You may have heard of the group before, and if not then you've more than likely heard their songs in movie trailers and such. They are a group that specializes in modern instrumental music and I dare say I love them to death.

Some of their works are as follows:

Unstoppable

Pompeii

Menouthis

Ebla

These are just some of their greats. They have also made the theme for Monday Night Football, and have done the theme for one of the themes for Grey's Anatomy.

I would highly recommend checking them out if you love strong instrumental, epicness.

I've heard of them but haven't heard much of their music. I know them from watching Cold Case. Part of their song "Nara" is used as the opening theme for that show. I listened to the four clips you posted though and I have to admit, I like them all quite a bit. I'll have to look into getting some of their albums. :awesome:

I came across them about a year and a half ago and immediately grew to like them.

They have two albums I believe. I have the first, Unearthed, and the second, Cartographer, came out a year or so ago and I've been meaning to get it for the longest of times.

I really do like them. As far as epic (as a genre) music goes I think they're one of the best. They really build up an atmosphere, often building up to be dramatic, for the ancient city the song is named after (on the first album), and I just love to imagine the city with the music playing.

Just got their new album a couple of days ago. It's pure, unadulterated WIN. I like it much, MUCH more than their first two albums. Every single track is epic, and just when you think it can't get any more epic, they do their own rendition of Moonlight Sonata.

My ears exploded in a massive eargasm. :britt:

Oooo. Pretty much liked the music in the first one. Sounded kinda Sephiroth battle like. :wacky:

I gave them all the 30 seconds in, but I know it's not my kind of thing, I dunno about the first one though, I quite like that one... :hmmm:

:awesome: Epic music (I particularly like Ebla). I can see why they use it in movies. Thanks for posting!

And Caravaggio ftw :yay:

I love the one used in Sherlock Holmes, Unstoppable. Man is a genuis with his musical talents, some of his work is truly amazing.

After listening to the new album and getting it on my computer, I felt as if the quality of Youtube makes the songs sound... Worse. Listening to it 320bps is the way to go with E.S Posthumus.

Here are some more songs from their new album:

Kalki:

Varuna:

Durga:

Over all, I would have to say that this is the best of their three albums, and I'm loving every minute of it. In fact, I listen to this album about once a day. And the ending song... It's so great. :yay:

It's a Beethoven song, but they do it justice. ^_^

Moonlight Sonata:

EDIT: Also, they collaborated with Jay-Z and Rihanna for the intro of the Super Bowl last year. Even though I hate Jay-Z and Rihanna, they made it sound good. It was gread because 3 E.S Posthumus songs were used if you listen carefully. (Seeing as how the Football theme was written and played by E.S Posthumus years ago.)

Higher Quality Sound:

I don't think they've done any more covers. And although I'm not 100% sure, I do not believe that they've made any themes for any video games. :hmmm:

That's a shame. I could definitely see a lot of potential there.

"Anumati" is good too, I love the intro :D

Oh, awesome! I was looking through this forum and found this thread... which then reminded me to check out E.S. Posthumus again. I just downloaded a few songs to my MP3 player.

I remember the first song I heard by them was Nara, and I instantly youtube'd it and listened to a lot of their songs. I really love how original and easy to listen to they are. With some instrumentals, you get bored really easily. Not with E.S. Posthumus.

Wow, I actually just found "Krosah" on Youtube and I think this is my new favorite song by them :yay: Crazy epic. I actually muted a game I'm playing in order to listen to this while leveling up, and I hardly ever do that :D
