A darkness grows with great power, and it would fill even the purest heart with evil. Saethos stands there and closes his eyes in front of the dark aura. There is something there that hides and grows. Saethos fears it and obeys it's dark will. The concrete jungle, made to seal this being, has grown weaker since the death of he who sealed it. What this darkness is for? Nobody knows. All fear the being, even the guardians of hell. The heavens have neglected to tend to this matter as it grew, and now they can do nothing about it...The fate of the Tarntain lands depends on the warriors the people choose. But no ordinary people could survive its chaotic powers. For now, it remains sealed in a land of stone. The concrete jungle. Pillars and mountains of stone, spikes coming from random places...Demons are draw here before death, and nobody knows what happens to the bodies...

Saethos: "My master...what will you have me do... ...But what would be the point of that?... ... ...I see... ... ... ...understood my master... ...I shall... ... ...where?... ... ...There huh? You sure it's worth my time?... ... ...NO! I would never doubt you... ... ...Understood... ...A wolf you say?... ...And a spirit that has captivated a human... ... ...The descendant of your sealer?... ...Alright... ... ...And...A priest? what do you want with him?.. ... ... ... ... ... ...Ah, I understand now. I shall do as you please."

Saethos turned around and began walking. Saethos: "I am you servant..."

"Blade, watch out!" The man on top of the wagon cried, just in time for a man with a spear to whirl and catch a blade on the center of his spear. A third man, also on top of the wagon, drew an arrow on his bow and shot, making the bandit suddenly sprout a new feathery addition to his forehead. The bandit fell back, only for three more to come into sight, one hanging back to draw an arrow himself.

"Damn. This happens every time. Stupid luck..." Blade muttered, twirling his spear in a circle to spin off the archer's arrow while the two other bandits, one holding an axe, the other a dagger, advanced. "Yo, Archie, deal with that one in the back! I got these two!" Blade called back, swinging his spear in a wide arc to graze the stomach of the closer one, making them back away. "Got it!" Archie called back, firing an arrow and narrowly missing.

"Time to die, boys." Blade said, rushing forward and stabbing with his spear at the one with the axe. Caught off guard, the bandit barely blocked the blow before having Blade rush forward and stab in the throat with his dagger, only to back away and catch his spear before it hit the ground and guard against the other bandit, ducking as an arrow flew above his head. "Jesus... ARCHIE! I feel a wind! Aim a bit to the right!" Blade called back. "Got it!" Archie called, aiming like told to do so and firing an arrow right between the eyes.

Blade sighed as he blocked another blow. "Damn, boy, you know nothing. I am sorry to take your life." Blade said to him, before launching himself into the air, at least 20 feet up. The boy gaped as Blade brought his spear to point downwards, drawing his dagger back. "Lunar Wrath!" Blade roared, flying down to send a shockwave, hitting the boy to lift him in the air so his neck was close enough for Blade to come down to the ground with a slicing motion on his dagger, taking the head clean off.

"Think i overdid it" Blade muttered, looking around. The bandits were now dead, knocked away from the wagon by the shockwave, and the driver looked a bit terrified, though Archie seemed bemused. Blade and Archie had worked together a few times before, so Archie was used to it. "Yo, i'm getting paid extra for this, right?" Blade called to the driver, sheathing his dagger and draping his spear across the back of his neck as he climbed back up the wagon.

The driver nodded before snapping the reins, urging the horses that hadn't even noticed the events, probably from tunnel vision, to go forward, which they did. "This is getting a bit too easy Archie" Blade commented, leaning back. "Yeah well, easy means not dead for us." "True."

Laleth sat at a window while rain poured on outside in the city. Rain fell heavily today as she lay on her bed staring out at the shops across from the church. Finally jumping down from her bed, Laleth grabed her umbrella and walked calmly outside.

"Where are you going dear? You'll get wet." said one of the nuns inside the church.

"It's okay I'm just going across the street to get a couple things!" Laleth spoke in the sweetest voice she could make.

