emerald weapon, i can die happy now

I bought final fantasy many years ago, and never beat emarald or ruby weapon. But today, i thought of a idea on how to beat emerald. And it worked!!! i didnt even have KOTR. The way i did it, was actually really hard. W-item megalixer and lunar curtain like a mad man!! and used clouds omnislash, red 13s earth rave and yuffies doom of the living alot. I had to time all this very carefully. After about 30 mins or so, i won..........and i know other people beat him but it means alot to me lol. Has anyone used my method before???
 
i just beat ruby yeahhhh but my game is being weird. noooooo. i beat ruby and hes dead but clouds just standing there and the fight music is still going on......
 
Ah if it's a bug, then to me it doesn't count

Ididnt really use a strategy to beat emerald, I just kept dying and re-trying til I got lucky with the all lucky 7's. I have only done it the once and I was very pleased with myself >_>

Try opening your disk tray and closing it again, I have tht problem all the time. Hopefully it should work.....
 
whoops. i used the escape magic, and its like i beat ruby but didnt get nothing for it. hahahahaha. i just reseted my game and try again, he actually wasnt too hard.
 
I've managed to beat Emerald WEAPON before without using KotR or hardly any of the so called 'recommended Materia'. Don't ask me what set-up I used because it was like 6 years ago, all you need to know is that im awesome and Emerald sucked c0ck that day.

Now you got Ruby WEAPON to beat now eh?

I killed him with Limit breaks and 4X Cut.

Everybody in my party had Final Attack materia and 4X Cut Etc. So it wasnt that hard for me. I see people who beat him very fast but whats the fun in that?? Btw i never had Lucky 7 (7777 HP) and i beat this game more then 60 times, stables full with Gold chocobo's XD and everybody got Master materia. Btw does anyone know if there is a way to force lucky 7 at lvl 99? i would like to try so i can say i have had it once atleast.
 
I actually beat ruby weapon shortly after emerald. :D I got master summon and master magic and master cmmd materia for beating emerald so i just used Dazers on ruby and let KOTR do there stuff. Seeing ruby and emerald turn transperant red and disappear made me soo happy. Its funny cuz i actually been serverly depressed for the past 2 months. lol
 
I used online methods to beat them both, and I've never gotten lucky 7s. I guess I'm just not special. lol.
 
i never even attempted to get lucky 7s. Isnt the whole point of getting 7s is by luck. At random. But when people actually plan out lucky 7s, its more like.....mediocre 7s, or being a smart ass 7s. lol
 
Yah, I just let the game play as it will, generally. I'm not going out of my way to get it.
 
First time I beat Emerald and Ruby, I used Cloud... and only Cloud :)

Emerald:
Cloud Limit Break Level 4 - Omnislash
3 x Hero Drink
5x Mime Materia linked with 5x Counter Materia
W-Item - Elixir

Ruby:
W-Summon
Knights of the Round abosrbed with HP Abosorb
Counter linked with Mime

I got lucky 7's by luck....obviously, and there is the underwater materia to wipe off the time limit you know, don't you get it from that dude in Kalm, or am I thinking of something else there......
 
Wow, i can't believe the methods you all use, i can beat Emerald Weapon with Cloud only, under 20 Minutes, the easiest way possible. I beat him around Lvl 70 or 80.
Knights of the Round + HP absorb, W-Summon, Mime, HP Plus Mastered.

The only thing you need is Summon Knights of the Round W-Summoned once, then just keep casting Mime until he dies, you won't waste more MP and you always Recover Full-HP when the KoF are summoned. Also when he uses the Air Tam Storm, instead of taking 9999HP it only takes 5555HP, due to you only have 5 Materias equipped :D
 
Well done mate, and that video of the under 7 secs is just friggin crazy...
