Okay so there's this series out there that is like the best anime ever called gunslinger girl. I've seen all the episodes but then the other day I see another series called gunslinger girl that's supposed to be the sequel to the original series and it's called gunslinger girl el teatro. So I watch it and immediately it PISSED ME OFF! You know why I'm pissed? Something happened and now all of a sudden the theme song is in Japanese and the drawing style is completely different. All the peoples eyes are way wider than before! It's all so horrible and to make it worse they changed the style of the main characters! You do not know how pissed I am! I can't watch one of my alltime favorite anime if it looks this crappy! The original art was so much better and the themesong was not in Japanese. Gah! What do I do? Do you think I should watch it? Has this ever happened to anybody else/ I am PISSED!

Well,

Maybe there has been a change of production artist. or something.
I sometimes can see some minor changes in character design in Naruto Shippuuden.
Thou, I really didn't care that much coz what I want is the action.
As long as it's not that crappy. It will do for me.

And if you really like it, go watch. And maybe after a few episodes it will come back to the style you used to love.

Hm this has happened to me before and it does bug me too when you check out a sequel to a anime and the artist has changed and everything looks weird because you do notice it expecially if you was such a big fan of the origonal series. But you have to look at it this way, the animation and appearance was only part of what drew you to the series or made you continue to watch the whole thing, the storyline had the biggest play as did the action of the anime so therefore them changing the appearance slightly or the animation should only bother you slightly.

i would watch it and give it a go because it is the storyline and characters what make a anime immportant. The animation and character design are what come second.

Yeah this has happened to me. I love the anime series Saiyuki, and I love it, although I had only seen a few episodes, and the movie, and I had read the manga series as well. Well I saw that the series had a sequel that was on TV one day, called Saiyuki Reload. well I began watching it, and quickly realized all the voice actors were different. I looked it up, and apparently it switched production companies, and all voice actors, and they all are horrible... :gasp: It's like they were TRYING to be the old cast, and not doing a very good job of it. =/ It kind of ruined it for me too...

Is Gunslinger girl really that good then? the first season that is ;p or is it a movie?
I might watch it,,,Ive been waiting for a new anime to watch.

Holy crap, Bat-boy...

Here I was thinking of looking for Il Teatrino now that I have a job... But maybe I'll pass that one up.

And yes, I've noticed it differs. Onegai Teacher to Onegai Twins is probably the only one I've seen where they stayed nearly perfectly the same.

Yeah, this happened to me as well. It is extremely irritating, but I think that if you really do love the series, you shouldn't focus on the animation, but the storyline. However, I do admit that if the art style is waaaay off from before, then focusing on the plot can be hard, since it feels like those aren't the characters whom you've loved (or hated) so much before.

The first season is amazing and the end of it is so emotionally messed up that if you hadn't known there was a sequel you would just say"Holy sh!t that's messed up. Yesh its good watch it.- But if you watch the first season or series, do NOT watch Gunslinger Girl 2 El Teatrino. Trust me, I'm doing you a major favor and it will keep all of the great things of the seris fresh in your mind.

El Teatrino, the sequele Gunslinger Girl is okay but it lacks so much in plot and it's trying to pick up from where the first season left off and its doing a bad job. AND the themesongs annoy the hell outta me. This was a change for the absolute WORST! Since when did the themesong become Japanese? And why did they insert a bunch of random things in the plot. The second season of this show had so many major plotholes that I want to vomit just thinking of them all. It also ruins the suspense from the first season, where I think the series should have ended reguardless of one small question...

Frankly the series has gone down at this point and I'll ride it out to the end though. Maybe. just maybe after eleven episodes of the series I can get used to it. I've already seen 10 of the series' sequel...

That happened for the dub episodes in pokemon at some point in the battle frontier.Almost the whole cast changed, and the artist, new voice openings are just ok.Why did pokemon change?cuz the cast were like voicing the characters for like 10 years.

What do I do? Do you think I should watch it?

no, dont watch it. instead just read the manga. it goes on even further than the ending of el teatro, witch is widely detested by GSG fans everywhere. In the manga you will have allot of character development to look forward to- especially with Triela

The original art was so much better and the themesong was not in Japanese.

Really? Because usually Anime originally have a Japanese opening unless it's dubbed. Was it dub or was it like Black Lagoon in the sense it was an Anime with an English opening?

I can't really think of anything from Anime that pissed me off that much. Be it the story, intro or the animation. Not off the top of my head anyways.