She grabbed her black parisol and headed outside. Everything was wet, everything was messy, but she didn't mind. The girl walked slowly through the rain towards an alleyway in between the stores she had been staring at before. She walked quiet so that he footsteps could not be heard in the beating rain. The small girl had finally gotten to th end of the alleyway and spotted a beast huddled over a dead corpse. "Hehe! got you!" she said to the beast who turned in suprise.

"Oh! it's you...uh this isn't what it looks like." said the beast hurredly as if trying to cover something up.

"Its okay Darieal..." began Laleth "But when I tell you to stop eating humans, you won't stop."

"I tried! i really tried!" the demon protested, waving his hands.

"I told you that you could live here only if you stopped eating humans...but..." began Laleth. "It seems like you can't stop."

"No! I'll be good! I promise!" went the creature. "Please don't make me leave again! I'll starve!"

"Oh you wont be leaving anywhere..." said Laleth as she took a step towards the creature, still holding the black parisol up to sheild her from rain. "But you wont be living here either..."

"What?" went the demon.

At this Laleth was already at his throat, slicing it with her ruby encrusted dagger. he demon fell to the ground bleeding. With that she repeatedly hacked off the demon's limbs one by one, creating a bloody mess. And after she was finished, she planted a gentle kiss on the creature's head before walking away slowly.

"You couldn't live here...So it looks like you died here." Laleth chuckled as she skipped her way back to the church.

As she opened the door from the rain, one of the nuns rushed over to her. "where have you been?" the nun began. "It's prayer time!"

"Oh! Thank you, I'll hurry to the congregation." Said Laleth as she closed her parisol and followed the nun.

(OOC: Click on The Retreat to see the thread for it, and to read to conversation that took place between Crimson Wolf and Julias Herenias.)

Crimson Wolf had been travelling for a while, and decided to enter a place in the area, namely The Retreat, if even just for a short time.

There were several others in there already, but due to his appearance, which quite often intimidates people even when he isn't trying to do so.

Knowing this, he decides against bringing conversation to one of the people there, but headed for the large couch at the other side of the large, open area, wondering if anyone would eventually approach him to converse, and if so, whom it may be.

After he had sat down, being careful not to sit on his tail, it wasn't too long that he had been sitting relaxing, while listening to the conversations of the others, before a man dressed in black entered in.

Judging by the cross on the sleeves of his top suggested that he is a religious man. After he looked around, seeing people throughout the room, conversing, then seeing a Wolf-like man secluded from the others, as if he wouldn't be well accepted if he were to approach one of them.

The man then decided he would sit two seats across on the same couch, removing the large gauntlets he had on and placing them on the seat between the two of them.

Crimson Wolf was surprised, he didn't seem to react negatively at all when he saw his appearance, so after a short time of the two of them just sitting there silently, relaxing, he decided to greet the man, introducing himself.

The man greeted back warmly, they told each other their names, his being Julias Herenias. They continued to hang around there for a good while, conversing.

Crimson Wolf hadn't talked much with anyone for quite a while, he was more than willing to chat, eager even.

Storming through the Concrete Jungle, Saethos was headed on his way to find his targets, His orders were to lure them into the outer lands by any means necessary, as long as they remain alive. He had no idea where he would be headed, but he did know how to find them. A mercenary, a priest, a wolf, and a little girl. He would start looking for the mercenary, but still, he did not know where to go. Heading to a large city with a sign that read "Khati", and it looked like a good place to start. With his blades in hand he walked inside and stared at the many people within the area...

OOC: I'm starting very slow on purpose. You can be headed here if you want @whoever, or have already been here, But you don't have to.

Sanjia felt very well rested after his short visit to The Retreat. He did not talk to anyone, mainly because he was looking for a place to chill. He went back on his way after his short rest. His main task was to find someone willing to help him rebuild his town, but so far, he has been unsuccesful. He will not give up, though, and will go until he finds someone, or until he is dead. As we was traveling, he heard something that sounded off in the distance. He thought about moving toward the sound, but reconsidered and continued on his current path.

"Give me all your money, and you won't get hurt." A voice from behind him says, as a knife goes to his throat. He had not heard the man coming behind him, but he suspected that he was responsible for the noise he had heard.

