (laughs)."

"With you said about VII, after seeing your episodes with Shinra, one of the
people on the [development] staff said that the first shot of the Bevelle
Underground 'gives the impression of somewhere else.'"

"Certainly; it looks like the opening shot of Midgar in VII."
