As to be expected, the album has been leaked prior to release, and naturally, I've "obtained" it via the wonder that is the internet.

Don't worry, I will be buying it though, prefer having the original hard copies.

Listenning through it now, it's pretty good.

Much different sound to what Relapse had, he's dropped the accents and the production is much different.

+100 rep to the guy for being as versatile as he is.

EDIT: OMG get this fucking album.

It is fucking epic.

"Going Through Changes" - what a song.
"No Love" - Em absolutely lays it. Awesome.
"Space Bound" Another excellent track.
"Not Afraid" - Great.

This album gets better as it goes along.

So much better than Relapse.

Eminem is back.

An eminem fan eh??

Dude, I love him like no lie <3

He's just a fantastic rapper and he's very talented.

Its coming out soon right?

I need to listen to some of these songs :ryan:

I pretty much love all his music.

+rep for youuu my friend :ryan:

Due out the 22nd, so not long to go. ^_^

Really would recommend it to anyone. He's back to former self with this album, I'd rank it up there with The Marhsall Mathers LP....

My manager was going mad about this today and begged me to listen to it when I get a chance. Said its the best thing Eminem has done since Marshall Mathers LP. So I shall have to give it a listen when I can find it!

Heard all of these a while ago. Personally I like "No Love" the best, but I'm still waiting for the inevitable comedy track that will define his whole album.

I can't stand rap. :mokken: Talentless most the time. But he does write some deep songs sometimes. I'll give it a listen just cause I don't like judging.

There is none.

Couple of songs have the punch lines, but there's nothing to follow the likes of My Name Is, The Real Slim Shady, Without Me, Just Lose It, and We Made You. Nothing at all like this on the whole album.

Just gave it a quick listen yesturday and so far its pretty damn good. Hes got some good artists on the album with me like P!nk and Im glad its not a comical album. Eminem can do good comedy, but I think his more serious stuff is his best.

I agree. I love Eminem and some of his songs (comical ones) are good songs but, his deeper songs are what I think the best <3.

For example, Mockingbird. I loooove that song and he talks about what went on in his life and I just love how he can do that. Like i can connect to it.

I have to say I love this album <3 he's the shit. period.

I've always hated Eminem's regular stuff mainly because I have never liked rap (especially angry rap), and I don't like listening to all of his yelling and the mean things he says about people. But I do like it when he makes the fun songs like Without Me and My Band, they are catchy as hell and always last for a really long time on the radio. That sucks that he doesn't have anything like that on his new album.

Alot of the rappers who are big out there today don't seserve it. Em is one of the few tha tdo deserve it . I used to hate rap also, until i started actually listening to the lyrics and such.

I'm excited for this new album he has but i have a question.

Does anyone know if he;s done with the drugs?

He was actually "clean" for Relapse and is still clean now.

He says in one of the songs on Recovery: "The last two albums didn't count, Encore on drugs, Relapse I was flushin' them out"

The title "Relapse" was more to do with the fact that he came back to rap. Recovery was originally known as "Relapse 2" but the title got changed as the album progressed, supposedly symbolic of how he's returned to his former self with the album, dropping the accents and speaking more about himself and his life rather than all the jokey comedy stuff Relapse had.

yeah Recovery is pretty amazing. Now im a huge Eminem fan and i havent found one person who agrees with me when i say that Relapse is better than Recovery. Relapse is eminem, only one sample, the typical guests ex. dr. dre, and raw lyrics. Recovery is very good and i love it but all the guest and sampled hooks are kinda a let down, its not em. Its him going in a new direction that isnt him. Last album he says, "ll pee on rihanna, see man i do what i wanna." now he does a song with her.

He also says in many interviews that if he goes after someone in a song, they shouldn't take it personally, he's just playing around, unless there is "beef" going on.

As for the samples from the likes of Ozzy and such this isn't really new. "Beautiful" from Relapse sampled Paul Rogers for example. There are a few from his past records aswell.

yeah i know hes sampled before. but usually its only 1 song per album. this album its like every song, minus the ones with featured guests and his song to proof.

Noone I know has seemed to spot it yet.

The song for Proof, You're Never Over, yeah?

There's actually a sample there, which everyone seems to overlook. ;)

Cry Little Sister, the soundtrack from The Lost Boys is sampled in that song. :P