"You don't want to be doing that, mate. I won't fight you if you just leave me alone." Sanjia replied, very calmly. "If you don't comply, you will not like the result."

"Do you really think you scare me with your petty threats?" The voice from behind him retorted.

"I gave you fair warning." Sanjia stated, and plunged his katana through the man's chest, without looking behind.

The knife dropped to the ground before the man did, then he fell. Sanjia knew instantly the man was dead, and so he put away his weapon, and remarked "I told you that you wouldn't like the result." He then proceeded on his journey as though nothing happened. While walking, he noticed a large sign and on the sign read "Khati". After seeing the sign, he noticed a man walk in to the area, and decided to follow him. "Maybe," he thought, "this man will be one to help me with my rebuilding."

OOC: OK time for REAL evil

Walking through the vegetation of Death's Garden, He breathed in the poisonous air but it had no effect. The thick air that mutated life that lived there. His platinum hair waving in the wind so softly, but deceiving his allegiance. He almost seemed to glow with his pale skin, still remaining peach, but barely noticeable. The robe that drained life waved its black colors in the air, but seemed to shimmer green. The sound of his boots hitting the ground with every step sounded as it metal had hit from a fall.

As an insect flew by his head, he saw this on instinct and pulled out his blade. A purple colored Katana, and it began to glow a blue color, but the purple still shimmerd. Lighting the area with the blue and purple, the blade cut through the over-grown wasp as if it was hot butter. When the bee fell to the ground, he extended his free hand, lowering the katana, and a black color poured out of his hand from his sleeve. It wrapped around the bug and then healed it. The now healed insect was still being filled with his black aura, and it began to deform. It slowly turned humanoid, using two legs to stand on. The exoskeleton hardened to a shine, and it then looked at the man as the black stopped pouting

"You work for me now. Find me the holder of the Blood stone, NOW!" At this command, his voice was like stone. He had a sound to his voice that would send chills through the bravest warriors body. The bee then flew off to do as it's new master had ordered. "Hmph, these foolish little bugs..." Sheathing is sword back to where it was before, he began walking. "I need that stone."

Laleth struggled to keep her eyes open as the daily prayer in the chrch had come to a close. Living in the holy place her whole life, the nuns had high hopes for recruiting her as a maiden of the church, but she knew better. She had devoted her life to protecting her small village. there was no way she could be a nun and fight demons. She had her own agenda.

The preist of the church had concluded mass and the small girl happily ran back up to her room where three other orphaned girls were. she watched them as they passed her on the way to the hall. They giggled as they passed. "Wanna go to the store" asked the girl in the middle.

"Yea, you should buy that new pink dress!" said another.

"But pink is more your color!" responded the first girl.

Laleth had always had trouble with connecting to other little girls at the church and had been labled a loner. She often got teased for the way she dressed and was ignored by the other children there. Laleth scampered to her room to find her friend Mariella waiting for her. Mariella was a nun who had watched over Laleth closely all thorugh childhood. She was the only nun, who knew Laleths secrets. "Hey..." Laleth spoke as she ploped down on her bed staring out at the rainy town once more.

"What's wrong? Has those three been giving you problems again?" asked Mariella in concern.

"No..."Laleth almost whispered as she spoke.

The rain had let up and left the outside world damp. After a long pause Laleth spoke again. "Do you think pink is my color?" she asked.

"What?" asked Mariella in suprise. "You've always liked black and red."

"But I think I may want to try a new color." Laleth spoke, her eyes wide as she stared at the other girls skipping across the street towards the dress store.

"That's not like you." the nun said as she sat beside Laleth. "Do you want to practice some more archery? I bought you more arrows."

"Oh!" Laleth gasped as she jumped up off the bed.

"What is it?" asked Mariella in suprise.

"Another demon! In the store!" shouted Laleth as she grabbed her pack of arrows and Bow from under her bed.

"Another one? I don't think it's safe for you lal-"

"It's with the other girls!" said Laleth as she rushed out of the church.

She had seen it as she stared from her spotting window. A fourth girl amoung the three. The fourth girl didn't have a shadow, and Laleth could smell her scent, the scent of a demon...

