Will power is an evil thing, as are cakes and all things fattening. Resisting food is KILLING me. Why does all the unhealthy stuff have to taste so goooood.
Is anyone else struggling with a diet atm? Don't tell me I'm all alone :gasp:

I'm aiming to be 8 stone by the 18th of May, so that gives me 3 weeks to lose a whole stone. It's gunna kill me this is

I'v been to the gym today and now I ache all over and I am sick of the sight of salad stuff. But I'm bloody determined

And this is after only 3 days of dieting, it's making me cranky :gasp:

AlternTIVELY, if anyone knows any good diet plans post them here :monster:
 
I've already told you the best diet: drink as much as you can so that you lose almost all your appetite. It takes about 10 litres a day though, so it's rather expensive. :wacky:
 
I don't think I could drink that much, I get my 8 glasses and thats about it, plus I wee enough aas it is. And can't you like drown yourself if you drink to much water?

Cutting back on food is a bad idea!! Sure swapping some cakes for greens helps, but eating a significant amount less makes your body go into "fasting mode", which means it will hold on to any fat at all in your diet instead of burning it, in the end you'll have more that way AARGH!!!

So do eat some cakes every once in a while, just go easy. And your body will chill out and be more responsive to the greens when you eat them ^^

Exercise is really much more important to the loss than eating habits. I've found that when you get exercising you forget about your appetite anyway, especially if it's stuff you enjoy doing. Gyms SUCK!!! They are no fun at all, no fun means more likely to binge afterwards ^^

And green tea of course, on top of all the water Juliet suggested. It will help speed up your metabolism and burn fat faster. Hope I'm helping with all this :)
 
just exchange bread and carbs for meat and vegetables

Stay away from sodas and drink lots of water, before you know it you will enjoy water more than soda
 
I don't drink pop anyway, all I ever drink is cordial. I know my downfall is alcohol and bread, I really need to cut back on those nasty critters

todays not gone to bad after the initial hunger, I'v just been scoffing lots of fruit
 
Fruit is good for a snack but it's nutritional value is still not enough.
 
i have never needed to diet as i have always known that as long as i am happy with my body then i don't care but if you do quite alot of exercise then it will be alot easier to loose weight as your body will start to burn off any excess fat

Last year I used to go CRAZY with all those diets! For 2 weeks
I ate nothing but 3 sticks of celery a day...I used to be skinny before, than became an anorexic(kinda)....Im recovered now though =3... Still really skinny (Bweh! DX)

I agree. Cutting back is definitely not cool as it will actually do the reverse on your body. (That and it's not healthy at all. You want to do your diet the right and healthy way.) Just watch what kind of food you eat and alternate when necessary - as long as you eat three meals a day, you're all good. Healthy snacks in between won't hurt at all, but yeah, I do agree that the healthier snacks don't really taste as good. Still, it's something though, right?

Hmm, cutting back on carbs will also help, but don't cut back too much to the point where you're actually frustrated for not having your bread. Just limit the amount you eat and you should be fine.

Jogging will also help greatly, so don't forget that.

Finally, if it makes you feel better, I am also having a hard time with my diet at the moment. xD I really should start taking my own advice more often.

So don't go too far with diets!
The resulsts can be patrifieng! I mean Im too scared to wear a bikini now! Which is Ba-a-ad!

Since you have to eat, and no one wants to eat vegetables for dinner everyday, I suggest fish or chicken. It's white meat and it's less fatening that other meats. Don't eat steak.
Drink lots of tea as it has lots of anti-oxidants and other stuff like that, which help out your kidneys. It's almost like a detox.

However, the main thing is exercise, run for about 30 minutes a day. Then you will lose weight and get fitter.

actually, speaking of vegetarians, as I am one. Ever since I made the change, I have lost quite a fair bit of weight.

Now, I'm not trying to forces veggies down your throat, but, you know, replacing some meat for a truck load of veggies helps.

Oh, btw, the cutting your food in half, then its half the calories, then you get to eat twice as much doesn't work. I've tried :wacky:
 
I agree chicken and fish are the way to go, should be cheaper than steak too ^^

I found for exercise that going for really long walks with the pushchair helped, I'd just pack some food then go walking for ages. Jonny didn't complain because he got to see loads of stuff, and the walking will set you up for the harder exercise. I wish I could go out jogging, but my ahem, chest is too big and I can't find a good sports bra >_<

I lurve Yoga!!! It feels really silly the first couple of times but then it gets really cool, and it doesn't even feel like work. I just stick the DVD on for an hour and Jonny joins in aswell. Then I put my computer on afterwards as a reward :wacky:
 
I'm too bloody lazy for all that, although I might eat summore fish I like cod...off to the gym again later with my friend. Fun and games. Im still aching from yesterday

And I feel sick today, I think it's all those radishes I scoffed last night :wacky: Gunna see if I still way 9 sodding stone when I get to the gym aswel

And I've been drinking loooads of tea and water. I can't function without a cuppa :wacky:

If you go the gym don't do weights, as muscle weighs more than fat, so you'd just be putting on more weight.

As for drinking lots, I have a freind who is a personal trainer, and one way to lose weight is to spit into a bucket, as that dehydrates you, which causes you to lose weight. I didn't ask how it works, I just thougt I'd pass that on:neomon:
 
That's disgusting, dude. Blech. Purposely dehydrating yourself sounds dangerous.

Drink lots of water, go for a jog each day, and lay off the fast food and candy. Switching from white bread to wheat bread is a help...though wheat bread tastes like shit.
 
D: I loves teh wheat bread. I actually hate white bread. God, but I could never have the will power for a diet. Or to become a vegetarian. Give up meat? Pffft, no thanks. I like me some meat ;D

Went to the gym yesterday, (2 days in a row woohoo) Had some porridge for me breakfast - so far so good...so far, although I REALLY wanted some chocolate last nigh goddamit....

Was gunna go to the gym today aswel but I ache all over so i think I'l give it a miss. I just have to avoid the alcohol tonight now. That's gunna be the hardest part :wacky:
