did anyone think that ffx give away the ending for ff x-2 or is it just me cos iv seen all endings and they all look the same

It didn't give away the ending to me. It sort of led into it. Tidus swimming up to the surface in the water was probably meant to speculate something, and X-2 just happened to use that to show
Tidus's comeback
I didn't suspect anything from the ending, so I don't think so.

I don't think so either, to be honest there were multiply endings for FFX-2 anyway and I had fun finding out what they were going to be.

I mean I kind of expected at least one cliche ending and of course we were given one.

I don't think it gave away the ending of x2, considering that they weren't even thinking of doing a true sequel at the time they made it. I saw it as just a tribute or something to having the main character die for the first time in a while, and at the same time, showing off for one last time that "Yes, can go all out on graphics with this new PS2."

It didn't give away the ending to me. (that's because I finished FFX-2 first)

Mod Edit: Could you add a bit more effort to your post, please? :)

No. I sortof thought it was a a dream tbh or some shit like that :wacky: I'm pretty slow when it comes to those things xD

Plus, didn't Tidus wake up in water in the begginning of the game? That's why i always just assumed that it was a dream :hmmm:

hmm.. maybe a little, but that's because i knew there is another spinoff, but when i first finished FFX-2 i didn't get perfect ending (i didn't even know that there is one), so you know... ah...And when i finally get perfect ending i was like Whoa! so yeah, maybe a little

I didn't think that FFX's ending with Tidus swimming gave away FFX-2's ending at all.

I had no idea what FFX-2 was about until I bought and when I found out that the game was
mainly about Yuna finding Tidus
I didn't even put two and two together for the longest time. >.<

I just though that the end of FFX with Tidus was just showing us that he was happy where he was now and that it wasn't really the end of him or something nice like that.
But at the time I never thought that he would actually come back in FFX-2, considering you get the good ending.

No I dont think it did...I imagine most people thought tidus would come back but we didnt realy know what the ending would be for me it didnt give it away and orriginally I didnt get the ending thet had tidus in it<--the Perfect ending so for me it was a surprise...well one I knew about;) But it didnt give it away to me

No it didn't spoil the ending for X-2 because they weren't planning on making a sequel and the ending had a certain meaning. It could have meant:

1. Tidus somehow coming back. Or it leaves hope for Tidus/Yuna fans that somehow he came back. I don't think they were planning on using that scene for X-2 because they didn't think there would be a X-2.

2. One of the fayth told Tidus that
when the dream ended they would dream up a new sea for him to swim in. It could have been SE showing us that in the Farplane he had a new sea to swim in like the fayth said.

But then they decided to make X-2 and honestly I thought that
Tidus was the person in the sphere video, though we know it was actually Shuyin. I thought that maybe the first option had happened after X, that somehow he came back, and he was captured or something

But once I figured out what was going on in the game I never actually thought I would see the same scene as the end of X. When I did see it though I had the biggest grin on my face. lol.

I didn't think FFX gave away FFX-2. I do remember though, when I watched the FFX ending, screaming at the TV, "OMG THERES GOING TO BE A SEQUEEELLLL" but I didn't think it would give anything away.
Shame that sequel turned out to be awful. -__- Although, when I play it, I do enjoy it just... it is ... awful. :monster:

I played FFX after FFX-2 was out, but even then, the ending of FFX didn't lead me to think there would be anything like that in FFX-2.

FFX-2 just decided to incorporate that scene into the game, that's all.

I just found FFX's ending to tease the fans into thinking whatever they want. I mean, I kind of thought Tidus was back in Zanarakand xD
