Does it give you immense satisfaction to prove someone wrong and they admit that you were in the right?
To me it does. Right now, life is just a big academic team match for me, just answering questions right all the time, and I mean all the time.
It's satisfying proving someone wrong when they so vehemently support their own cause and statements and you are just sure that he or she is wrong. It gives the impression that I'm smarter, though I really am not; but that is just my take on it when I'm in that mood.
