I was a big fan of hers. I know some people did not like the disco era but I happened to enjoy it.
She had a certain charisma about her that appealed to me. She along with the Bee Gees helped to bring some liveliness to a rather stale music scene back in those days for me.

RIP Donna.I will miss you.

I liked a few of her songs but it's always sad to see someone go. It sucks that it was cuz of cancer, too. :/

she was no doubt one of the best vocalists in the disco era. too bad her and many others had issues making the cross over form the disco era, she was talented and has inspired many singers we hear today.

also today robin gibb of the bee gees has passed away. also was battling cancer. he was 62.

This is very disheartening. Donna Summer was a supremely talented vocalist. I personally loved her song, "Hot Stuff." I may not have been born in the disco era but because of my mother, uncle, and my aunt I can appreciate these wonderfully talented people. May she, along with Robin Gibb rest in peace. They will be missed.