OOC: time skip here for myself, you aren't going to get the details of coming into the city, i want to be inside the city already. Sorry for being late!

IC: Blade sipped his drink, which was very watered down, as he leaned against the bar. After getting paid by the driver, Archie and Blade seperated, Archie to go find another job, Blade to relax before getting another job. He drank his usual drink, 90% water, 10% beer. Basically, he acted drunk while he wasn't.

Then something sent a shiver through his spine as he felt something dark. Something very evil. Putting down his drink, Blade stood, keep a grip on his spear as he walked outside. No one had the presence of the evil, but it was still there. Something powerful. Blade shuddered as he drew his spear closer to him and then proceeded towards the clothing shop.

As he went there, he noticed four girls. Generally he wouldn't notice them, but something was off about one of them. It felt.... like darkness, not as overwhelming as the other but still there. Then Blade suddenly noticed. It lacked a shadow. However, this was open public, and so Blade couldn't confirm his guess. Instead, he merely tailed the group, not even acting like he was while the others remained oblivious.

(OOC: Saethos isn't really THAT powerful, I mean he can hold his own, but...I'll just assume your characters not used to the feeling of an outer demon then.)

Saethos had began to simply walk, looking for the at least one of the ones that he had been on the search for. He didn't even know what they looked like So he was heading through the public buildings, and he was hoping he might see them. How he would confirm if it was them was with a little red rock that shined in the light. The reflections of the light were red, so it looked like blood spatters. He held this stone close at all times.

Entering a blacksmith's shop, he looked at the human weaponry. Scoffing at the weakness of the weapons, he noted how they would break if channeled with magic. His demonic blades, curved exotically like a dragons claw, was noticed by the blacksmith. The blacksmith asked him, "What kind of metal is that made from?" Not saying anything at all, Saethos raised his blades and he looked at them approaching the blacksmith. He Roughly sliced the blade through the neck of the blacksmith and in the blacksmiths last breath, Saethos told him, "Wouldn't you like to know."

Saethos left that building to continue his search, keeping his blades bloody.

Sanjia slowly entered the town, as he was unsure of the danger signs. He was looking for the man he saw come in here, so he walked around for a bit, keeping an eye out for possible dangers. He was acting very cautious because he had never been in this place.

As he was walking, he saw three girls heading to a building, then a fourth girl coming from a different direction. He noticed one of them did not have a shadow, which was odd to him. He thought about it for a brief second, then followed, staying far enough away to not be noticed.

As he approached, he saw another man was also following them. He veered away from the man, but continued to follow the girls. He thought maybe this man was some form of bodyguard, which was why he was following them. "But what about the fourth girl?" He kept thinking. He knew something was wrong with her, but he couldn't tell what. Still, he kept his distance and continued pursuit.

Laleth carried her black parisol outside even though it had stopped raining. She hurried after the other girls and the one odd one. She had never sensed a dmeon like this one before, it reeked of blood. As she enterd the store after the girls, she crept slowly behind the fourthone. Making sure Laleth wasn't visible by the other girls out of embarrasement of being spotted by the others and ridicled Laleth nudged the odd girl.

This girl had black hair and had an expression of no emotion. "What?" she asked annoyed as she turned around.

"U-um. One of the nuns said they wanted to see you before you went out..." Laleth thought up quickly. "She's outside waiting..."

This girl frowned, her bloody smell reeked from up close. Laleth could feel the power inside this one. She could not let it destroy her village..."Come on!" Laleth said calmly as she grabbed the girl's hand and led her outside.

It seemed that only two men were outside at the time. Laleth knew the demon would reveal itself only in secret. She led it down the alley and it willingly followed thinking she was another idiotic, innocent little girl. Suddenly Laleth stopped. "So are you a good demon or a bad demon?" she asked.

The girl behind her smiled slyly. It's secrets had been revealed. It morphed into it's true ugly form. A huge skeleton like creature with big black limbs and the mouth the size of Laleth herself. "So, you know about demons huh little girl?" asked the creature. "Would you like to satisfy my appetite?"

