This game is the best. The graphics were amazing, the battles were fun,and don't forget to mention the Alchemy Pot!!!!The voice acting was superior, the humor was right on,I mean, does anyone else feel this way?Talk about your favorite stuff from it,and what did you name your main character?Mine was Mordecai.Who was your favorite character? What about the optional dragon bosses after the game is finished?I love this game so much.......

Hehe Megalixir I think you made this thread right after finishing the game eh? am I right^_^? Yea it really is a cool game and very challenging even after it's story's end. I still can't beat the Darksteel Dragon form of that fukin Lord of The Dragovians ffs(after game-ending boss).
The only bad thing about it is that the hero doesn't have a voice, and anyone else never adresses him by his name since u can change it. But that aside it was a great RPG.

Hey Sephiroth-yeah,I finished it recently.I also finished all the Dragons at the end.It woulda been awesome if at the end the hero would have actually voiced a line ot two.

Woa,woa, woa what dragons? The Lord of the Dragovian's forms??????????? I can't kill that Darksteel Dragon NO MATTER how much I try. How did u defeat that monster?

I beat the game it was ok and I enjoyed it for the most part but I found it a bit repeatitive with the dungeons and I thought having to go to a Church to save the game a huge pain even when I use the teleport-thingy

I used the Alchemy Pot to make sure I had the best stuff, and I leveled to 93.The great thing, the most memorable thing? It was my first attempt at the last form of the dragon, and after what seemed an eternity, the only one standing was Yangus, with like 76 HP left...I was a goner, and I was already ready to just let my sister borrow it,I was done with it.But Yangus got in one last hit for a measly amount, and down he went!!!!!!!!I literally jumped up and whooped and hollered!!!!Oh,I tell you,it was great!!!

lol, The Dragons Gave me greif and they still torment me with their over poweredness, and my memory card messed up and erased all my data for all games, but I started playing this after and now Im up against the dog possesed by Rapthorne

Hmm, I bought this game specifically for the FFXII demo on it's release date, and never really got into it when I did start it. I played 10 to 15 minutes, but an old friend of mine got it and loved it as well. I'll have to pull it out of the closet. ^^

It was a good game. I think the way the hero doesnt talk is a common RPG cliche that made this game seem more traditional...

Well, Dragon Quest is pretty much the root of the Japanese RPG genre, no wonder it's filled with clichés. But it's nice to know some things will never change. Ah nostalgia...

As for the other installments... The first three were ported to the GBC. Should be easy to find, but there are better ways to spend your time. Don't bother with VII, the PSone game, it's boring, slow and way to long.

I'd suggest checking out the SNES games (V and VI), but then I'd be pointing you in directions that may or may not be illegal :)

I'm at the last boss and have no intention to continue.
lol
best battle is agaist Marcello at the Goddess Statue

I cannot believe how hard this game was! I played about 90 hours, grew my party to 80,got at least two attributes maxed out,and still could not defeat the Dragovian Lord. This is the hardest RPG I have ever played! (and thats alot of RPGs!)

Oh, one more thing, Dhoulmagus somehow reminds me of Kelfka. They are both power hungry, think human life is worth nothing, and both look like clowns.

My friend just returned it to me today so I can get back into it after I finish my coursework and Final Fantasy 12. A very tough and time consuming game, but none the less it's a very enjoyable experience, just actually need a fair chunk of time to devote to it in order to get the best out of it.

I rented this after I had seen a few people talking about it on a forum, and I played a little while but returned it quickly xD

It's just not my style at all, and I found it very irritating.
