Crisis Core US Release Date Finally Announced!

Wow the release date is getting closer and closer! I gotta say, I'm not too hyped up about all these new additions to the plot
(e.g. the "goddes", or Red's "wife")
. I hate tacky renditions like that, especially when they don't tie into the original plot at all.

I'm still buying the game; I'm anxious to play a first person version of FF. XD
Since I do hear that Versus XIII will be first person as well!

Yay! My theory is correct! SE ARE turning Final Fantasy gradually into first and third-person shooters! :D That's not something I'm neccessarily happy about, mind you... but it's gonna be freaking hilarious...

Halo-tard: 'I'm getting that new Final Fantasy game! It looks sweet and the weapons are off the chain!'

Other Person: 'They got a new RPG...?'

Halo-tard: 'Nope, it's a first person shooter! It haz bludz and gorez and a less than unique storyline! Hooray!'

Other Person: 'Who gave then that idea...?'

Halo-tard: 'Halo. Isn't it awesome!? :O'

Other Person: 'This has gone on long enough...' *loads a shotgun, takes out the Halo-tard and heads to Square-Enix's headquarters*

lol obviously, otherwise I wouldn't have posted up the date ;P
Anyway, I reserved a copy at Game Stop. Wherever you pre-ordered yours at, SO, you should be able to just go in on March 25th and pick it up. You shouldn't have to wait for a phone call.
 
OH MY GOODNESS! THIS MARCH??! no wayy!!! thats the day after my birthday...i think i need to get that as a bday present :D

Crisis Core is more than a nostalgia trip for FFVII fans - it's a fresh and exciting game in its own right, and arguably the single most impressive application of the PSP's power.

I don't believe magazines, sorry. xD They rate anything by SquareEnix as a 90+ no matter how much it sucks.
 
Actually, no they don't. I've seen some pretty bad reviews in gaming magazines for Square-Enix games, so wherever you got the information, you're wrong. I think you just hate SE so much, you'll do anything and find anything you can to say and post negative things about it.
 
All the reviews I've ever seen of SE games are positive. Though I admit that don't look in magazines much... I know I saw a magazine give X-2 an A rating, that was enough for me to quit reading FF reviews in mags...
 
oh thank god I've been anxiously waiting for crisis core since i spotted it in a Game Informer that I "Found" in my cousins room, and are those offers for the import for it real?

????? Well I read GI every month and I've seen the reviews go both ways for SE. They blasted Revenant wings. And gave FFXII a so-so score. I have also read that the new tactics got an outstanding score. Soooo it goes both ways when reviewing a game.


Oh and the 25th of March!! Awesome.
 
Okay then... Maybe they're actually paying attention to what sucks now... Though IMO, I find magazines are overly biased... There's no other way I can think of that Halo gets rated high with every game, despite mediocre story and gameplay mechanics, but I'm getting abit off topic...
 
I agree with that. I'm sure some gaming company's are paying the editors salary to get "a fair rating". But as far as Crisis core I could care less what the magazines rate it. I am sure I will not be let down based on the storyline alone.

I mean if I can play through the entire DoC game just for the story I'm sure Crisis Core will not be bad.

everybody prob already nos but they also updated the site with a new trailer and i think two character profiles. they still have yet to put up the full website however. the release date is getting closer tho!!

I'm totally looking forward to CC, but I'm worried...
I heard it had "missions". If it's anything like DoC, it might be hard to pick the game up again after playing. If it's like Tales of the World, however, that would be a bit more acceptable.

Honestly, I wish they would stick to the old fighting systems. That's what made FFVII so great. Classic RPG elements...