Laleth jumped towards the creature, her dagger a mere blur as it sliced across the monster's throat. It was a bad demon no doubt. To Laleth's suprise it did no damage. "huh?" she asked in confusion, just wondering why the monster hadn't died.

"Heheheh. that tickled." the beast went as it smacked Laleth with sheer force and she went flying through the air into a brick wall.

She needed help with this fight and she couldn't do it alone. She had already sustained damage. "Ugh..." Laleth gasped as she struggled to raise herself up off the ground. "You are tough...but...I'm tougher!"

The little girl remaind her calm attitude. She knew she would need help but she didn't expose her weakness...

Now was the time to intervene. After watching a fifth girl walk up to the group and pull the demon aside, the demon shifted after being revealed. The girl tried to attack it, but did little or no damage to it, and it countered and sent her flying into a brick wall. Suddenly Blade appeared in between the two, his spear pointed at the nameless demon.

"Hello, gov'nur. Would you perhaps mind dying?" Blade then twirled his spear and glanced back at the girl. "Hang back and recover. I got this bastard." Blade then turned back to the demon. He grinned, before launching himself high into the air, before spinning to point the spear downwards and rush down from above. "LUNAR WRATH!" He roared as the energy went into the point and he pierced the demon's skin.

Sanjia had saw a fifth girl walk into the building after the other four. After seeing this, he had a bad feeling that something was wrong. A bit after that, the girl appeared with one of the four, and headed toward an alley. It was then that he saw the man go into the alley.

Suddenly, he heard a hard impact. Sensing that something was wrong, he followed the man inside. When he got inside, he saw the man standing in-between the girl and something he had never seen before. He decided quickly and ran forward to engage the hostile. Before he got to them, he heard the man shout out, "LUNAR WRATH!". He pulled his katana and slashed the beast in the back, then stabbed it, trying to avoid the man's weapon.

Huh? A demon has revealed itself? Here? Bah, probably one of those selfish lowly fuckers that call themselves strong. Saethos thought to himself. He walked in the direction his senses led him to. He actually say what he was looking for in his mind, but was not aware of any others in the area. As it turned out he wasn't too far from where the demon was. He watched as three people were hitting it. Hm, two birds, one stone? I have no need for the other one, but maybe he can be fun... Saethos put his metal gloves together with a loud clash, getting the demons attention, along with the other in the area.

"HEY!" His demonic voice echoed through the sky, almost as if it was clashing with the stars. With the demon staring at him now he followed up by saying, "Amateur..." Not even giving the demon a chance to react he ran to it and his already dark aura blackened, and started to flail. With a leap, he penetrated the skin of the demon and the aura that was almost dancing around him was constantly whipping the opponent, and soon, destroying the demon. The even more sickening part was that the aura had absorbed the demon, making nothing left of its existence.

The turning to blade and Laleth, he spoke, "You must be blade, and you definitely are Laleth. I have my orders from my liege, and you may or may not like them. I am to find you all, and bring you to damned sea. There you will have a destiny bestowed upon you like no other." Turning to the other with the sword, he continued to say, "I'll even be kind enough to let you tag along with them, they may or may not need a hand...Any questions kids?"

(OOC: I forgot to mention, demons from the tarntain lands are weak in comparison, and Saethos is from the outside world, so demons here are weak compared to him, but that's not a worry for you.)

"You must be blade, and you definitely are Laleth. I have my orders from my liege, and you may or may not like them. I am to find you all, and bring you to damned sea. There you will have a destiny bestowed upon you like no other."

Laleth picked up her parisol and raised it over her head as if it were raining again. She walked past the man who had helped her and said "I didn't need your help." in the most serious voice she could find.

"I'll even be kind enough to let you tag along with them, they may or may not need a hand...Any questions kids?"

She almost ignored the other man who had defeated the demon and walked towards the end of the alley. She had failed in her mission to convert him. "You didn't have to kill him you know!" she shouted angrily. "Some demons can change!...And who the hell is 'them' anyway?"

