Original Dissidia Turns My Psp Off!

For some reason when i have Dissidia in my Psp it just randomly turns off.
At first i thought it was my battery so i brought a new one but it still kept happening.
Even if im not playing Dissidia if im at the Psp Dashboard(or whatever its called) and i put my Psp on standby, i go to turn it on a couple of hours later and the Psp will start up like its been turned off instead of resuming from where i was when i put it on standby.
I recently loaned Dissidia to a friend and he told me that his Psp just randomly turns off too, and ive started playing another game on my Psp now and it doesnt turn off anymore.
Ive had Dissidia for over a year and its only just started doing it. How?
 
That's pretty strange. I had sort of a similar problem for a while, where I'd be playing and at completely random times the screen would pop up that asks me if I want to go back to the PSP Dashboard. Sometimes it'd get so bad where it'd happen 10+ times in a single match. Eventually I got frustrated and gave my PSP a spank on its butt and it started to behave. After quite a while, it did it a few more times and I smacked it again, and it's been good ever since.

Though... I don't advocate or encourage hitting your electronics to make them work.

Do you have a warranty on your PSP, though? Like, could you bring it in to get it checked out or potentially swap it for a new one?
 
I had a warrenty but its long expired now, its never happened for anything else only just recently when i play Dissidia so i might buy Dissidia again and see what happens
 
Yeah, if other games work fine and your friend's PSP turns off when it plays your Dissidia, it's probably the game. Maybe it got scratched or something and the laser reads something it doesn't like that causes your PSP to turn off.

If you know anyone with a copy of Dissidia, I'd borrow it from them to test it out before going out and buying it again, though. I'd hate to end up wasting my money if I were in your shoes.
