Does any one know where I can get to a free criminal background search site? My uncle was arrested a long time ago, and no one's ever told me why, so I'll just dig it up myself. Google isn't helping at all, they all trick you into thinking it's free, but then they spring a payment option on you like snakes.
 
If memory serves, you can check your local state court lists for free.

They just won't tell me what he did is all. He was only in jail for a couple of weeks. I'll never figure out why they were laughing their asses off when he called from jail. He sounded like he was afraid, and my cousins and aunts were laughing themselves s**tless. I gather he did something stupid, like try to mug someone with a banana, or pick up a hooker or something.
 
But what if he did get arrested pick up a hooker or something? I can't live with the fact that my uncle is a ''John''. Of course, my own curiosity is overpowering that...

This topic was interesting. It caught my attention because I work for a large B.I. firm (B.I. = Background Investigation; Background Search). I believe your best, sure fire bet is to go check the public court records. It'll give you all the deets. Depending on your state or location, you may or may not have access to privileged information and may be privy to a nominal fee. Try it, and if it doesn't work, I'll find out for sure what it is that you can do.

Just like they do with porn websites... from what I hear...
