have you ever thought or even beat Omega w/ plain physical str and normal magic and Gf's?

i tried them a lot,,, but i never ended into a success(-,-)

how bout you guys??

Omega's a huge pain in the arse in this game. I've made half hearted attempts to go and try to beat him, but I haven't yet. Though in reference to the topic title, I don't like using invicibility spells since I like challenges. Besides, I think I've only managed to get Invincible Moon once, and that was in the second boss fight with Sorceress Edea so it's not very reliable to me o_O

One day I intend to go fight Omega in a serious effort and will probably rely on Squall and Rinoa with Lionheart and Angel Wing (I know a lot of people hate this one, but if used properly it's the best limit break besides Lionheart).

Um, if I remember correctly...I did use Hero Drinks and Invisible Moon while fighting a very hard boss. I cannot remember if it was Omega though. Probably was. Actually, especially towards the ending of the game, I used quite a few hero drinks to make the game easier for me.

I've only attempted to face Omega once, and it was after I came back to my last save file 4 years after I beat the game. I was sooo rusty with FFVIII that I tried once but got Squall, Rinoa, and Zell smeared all over the screen. I didn't want to do that cheap-ass Aura Limit break bullshit either. I wanted a grinded out dirty long fight, so I'm going to give it a try the legit way.

I was so bad at this game. Usually I'm fairly decent at creating good strategies and understanding the fundamental battle system well enough to survive almost any battle... I don't think I've ever died more times than in Final Fantasy VIII. Congrats if you've managed to beat the game. I had such a hard time doing anything. Even with my characters almost maxed out, I still died on some of the creatures outside of Ultimacea's castle when I picked it up again about a month ago...

I have never used an invincibility (or had one for that matter) spell or item, if you play with the junction system properly you don't need to

hmm angel wing with meateor was good
if you can do zell's duel limit properly then it can be better than lionheart

what you mean by zells limit using properly,, wow is there really a way that it could exceed lionheart?:D that would be awesome combo strikes:)

i never once used a hero in FF8, and i beat Omega without ever once getting an invincible moon... and i found the battle incredibly easy.

~OMG! this is my 100th post!!!! YAY ME!!~

lol that's quite impressive, I have never personally seen the point in items that give you invinciblity, takes the fun away

If Normal magic you mean..Haste, Aura, Meltdown..then yes. Normal strength I suppose..if you count limit breaks.

I never used either of the items. I never was at a point where everyone was going to die next round unless i used the items. They really give invincibility? Im going to have to play through it again and see myself. Damn my file deleting ways.

omfg how can you possibly find it to be easy, the damn dude can do an attack that will kill anyone thats not at full hp, and send the rest to 1

but as far as im conserned i have beaten him w/out hero drinks or invincible, or aura for that matter, in fact i never even AQUIRED a hero drink, where do you get them, from the cards? I wouldnt however, say that the battle was "easy", in fact it took me about 6 or so tries to do it, but it all came down to proper timing and some well placed spells

congrats for reaching your 100th post:D

hey what on earth did you do to beat omega w/o invincible moon?
and surprsisingly you said it was a easy fight for you:O,, can i have some advice:D

basicly all you need is two healers and a fighter, give the fighter (preferably Squall) the command ability Revive, and one of the healers, then give the command ability Recover to the other healer, then use the Recover healer to keep the Revive healer up in hp, if he pulls off the one hitter, revive the reviver with the fighter, if he knocks the fighter down low, bust out a limit, and THEN heal him/her with the recoverer, rinse, repeat.

but Omega can hit me once but strikes all characters to death.... how could i avoid that.. w/o invincibility

u have 9,999 max hp? if not know that his all hitting explosion thing maxes out on dmg at 9,998 lmao yes i know its odd, but its the truth, er at least it was the last time i fought him