She ran towards the church across the street ignoring the strange man and what he had to say. All her life she had tried converting demons to be good creatures instead of evil. To stop eating humans... Laleth had almost cried when she thought of how she couldn't bring down the demon. Her depression began to seep in. What was worse was that the man had killed it before she could give it a second chance. Everyone deserved a second chance, she thought...

She paused as she entered the church. Wait. She still smelled the scent of a demon. "Was that man?" Laleth began to ask softly.

"There you are!" went the nun Melissa. "You had me worried sick! I told you not to fight demons anymore!"

"But the others were in trouble!" Laleth spoke as she headed to her room.

Ploping back down on the bed, Laleth spotted the other two men still outside. She had been angry that she couldn't take down the beast herself. She was fully capable of battle. And those two men.,.They had been aware of the demon's power. Had they been tracking it? Laleth thought this and more as she watched them. The demonic man who had killed the other demon had a filthy stench and Laleth wanted to finish him...

Each second she got angrier and angrier. How dare he finish her target? How dare they both make her look foolish?! With that Laleth had made up her mind and started packing...

A new man had appeared and finished off the demon. This man had the ability to completely destroy this thing, which Sanjia had never seen before. After the battle, he put his weapon away, not feeling any kind of threat from the anyone near.

"You must be blade, and you definitely are Laleth. I have my orders from my liege, and you may or may not like them. I am to find you all, and bring you to damned sea. There you will have a destiny bestowed upon you like no other."

These words meant nothing to Sanjia, so he started to walk away, knowing that he did what he could to help out here.

"I didn't need your help."

"Really, it sure looked like it to me." He thought to himself.

"I'll even be kind enough to let you tag along with them, they may or may not need a hand...Any questions kids?"

He stopped after hearing this, because he knew the man was referring to him. He thought about it, then replied, "Depends on the situation I will be getting myself into. I have my own job to do, but I could use a break. I do have a question, though: who the hell are you? Both of you, for that matter."

He decided to stick around and hear what they had to say, before making up his mind.

After being seated for a while, relaxing, he departed from The Retreat, heading out of Haro.

Khati was not far off, so he had decided to go there and see if anything was going on there, he didn't really have anything to do, so he had been just travelling around, just a matter of time until he walks into some event, then things would become interesting.

When he arrived, he noticed a group of three people gathered. Well, they were all people, except for one of them looked quite different. Crimson Wolf thought this...thing, looked like it was sinister, but he remained calm, and didn't allow his actually thoughts to be clear to it as he approached it.

"The others, they look like normal people, but you seem a lot different." he said, looking at the others when he spoke of them, then at the one he was speaking to as he shifted to noting it seems different from them. "Pardon me for asking, but who and what are you?" he asked, trying to not offend it and make it angry.

Blade watched as he jumped back as a man appeared and helped him. Then a sinister looking person appeared as well, and defeated the demon in seconds. He then knew Blade's name, and the girl's, Laleth. Blade guessed she was a priest. She got all huffy as she mentioned she didn't need their help and stalked away. "Seems to me like you did..." Blade said softly, so only himself and possibly the dark newcomer could hear.

Blade turned to the man, placing his spear across his neck. He listened as the demon explained an offer, and then the person who seemed like nothing in the dark man's eyes asked who they both were. Blade nodded to him. "Since this demon already knows me for some reason" here Blade was guessing: once he focused, he realized that the dark aura he had felt since the tavern was emanating from the newcomer "i'll introduce myself to you. My name is Blade, which i think you heard, and I am a skilled mercenary."

Blade glanced at the demon. "As well as a skilled fighter if need be." Blade was about to ask who the demon was as well, before a third man showed up and asked. Blade's question was implied, so he shifted his grip so he could swing his spear down in an arc to strike the demon if nessecary.

"i'll introduce myself to you. My name is Blade, which i think you heard, and I am a skilled mercenary."

"Mercenary, eh." Replied Sanjia. "I haven't met many mercenaries in my travels."

He had a sneaky suspicion about the man that finished off the demon, and about the newcomer that appeared, so he kept his hand near his weapon, ready to draw at a moments notice. The man who destroyed the demon seemed to know everyone as though they were friends, so he had to ask:

"Do you know him?" He asked Blade, referring to the strange man.
